  • Reverse Robin Hood: steal from everyone to give to the few.

You own 100 patents! Wow, now you have 100 ideas you can use ..and only 5 million that you can't because others "own" them.

Software patents are unconstitutional. Please write to your elected officials. Tell them you want the ability to think freely and to create things freely from such thoughts.

Say no to Intellectual Ptheft, to the mandating that ideas become limited resources.

  • A key about sw is that, like music composition, math, etc, it can be created by almost anyone that studies or practices and you require low overhead costs in order to have success and contribute significantly to society (or to your family, business, or art).

Of course, given how broad sw patents are (the system rewards the first to file the broadest patent claims possible), even nongenius can write up something by themselves and end up violating many patents still in force.

  • Excellent. This is a great analogy (and speech) to have in the toolbox and argue before scrotus on way to having sw patents declared unconstitutional.

It's even better for rallying support among the citizenry.

Write to your elected officials if you want a future where you can create for fun and profit without burdensome prohibitions and restrictions on what you can independently create and share.
