  • sting is soooo handsome :O

  • such a good song quality, unlike the shit today were all the lyrics are the same

  • I wish i had crazy friends that would dance with me... :( [foreveralone]

  • I can't express my love for the classics. I love the new music (dubstep specifically) and old (90's and below). I can't decide which to love more. I'd compare it to trying to choose which child you love more.

  • shut up, this is american. stay on your side you mexican

  • que mierda hace el pitbull aca ???????? es vergonzoso .-.

  • "Każda mała rzecz, którą ona robi jest magiczna"... Fajnie by było, gdyby każdy facet tak myślał o swojej ukochanej :))

  • Can I ask everyone a serious question: Can you tell any difference whatsoever between Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, One Erection, or Clubbing in the Club Club Anthem 54? NO, because it's all the same

  • @mariomadness987 no we can't because we don't listen to false music ;)

  • Ok I'm 16, I dont want people generalizing teenagers saying that they listen to only whats in the charts. 90 % of mainstream music nowadays is over-commercialized crap. However, if you search for it, you can still find good music, you just have to get out of your mainstream bubble.

  • @awakenthedemon95

this music was commercialized in its moment, and if you do that, you will be a " hypster " Wich is too mainstream right now..

    Just listen. thats all

  • @aponcecortess Yes, I know this was mainstream back in it's day but it was rightly commercialized. Music that is good deserves to be commercialized. However, mainstream music back then was much better than it is today. I think it's a real shame how all these mainstream 'artists' nowadays that abuse autotune are selling millions of records around the world.

  • @awakenthedemon95 Testifah, bratha!! Fuckin' TESTIFAH!!! I'm 17, & I always hated alt' rock, & I never got in2 anybody from the '00s or anybody else lately. I've always been in2 the '80s, some '70s, the only groups from the '60s that I listen 2 r Cream & Hendrix's groups, but I'm a HUGE Police fan. I actually have all their albums.

  • @LORDAKIRA2019 Nice to see someone agree with me but I should tell you that if you looked for it, you would be surprised about the amount of new good music.

  • I've always loved this song as well as the group but I just wish that the sound quality was better on this video

  • Welsh history lesson: Tell a story of a thousand rainy days.

  • This was alot better before Vevo sped it up to Chipmunk speed. What a load of garbage

  • @thedesiresymposium VEVO has not sped it up It is totalz the same I have it on CD.

  • I want to be in that room where they're all dancing. I think that would be a very fun party.

  • Had to love seeing Sting slap Steve Copelands hand haha "hey hey dont touch that"

  • @retselom649 Haha yeah , it´s classic! But every little thing they do is magic!

  • @retselom649 oops i meant Stewart, not Steve

  • Sorry, but I think the speed is intentionally sped up. This ruins it for me.

  • 64 people got Arrested by the Police

  • Sting= Foreveralone

  • ...but it's always me that ends up getting wet...

  • MV of NO SCARED???

  • looks like the dudes in the video r havin some super fun...haha ..now dats music

  • its one thing to talk abut it and a completely other thing to associate it with everyday festivities hahaaa

  • What a great band!!

  • i'd love to hear deftones cover this song. seriously. :D

  • haha the hat thing at 3:04

  • pause at 1:55

  • Reminds me of good times :)

  • OMG!

  • el viideoo mas chistosa de The Poliice! hahha

    xD

  • The start of this song reenforces my theory that while the Police are rightfully in the all-time Top 100 bands list, they were perhaps the greatest opening-30-seconds artists in the history of popular music.

  • My favorite. The Police were my second favorite band at age 14 (1981) next to The Beatles!! Then I discovered punk rock...

  • What's the name of the guy in the white vest? He's sexy as fuck!

  • @kevinejocelyne Stewart Copeland

  • @GreyRook28 thanks!

  • i LOVE MAGICK, AND IT IS LEGAL!!! ha ha ha

  • Thumbs up if u think Sting is sexy!

  • my heart stopped when Andy jumped up on the console...

  • Greydon the cat is sooooo sweet. He's so shy....so good lookin

  • La Mejor Banda !!! :)

  • Its my current song relating to what I am feeling )

  • this song only has 2 millions views thats a disgrace

  • Amazing tune this :)

  • Love you Montserrat. The only true paradise. Big up Drummons.

