  • daaaaamn..... romans...

  • Nero for President.

  • poor octavia

  • Poppae had Octavia's head brought to Nero on a platter as proof that she was dead!

  • ...Caligula is still the funniest and best....and actually Claudius was the bloodiest and drunkest....

  • nero was one sick puppy!

  • The boat devise to murder Aggripina is amusing as an idea, but the fact he killed his mother, despite the circumstances, is just just chilling. I would never do that, it is appalling. But in strange way I still like Nero.

  • @mike13lowe Well none of those have really been in that power so we dont know.

  • @CrazyChitTV No, Rome destroyed itself. They had gross financial issues and the straw that broke the camel's proverbial back was Rome's invasion and occupation of the middle east.

  • @CrazyChitTV There was much to hate about Rome and much to admire.

  • @NLR884evr

Woah, that sounds strikingly similar to how the United States falling behind.

  • @CrazyChitTV You're an idiot.

  • @yellowhelloable

I knight you for you're bravery of saying that

  • 8:10 he said bitchy O_o

    needs filtering rofl

  • Nero was a self indulgent murderous asshole

  • Nero had balls at least he was an athletical emperor.

  • @PanayotiProductions Had balls? He was a bullying coward. He had enough balls to kick his pregnant wife to death. Athletic? He was just a fat slob who won everything he entered because people dare not beat him for fear of punishment pr they wanted something out of him. On his tours of ancient greece during the olympic games, the greeks let him win every sporting event he entered. They did it because Nero would shower lavish gifts and major tax concessions upon then on his victories.

  • @yellowhelloable some of that is true. but he competed in some competitions with masks (horse races, battles, sports) with a mask so no1 knew who he was. he wanted to win on his own merit.

  • so if royal blood runs in yr veins have people taste yr food first, stay off your moms pussy lips, refrain from madness and sexual orgies,,,,ah fuck it FUCK AND KILL E-V-E-R-Y-O-N-E

  • Nero was loved by much of the populace, but he didn't get the elite (and writers) on side.

I think we have a biased, overly negative depiction of the personality of Nero from the Roman historians.

  • By "love", you mean "fear"

  • What the hell was I thinking when I wrote that?! Nero was a madman lol

  • No you were right he was loved by much of the populace, those who he left alone, as was caligula.

  • By populace, I meant the Plebeians, who seemingly adored Nero's public 'displays' in theatre and charioteering, etc

    Cheers mate

  • @cpthurme Kind of agree dude. History is written by the wealthier classes and the Roman wealthy sure hated Nero. I would too if he forced my wife to have sex with slaves and anyone else who wanted her. ( Nero did this to the wives of senators and the wealthy at his dinner parties. A refusal meant death)

  • @cpthurme i believe this is due to christianity coming into great power after nero's reign, and the fact he persecuted christians when they were only a small following. i believe they made up a bunch of crap too but nero wasnt a nice guy sometimes i wont deny that.

  • Kind of Hollywood reporting that tells 1 % of the real story but thats ok I guess.
