no he tunes the first six strings up and uses 9 gauges then he keeps the 7th string tuned to B its not a hard concept to grasp there in drop B learn to play guitar then comment

you're right it's lo-hi B,F#,B,E,A,D,G,the thinnest string is an .08 or.085 actually,he uses like a .52 for the low B,the reason he keeps the 4th interval all the way from F# to G is because it makes his sweeps and scales easier because the patterns are symmetrical in this tuning check it out on paper,he has an added 4 notes on the lower register and 3 in the upper compared to a 6 string,not to mention it's easier action because of the light gauges,he's really like the Dimebag of this generation