  • Every little thing she does is magic, because she's a voodoo witch doctor.

  • Oooo, lovely boys...

  • @oxfrod It was in The Wedding Singer w/ Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore

  • where this video was shot? jamaica? trinidad & tobago?

  • @RaulBillieJean

Montserrat. The studio where the first part of the video was shot in (and where the album was made) is now buried from the volcano eruption.

  • @glassoul thanks for the info! I had no idea!

  • what movie is this from

  • Wonderful song.

"It's a big enough umbrella, but it's always me that ends up getting wet".

  • This will forever be my favourite song.

  • Ah found some good music at last....

  • Sting na kontrze... nieźle nieźle...

  • I want to be back in 1981. Happier, simplier, better music times.

  • @maristela1968 Plus, seeing this stuff on MTV was fun because it was new, and simple. They just played videos, and videos weren't really common before it so we weren't use to seeing what could be done with a song on screen.

  • I have to play this for my band competitions :D It sounds amazing on a trombone x

  • DJ'S aren't musicians!

  • Gosh... no matter HOW many times I hear this song and watch Sting just "JAM" in his element.... I just can't get ENOUGH... it's freakin' BRILLIANT.... all you "haters" ~ just DON'T watch the video if you don't like him.... TURN THE CHANNEL... there is ... NO reason to be RUDE and post negative CRAP about the Police or Sting himself! <3 and PEACE to ALL! ;O)

  • October, 1981, favorite band, song, album....... The 1990's, 2000's etc SUCK ASS!!!!! Thank you.

  • Trends Change. People Change. - And with that, Music is going to change. So everyone stop complaining about today's music !!! If its what a mass majority of people like, its not going to die. :P

  • The Police were a great band but they did mime some Aussie shows and in their early days Sting couldn't sing for shit I saw them on the Old Grey Whistle Test- I had to buy that Bieber DVD on ebay for my daughter but took her to see Guns and Roses as punishment

  • @Streetyify haaaaa.... this makes me lmao...... yeah... we are doing the girly version of that ...."Taylor Swift and Justin Beber" ~ etc........ I am sure that Sting has HIS bad days too and some of his music isn't to "my" liking, but for the most part.... he is a musical genuis and hearing him in Houston, Tx. with the Phillmonic Orchestra" LIVE in BOX SEATS was one of the BEST moments of my life...Damn near SPIRITUAL!!!!! ~ It was AMAZING.. btw~ "I used to love her.." GNR ROCKS! lol <3 ;O)

  • io-o io-o sul finale bella bella!!

  • I find it absolutely hilarious that on almost every single music video I watch, no matter the genre or date of release, Justin Bieber gets brought up. I vote we stop giving him the time of day at all - maybe then he will just go away.

  • j'aime encore......!

  • I like the part where they are singing.

  • This video deserves more hits than 2.2 million.

  • una de las mejores canciones que tiene The police me encanta.

  • this song reminds me of a woman ...

  • @SanjurJavier Feeling that way too

  • I really just like the keyboard in this song.

  • No sé, pero de todas las canciones de The police, esta es la más hermosa... AMAZING SONG

  • is this video sped up and in a higher key?

  • OMG, a very beautiful funny song !!!! love u sting

  • stingy sounds a damn munchkin here

  • great song!!! :-)

  • those three boys have been looking like they were very happy that time... and I think, they really were... :)

  • My ALL TIME favorite song from The Police

  • Loved the studio shots and people of Montserrat dancing to the music outside. Wonderful.

  • Must I always be alone!

Wish I could just tell her.

  • I LOVE THIS SONG...

  • THEY ARE MAGIC!!!

  • @grandtheftautofreak5 Get a real girlfriend, hon. You're been friendzoned.

  • It makes me laugh how people take the time to post a mean comment, then how other people take the time to reply. Then how they all take up they're time to fight - on the internet. Really people, I think we should put aside our differences for once and enjoy a brilliant band playing a brilliant song.

