I like to think the point here is that CHRIST is the reason we celebrate Christmas. Its a good message, I don't think, in my opinion that the money is really the issue. I think the REAL issue is trying to get our country and fellow man back to GOD and doing what is right as GOD would wish.
Remember WHY we celebrate this day, it is because of CHRIST. Merry Christmas Everyone.
I support this approach to Christmas. I've been bitching about the waste of time, money, and effort that goes into shopping and stressing over how to be a well behaved consumer. I'm glad Christians are finally redefining what it means to celebrate Christmas. I'm behind this movement...all except the worship part, considering I'm an atheist and all that. Muaah ha ha!
I agree with their message. I've seen people spend so much on stuff I know they won't need.
Christmas IS about spending time with your family and all that fluffy family time jazz (like putting up x-mas tree, baking, cooking, etc.) And you know what, I think I might try it. There are people around the world who need things more than I do.
you heard right but the idea is wrong...a lie told by the left to get us to spend more. what would help us get out of the recession is less government.
Great typography, great music, great message, great graphics. ephipheos are tight.
Your failure to comprehend the message of this series of videos and Advent Conspiracy in general is astounding. Giving of one's self is not exclusive to Christianity; it's a human quality as much as gluttony and egotism are human qualities. Seek to understand this part of yourself better and you may find the rewards to be much greater than you have suggested.
Also, let me share your appreciation for F. Nietzsche's opinion by suggesting you use 'then' instead of 'than' in your first sentence.
If it represents what you say, then it can be easily proven, correct?
Unfortunately not. If you are as sensible as you think you are, show us. You say giving is a base of dependency, then why give us such a useless comment. I'm not even sure if it is respectfully right.
It's an ad, no more or less brainwashing than an ad for make-up or toys or Maccas. This is simply an ad to be more generous (in a kind of, "real" way) and to love others, including God. Can't be a bad thing...

while watching the ad I was thinking "this is a great initiative (even I'm atheist and a marketing student") ironic!

The video is a call to Christians to spend less and give more. Why would that offend you?

I'm all for wasting less money on Christmas and helping the world. But the religious stuff really wasn't necessary.

All of your philisophicol films are absolutely great. They speak to people and they really are impressive how it is all put together.
