Fuck these guy's were addicted to sabbath toni iommi shit so bad its unreal! !aH But that makes them even more real i think especially coming from late 70s early eighties?
I absolutely love this song. But I like System Of A Down. Of course I think it's debateable if SOAD is NuMetal or not. They have no hip hop influences.
One of the best WFG track for me. But Why, oh, why has Phil ripped us off with the new recording? It is so obviously not WFG. If he needed a new project he should have found a new name. I feel he is sponging off his partnership with Zeeb. unlike Ozzy in Sabbs Zeeb was A main writter. I Still think Phil's the best riff master ever.
Regarding the debate about Wg sounding like vintage Sabbath...
Yes. We already knew that WG sounded like Master Of Reality (on steroids).
You need to remember that back in 1980 or so, when WG first made the scene, the old Black Sabbath had disbanded and was no more. I think WG probably decided to pick up the torch that Sabbath had abandoned and run with it. Somebody had to... and these guys pulled it off beautifully.
SennMac... please try to keep those issues in mind.
Different situation with the sab's - Keep in mind Ozzy already had 8 albums under his belt and later went on to have a highly lucrative solo career. I actually enjoy all eras of Black Sabbath, baring with the fact that Iommi happens to be my favorite guitarist and every era has something nice to offer.
yea plus every band doesnt matter who u r ur first album will always sound like someone els music cuz that means u just havent found ur style yet like friends of hell the song music sounds nothing like sabbath it has influences but it sounds like wrfg
I never said it sucked. I said it was a rip-off of Black Sabbath. Since Sabbath is the best, then nothing that sounds exactly like them could possibly be bad, just lame. You're the one who took it personally. If you don't give a fuck, then you should keep your mouth shut just as much as I should. However, I'm allowed my opinion. It's called YouTube, not YourTube, kneegroid.

Metal Church, Diary of a Madman, taking Over, Animals, In the Shadows, Aqualung, Morbid Tales, Fly by Night...any old Judas Priest, old Saxon, old Metallica, old Death up to and including ITP, and any Iron Maiden up until and including Somewhere in Time, and Slayer up to and including Seasons in the Abyss, Welcome to Hell. And not to mention, anything from Black Sabbath. So is Sabbath still the only band I like?

Listen friends, I haven't even listened to any Witchfinder General besides this song, so I am not downing you're beloved band. This song, however, is a rip-off of Master of Reality. Period. And Aunt Jemima, here are some albums I listen to BESIDES Sabbath stuff: Angel Witch, Lightning to the Nations, Give em' Hell, Rainbow Rising, In Trance, The Dungeons are Calling, Fire Down Under, The Headless Children, City, Fighting, Arise, On Through the Night, Tales from the Thousand Lakes B.O.C.,

The riffs are good because it sounds EXACTLY like Into the Void, and the voice is similar to how Ozzy sings on Into the Void. Good lord, it's so close to identical it's insulting.
Shut the fuck up I like witchfinder general and your just a retard. Witchfinder General has influenced many Doom acts. This music is actually quite good, your just a cheap snob who is closed minded and only likes sabbath.
GO listen to ANGEL WITCH and FREE MAN then listen to INTO THE VOID. check out the bass playing, almost a complete cop out but still different and a completely differnet time signature 6/8 versus 4/4. Would you fault Angel Witch for using the same philosophy?
There is a difference between 'influence' and 'plagarism.' Sabbath influenced every metal band, but I don't hear most of them sounding 95% like them. And I'll stop bitching when you get on your knees and suck it.
Its not a rip off. its doom metal. Master of Reality is just the influence for doom metal and this music is actually quite enjoyable. So quit bitching and enjoy the music.
Yea man if you want me to upload any more Witchfinder General stuff just let me know. I also have a live version of this song which is so much heavier than this version.
Someone needs to tab this!!