  • @TheLegionLOVER

You're forgetting the self-appointed moderator who comes along and tells everyone how futile it is to argue on the internet.

    sincerely yours,

Proud cog in the comment machine

  • Wow. I forgot just how GREAT this is. Definitely one of The Police's top 5 songs they ever did.

  • GREAT <3

Stop coming online spreading you filth u trifle whore. I hope u end up in indefinite fuckin detention while OBAMA pissed ur children's life way BITCH

  • @donwils3 typical nigger ranting.. always talking about mah dick... the time is coming when everything non-white WILL be purged from the planet...

  • @GR8ISH8 shut the fuck up, for your information the "black folk" where here before us whitey's, they are the land race that cared for the planet until us whiteys came along and fucked it all up, so, yo simple dipshit give it a rest, i would love to see you open your mouth and spout such shit in the ghetto, i would give you 3 seconds before you wherent vertical!

  • @sonicgsxr750 nicely said

  • @GR8ISH8 You are human scum. Fuck you.

  • @GR8ISH8 You are human scum.

  • @GR8ISH8 If I remember The Police recorded at Air Studios in Montseratt and the BBC were filming them for a documentary, that's why there were blacks in the video.

I don't see this as a multiculturalism thing.

  • @GR8ISH8 They're on an island of people whose music greatly influenced them..

  • great song

  • My dad is a cop only because he like "The Police"!

  • @xtronic11 Hahaa! ...Made me chuckle =]

  • This is the impression I like to leave.....MAGIC!!!

  • Music at its best.. The police truly are amazing.

  • 1:55 always made me laugh

  • ♥my love for her goes on,and always will

  • I wonder why my generation has been cursed with all that

musical shitty crap like Justin Bieber,Usher,Rihana,Pitbull,Black Eyed Peas and other

    filthy musicians.

I pray for the re-birth of music like this

  • @bublegumjp Yes! although BEPs were once good i think. but them now and all the rest are total shit.

  • @bublegumjp there was always shit music and good music you just need to know where to look you might find somethings that you like

  • @bublegumjp I completely agree with you. I'm 17 and I think I'm one of the few who even knows The Police on my school :O (except for the teachers:))

  • @bublegumjp Today's artists need to get back to the basics, quit rapping, sampling and make good music.

  • @bublegumjp plain lazy, do a little research, there's plenty of talent, it's just not premiere league as it used to be, simply because lazy people allow the industry to convince them there's no choices. don't let them ;)

  • @bublegumjp LOL don't you know by now that equality means you don't get a choice.

  • @bublegumjp in that list my friend ain't musicians, they're all autotuned money gainers for pricks like Simon Cowell

  • @bublegumjp What music? It's all girly pre-puberty cr*p that grates on your ears, or senseless talking, or electronic effects, or stupid repeats. And they dare call themselves musicians. They don't even write their own music. I mean, sure, in the days of old, they didn't write their own music either, but at least their music made sense.

It's sad that people don't remember these true musicians anymore.

  • @bublegumjp If money wasn't a such a problem than we would get this back!

  • @bublegumjp The ozone layer depletion man, the same phenomenon which is melting the polar caps is also altering the DNA of potentially good young musicians with the disastrous results in music industry we are witnessing today. This has been predicted in the mayan codes thousands of years ago. I hope this lengthy explanation help you somehow.

  • @bublegumjp

Sorry, but if you think those "artists" represent all that modern music has to offer you just aren't bothering to listen beyond shitty mainstream FM radio.

There's lots of great new music out there, you just have to look for it. There were plenty of people back in the early 80's who hated bands like The Police & wished it was the 60s again. And they probably still do.

Do your ears a favour & hunt out some good new music- you'll be surprised at what's out there! :)

  • @matooli Nonsense. Anyone older than 25 knows music has dipped in quality for the past decade or so.

  • @ManilaSyndicate

Well I'm 31 & remain excited by the incredible amount of great new music out there. Keep ranting about "the good old days" while you're listening to the oldies stations then, you boring old fart!

  • @matooli no doubt there are alot of very good musicians out there but there are absoloutley no EXCITING bands out there anymore, there are NO bands that even come close to comparing to the pistols or the smiths or the stone roses or pixies or nirvana or bowie. I mean give me a decade and i can say a dozen indisputable geniuses, except now, there are bareley any, noel gallagher would be nothing in the 80s, hes the pinnacle today.

