I love that you're lowering the center of gravity by putting the batteries so low. What I'm concerned about is that you're shifting the cg so far back, and adding so much weight. You're definitely going to need to do some work to the rear suspension (stiffer springs and heavier shocks, aka struts).
Quite likely. Most of the battery weight will be under the rear seat, which is actually pretty well placed between the wheels. We will have about 225 lbs of batteries in the spare tire area, which indeed is rather far aft.
We already have the sport suspension. But it is quite likely we will need some stiffer springs in the rear.
