hi SBB i have this vinyl.thanks for the wake up.the crickets did"I fought the law"in this time frame.to me it;s amazing they just never got recognized w/o buddy.maybe it took some of their heart when the plane took buddy?
@JiggyMonster98 What do you mean by that? Buddy Holly had his share of slow songs, the Crickets were always a well-rounded group. Look up their version of Peggy Sue Got Married.
Um...when I know this song, I was 19. Then I in love with this song. At age 37 I sang this song at faculty dinner & then my professor asked me "Who is your girl?". Thank you for up load. I've just learnt that this is the crickets's song.
Awesome, just awesome! Thanks so much for sharing. Haven't been able to hear this song over the radio for almost half a century. Can you believe this. No radio station bothers to play such a wonderful song for over 4 decades. How more negligent and ignorant they can be!
What a great song! I'm from Hong Kong. Actually, my second time heard about this , I think, this is the original. .... Of course, I came to know this song is Joe Junior from HOng Kong!
I like this song very much when I was young. The lyrics seems to say loving-words to your love-one. Now I still really enjoy it much. Thank you for posting !!!!
wow- great upload -- my old worn out 45 isn't quite as clean . Any hope of hearing " I'm not a bad guy ? 1962 I believe -- Ex DJ from Modesto,Ca here --
Some lyrics of Every Night Josephine I told Susie I could not go out with her Not go out with her oh no no not go out with her She got mad at me and made an awful scene But I got no time to paint the town Got no time to run around Just got time for Josephine Chorus E-very night Josephine, Every night Josephine She waits for my return and I must be true to her If I fail to take her out Josephine will put me out Josephine is so demanding of me....
Every Night Josephine was a bouncy catchy number and was a minor hit in the late 60s,early 70s ?
I believe the singer was American.
I'm Not Crying is a catchy number by Kai Warner (brother of James Last) Singers. It was another minor hit. They are a German Orchestra also singing in English.
BTW I'm listening from the far east or Asia.
Sigh....I sure hope to listen again to these before I die, lol. Thanks LaVerne37.
Some songs like this I thought I may never hear again, and I'm so glad there are great guys like you who has kept the recordings. Have you heard this song "Every Night Josephine",I forgot the singer? And also "I'm not crying" by Kai Warner singers fromalbum "Happy Together"? If you have, please post too.
Original version is always the best. Thanks for sharing.
