My guess is that he imagined getting a career boost into mainstream TV if he toed the official line - he thought he could rise up to be the next pied piper if he changed his 9/11 repertoire to the authorized perspective. I think it's pretty easy to see what happened with Veitch, He was identified as an influential icon, but one who was far more interested in fun, fashion and attention than research or facts. Great dissection of Charlie's contradictory move.. He's starting to deal with absolutes and claiming things are mutually exclusive as you've mentioned.... I'm a 'truther', but I just accepted it as fact that the official story was BS after looking at all the facts from both sides, then I moved on with my life, I don't obsess... It is extremely easy to get to a person who's in too deep... they might've threatened his girl/home/life, either way the original 'real' Charlie will be missed :(

I saw SpiritualEntertainer's channel and he made a good point. "Charlie is usually more tactful/respectful of people, especially his listeners" (paraphrased) So why didn't do this with this disclosure. Rewatch his videos, he is kind hearted, even to the police.
