ah^^ my very first anime. i saw this before cardcaptor sacura, pokemon, or any of the others! i always thought it was amazing, but never knew the name...saw it when i was 5, and thought mushra's name was mushreoom^^" whoops. ah well, i love this!

I love this anime. It's near impossible to find anywhere but on tv, but it is sooooo awesome(Still running on one of the cable Disney channels at 4am, FYI). I wish i knew where i could find this song...it is so great! For those who care, this video only shows the end of the first SEASON of Mushrambo/Shinzo. There's another one after this, and a rumored third one that never got a proper translation.

As I said before: I got the episodes from and old VHS I had laying around with a few recorded episodes.

I ripped the episodes to a DVD, and then burned them to MPG format to make this AMV.

But, lately, I was able to find a site that sells Shinzo on DVD.

Dont think so, i just read that they made a second season called "return to shinzo", not really sure, i was just looking up stuff about it and it said that on some site, also about the shinzo series being banned, apparently thats y its so hard to find episodes etc :s

You're correct, there was a season called "Return To Shinzo". And it's timeline was set a few years after the defeat of Lanancuras, with Sago and Kutal trying to find Mushra and revive Yakumo.

However, the series was solely made by Bandai without Toei's permission, and it was taken off air and banned.

Supposedly, the only country to get it outside Japan was Germany.

I'd like to point out the way that rumor contradicts itself : if Toei did not agree with it, then it could never have been aired in Japan in the first place.

I rememver Shinzo, in Mexico it was runned before Patlabor and Transformers Robots In Disguise (The three best of Fox Kids), now the change of FK into Jetix resulted in a ruined channel.
