@irishgodfatherchris Maybe your right, but you have to remember this happened two years before the state election and Mr Brumby and Mrs Morand mentioned this Abortion bill as an accomplishment, The DLP and Family FIrst targeted the MP who voted for this such as Janice Munt or Rob Hudson, some of the MP lost their seats including Mrs Morand.

@Ken00729 yes, this was a non-issue unless you were in seats where the Catholic or Orthodox Churches had an influence (I know it did in my seat and we nearly lost it as a result next time we'll get Fr. Dillon on our side).

These abortion laws are the most extreme in the Western World! You call people who care about innocent life being destroyed 'psychos'? Are you aware that now in Victoria late-term babies who survive abortion (and are capable of living) are cast aside to die without medical care? Please look up 'Partial Birth Abortion'! We allow it in Victoria, yet is is now banned in America!

The majority of the scientific community and scientific evidence- not unqualified religous groups, have defined what is a developed and undeveloped life.There is a difference between abortion after one day, one month, or 6 months- for a considerable part of the pregancy the foetus is considered to be part of the woman's body. I`m not too keen on most religious or political extremists but I wouldn`t advocate killing them!.. Abortion kills over 45,000,000 a year internationally..3 times the pop. of Oz. Abortionists are by far the biggest mass murderers in the world today. A mothers womb is by far the most dangerous place to be.