  • @bobbydylanio

Bjork, Radiohead, PJ Harvey, Low, Flying Lotus, TV On The Radio, Modeselektor, Bill Callahan, Tim Hecker, Flaming Lips, Portishead, Fleet Foxes, Liars, Four Tet, Arcade Fire, Bon Iver, The Horrors, EMA, Arctic Monkeys, Thundercat,,,,,,,, oh Christ, work it out for yourself (and fuck Noel Gallagher)

  • @matooli Bjork, radiohead,pj harvey, flaming lips, portishead were all established in the 90s and made their best music then.alot of those bands are quite average and wouldnt have made it on the "alternative" scene in the 80s.tell me,do any of those compare to sonic youth, the smiths, public enemy, joy division, the beastie boys.im not saying theyre bad or anything, they dont come ANYWHERE near any of those bands.i was like you untill i realised most bands are fucking bland, talented, but bland.

  • @ManilaSyndicate well fix those cows...better sour cream will pick up that qualiy of dipness

  • @ManilaSyndicate im 15 and i know

  • @ManilaSyndicate maybe some, but you can't say that as a whole. that's a huge generalization, like saying that every 80's band was exactly like a flock of seagulls just because they had a popular song.

  • @ManilaSyndicate so true there is NO talent in music anymore if you can push buttons on a computer you can make it in the music industry now

  • @Willmont85 ENO..

  • @ManilaSyndicate Im not even 20 and I know it...

  • @ManilaSyndicate I'm under 20 i can figure that out.

  • @ManilaSyndicate I'll agree mainstream music has dipped a LOT over the course of the last two decades.

  • @theodaman420 the quality, that is

  • @ManilaSyndicate There's still a lot of great music out there, it's just the charts are filled with rubbish and you have to look harder for the good stuff.

  • @GarethFlatlands Nah. The fact that the charts are filled with crap is a sign of the lifeless state of music nowadays. Don't forget, "Every Little Thing She Does is Magic" was a mainstream hit back in '81. I have yet to come across a song nowadays that comes close to it.

  • @ManilaSyndicate I listen to a lot of alternative music which is still producing good stuff but agree the charts these days are awful in comparison and good pop music is in short supply. Minus the Bear get described by some as a modern day Police, give 'Pachuca Sunrise' or 'Drilling' a listen.

  • @GarethFlatlands Thanks, I'll check it out.

  • @ManilaSyndicate hell yeah it has! There's no thought behind music these days.

  • @ManilaSyndicate most music after 1999 is shit.

  • @ManilaSyndicate I wouldn't say that *Music* itself has dipped in quality, I would say that people's taste has disintegrated so that the music that is popular nowadays is rooooobish.

  • @FrayFan48 Nah, good music is good music and people in general will always recognize and listen to a good tune when they hear it. People who support current music are mostly teens who don't know any better. The fact that the decline in music sales coincided with the substandard fare that have been churned out since the start of the millennium is no surprise.

  • @ManilaSyndicate I wish I could go into the future and see what the music scene is like.

  • @FrayFan48 Same here.

  • @FrayFan48 Do you really want to? I cant imagine music getting any worse, i mean seriously. I thought "mainstream music is just noise" was only a common expression until i heard the awful mess that is Dubstep.

  • @ManilaSyndicate I'm 13 and I know it..

  • @ManilaSyndicate Opinions are great, aren't they? Except you realize there was just as much garbage music in the past as there is today. Except when we listen to the older songs, we throw away the trash, and cherry pick the great songs. There are just as many bands today making great music as there were back in the day.

  • @MegaCalvinHobbes no. not true.

  • @MegaCalvinHobbes name one.....?

  • @MrSpawnlord Radiohead, Muse, Foo Fighters, The Coral, and Franz Ferdinand, to name a few. And those were the ones off the top of my head, I could name plenty more.

  • @MegaCalvinHobbes

Nostalgia is a powerful emotion. Blinds people

  • @MrCeej9999 Nostalgia isn't always a bad thing either, only when people get blinded by it.
