PS- Panthers lease with the BankAtlantic Center lasts until 2030, so don't expect them to move anytime soon, especially since our attendance has been average over 10 years of making playoffs. Soon as we hit playoffs, our attendance is going nowhere but up.

Hockey does not work in Miami and Quebec City has ALL the intangibles to make the NHL work. Does it mean Florida will move to Quebec? No. Would it be nice? Yes. Nice vid. Personally, I'm a Hartford Whalers fan, so the past 14 seasons have felt like a bad dream... I have no doubt that if there is another team that packs up soon, they'll probably head for Quebec City. After that though, I hope the NHL comes back to Hartford... The Jets were reborn via the Thrashers, the Panthers should move to Quebec City... and then Phoenix moves to Hartford... all would feel right in the Hockey world again! haha.

Florida just hired Kevin Dineen, born in Quebec City, as head coach and each of their past 3rd overall picks (Gudbranson from Orleans, Huburdeau from St-Jerome) both speak fluent French, it's too perfect haha. Thing is Quebec can sort of sustain a team at the colisee until they get their new rink in 2015. Does Hartford have a suitable, even temporary rink for now? I wanna hear the Brass Bonanza again :'(

@LeafsFanInOttawa Don''t forget, Kevin Dineen was the Whalers Captain too! (I have his jersey hanging in my closet haha). To be honest, there will probably need to be a new arena built in Hartford before the NHL comes back, although the XL center (Civic Center), where the Whalers used to call home, still stands today. It is also the home of Connecticut's AHL team, recently renamed the Connecticut Whale :D The spirit is alive, the fan base is here, at this point all we need is the arena.

@MTLbigJ Yeah I grew up with the Leafs but I have a feeling I'd really like the Nordiques if they were ever to come back. I'm not a bandwagoner or anything but I'm looking forward to the day Quebec City gets its team.

Can you use the Nordiques in franchise mode?

Or do you have to take Colorado and use the Nordiques jersey?

@MontrealExposForever You can use Colorado and use the old fleur-de-lys jersies, but everything else (ice decal etc.) will be Colorado stuff.

I created a mock-Nordiques team in Create a Team, then replaced Florida in Be-A-GM. The name "Nordiques" isnt available for some reason in create-a-team, but the logo is, so I just created a fantasy jersey (looks like the new Lightnight unis, who knew LOL), and called them the "Quebec Chiefs"...that's why I wrote "Nordiques" over the team bar for this.

Wow, that sucks ass. We used to be able to use the Nordiques a few years ago when I last played the game. I think I'll avoid EA Sports hockey games from now on.

@MontrealExposForever In past games for the PC you could put the real Nordiques in because you can edit anything for PC, but they only make the game for PS3 and 360 now, so options are somewhat limited.

Hopefully in 2 years time, the Panthers pack it up and move to Quebec City. I'd cheer for the Nordiques and Leafs equally if that happened, I have a feeling it might happen too!

Sounds like lazy programming from EA Sports. Can you use created teams in franchise mode at least? How about replacing an existing team in franchise mode with a CHL team?

I apologize for the many questions, but debating getting back into hockey games but I don’t want to waste my money.

@MontrealExposForever Yeah for sure man they have Be-a-GM mode, can use created teams and I'm in Season 8 with the mock-Nordiques (I won the cup two games after this video)

You cant replace CHL teams in Be-A-GM, just season mode for now, it's still an awesome adition but they have a lot of work to do on the CHL teams.

It's all good man, I personally love NHL 11 and may not get 12. 11, if you use sliders, play on hardcore and try and play realistically, it can feel like real hockey at times.

@MontrealExposForever You can also put all European teams into Be-A-GM, but it looks kinda fucking stupid having a bunch of Euro teams fighting for the Stanley Cup...
