that´s such a great video, great statements. and great hair by the way. I think struggling leads you away from yourself, expression brings you back into touch with yourself, your constructive power, so many people have to make art, using it as the filter you´re mentioning.
I agree. Isn't it funny, "the glamour of the struggling artist." I find it curious that something as healthy and healing as creative self expression ie. the artist, has, within the dominate culture, become an image of self destructtion/addiction and poverty...so the artist as a noncomformist is then destined for a life of suffering for pursuing freedom/health/balance...because when you find freedom you find truth...hmmm the "starving artist architype" sounds like a means of control.
