I like a ton of Corman productions, and he is in fact my fav director, but I didn't like this film much at all. The pace was so off and the script sucked. However, good creature effects and tits! I liked how the movie started too.

This isn't the thing that Dead Space is based on, but there's certainly some interesting parallels aside from the obvious. Dead Space seems to draw more influence from the Alien films and John Carpenter's 'The Thing' than anything.

If anybody wants to see this movie go to Stagevu.com & watch it for free. Okay i'll give this movie 4.5/10 It's a good average movie. There are hot chicks, Marc Singer is a great actor & the creature itself looks amazing for it's time. The bad things about the movie is the light, it's so bright that you'll get a headache. Me & my dad both got a headache watching this flick, so now you are warned!!

@S201300013 That series of games/animated movies/comics/etc. was likely inspired by various movies from the greatest era of sci-fi/horror (1979-1991), including but not limited to: Alien (1 & 2), The Thing, Leviathan, and Endless Descent. The character Maximilian Reinhardt was named after two characters from 'The Black Hole', a childhood fave of many Gen-Xers.
