The question is, is this really a democracy? Being given a choice of 2 "major" parties to vote for? Labour have successfully steered this country out of recession, and have led the world in bank bail outs, being the first government to do so (other's followed in fear that investors would go to the UK for safety, so did the same), and this has been hailed by economists as effectively, the right choice.

It's a critical response to a man who will soon be sleepwalking into Number 10 because loads of people haven't looked at his policies properly and believe his spin. It is much easier (not to mention more of a knee-jerk reaction) to just go running to the opposition when the going gets tough, rather than recognise that the current government remains the lesser of two evils.

You are corrct in most of what you say,however you have made one error. You mention looking at his policies closely, however, he hasnt told any one about any policies. PR man in number ten. At least he will save the public purse on spin doctors, as he is one himself! Lets just hope the electorate has more sense than I think they have!

Now area of public services are going on strike. The mail service is starting it off .... others will follow. You say you're an adult and you remember how the Tories were? ..... well I'm an adult too and I remember the winter of discontent. The absolute "bringing to it's knees" of the UK done by the labour party.

"Vote for change" has been used over and over again. Can't believe they still use it.

Labour have been relatively right-wing - that's been the problem. The Tories will be even more so. If only Labour hadn't been emulating the Tories they might not have made the mistakes they made; problem was, back in the late 90s pretending to be Tory seemed to be the only way to get elected. With the people of the country actually being more left-wing now, the Tories are getting back by pretending to be the radical ones. This conflicts with their nasty nature though, which we can already see.
