  • @Reemii What's the point in going to a pub if you are not going to meet people. I don't know what bars you have in Toronto but here in the UK people / strangers generally talk to each other, especially outside in smoking areas.

  • Well, the guy is not wrong!

  • Forever Alone.

  • I would have said yes to being his friend...I poke my friends.. I just wouldn't be okay with him writing on my walls.. and that is because we rent.. However.. The following for Twitter would have probably been weird.

  • I would have said yes to being his friend...

  • Great video! (and just love that he's @ Seven Dials etc :)

  • who is he? i'm in love!

  • FUN TASTIC !!

  • makes me sad that i have lol.. but whtever some of us use it for a different purpose lol

  • finally the right point of view!

    love it.

  • i noticed a lot of asians

  • @redzabes Got the twitter of the girl?

  • @Legendaryknight2 Very creepy.

  • @theendingnote your creepier for judging people you arrogant twat

  • @ssj3g0tenks My arrogant what? Touch a nerve did I, creeper? What other conclusion could one possibly draw from a creeper writing a creeper message? Creeper.

  • Brilliant.

  • saying "realize how odd your online life is", is like saying "realize how odd your life is in that moment when shit is dropping off from ur ass, while you sit on toilet"... it is not "odd".. it is "how ur life is 'in toilet' ".. so, whatever u call "odd" about online, virtual life; is actually normal, because it is how it is... you are making a huge mistake, comparing different parts of life.. more example? "u love ur wife? u love ur daughter? why dont u fuck ur daughter? after all, it is love."

  • that's the point.. it's weird that some ppl call it a life that they go online.. it is not a lifestyle it's a hobby but people call it life cause everything they do they have to post it or brag about it even though ppl other than your friends don't care

  • All the girls are hot! Nice pick mate!

  • "What's your name on Twitter? Ok, i'm going to follow you, cheers." *Creeper stare. Turns and walks*

  • This is genius

  • stupid wordplay. people don't add random strangers. and following people on twitter based on common interests is a good thing whereas stalking someone is something very different.

  • useless

  • So true!

  • This is brilliant! And funny at the same time..

  • It is an odd coincidence that I liked this video? And by liked I mean clicked the like button to save it in my Likes folder?

  • Hilalrious. I think I'm gonna fly to London for the premiere:). The guy looks a bit like Robbi Williams. The accent cracks me up (as Germans we mostly watch US-movies except films with Hugh Grant). Wickedly witty idea for an opera.

  • +1

  • Telling people you like things is something people do every day. And when you make a friend request on Facebook, it's done in the social context of Facebook, same as with meeting someone at a bar - it's not unusual for people to just come up to you and start chatting; it's expected and part of the norms of that particular situation.

  • Anything taken literally or out of context can seem odd. When you "follow" someone on Twitter, you're following a conversation, not where they are and what they're doing at all times (or did the interviewer stipulate "can I follow you physically while you walk about?"). When you poke a friend it's synonymous with nudging them when they've been silent too long...which many friends actually do.

  • @torontocitylife thank you. this video is the stupidest thing i have seen to be honest.

  • @joshmcdarris Bullshit. People you know, yeah.. their name and that's it. In real life you probably don't say "Hi" to them!

  • facebook do NOT represent the real life, but very funny, I see your point :)

  • This is hilarious!

  • brilliant

  • MORE

  • This is great! I fucking hate Facebook, Twitter etc.

  • rofl.

  • @joshmcdarris well i always ask nice girls ))

  • I love this. I did sort of have to put my hands over my eyes when he was following the girl in green though. Good work.

  • Dat accent.

  • OMG I VIRTUALLY SH/T MY PANTS :D

  • @joshmcdarris you're weird. thumbs down for creepiness.

  • Twitter is slightly misrepresented, I think. He should have stood there, and tracked her via GPS then appear there every 15min.

  • but he's supposed to 'follow' them not stalk her

  • It's hard to compare virtual world and real world because the language is different and, well, a chasm separates them!

Still, I liked the video and I think it raises an interesting and relevant discussion. :)

  • Imagine if the "COD: Black Oops" is really happen to the real life... o.O

  • I call that: Borat behavior :P

  • this is FUN to watch !!!!!!!!!!!!

But I only keep to the friends i know in real life. i think it's socially a lot better to do :)

  • lol

  • can I poke you? lol:)

  • So true,just cynical !

  • Really funny at the same time, an eye opener. I never realized how this generation is being dominated by social networking. Whatever happened to the good ol' days where we actually made friends personally?

  • Best thing I've watched all day. Eye opening humour. Nicely done, nicely done.

  • you are the best!!!! this is the real life!!!

  • English humor is very tricky & awkward... and basically involves you not laughing throughout the whole sketch.

  • I think most people will agree It's more interesting and intellectual than American comedy.

  • @Mattelliott1234 Yes it is but surely laughter is part of the game, a tiny bit? I didn't like ur version of The Office but i did get a few giggles but was overwhelmingly depressed.

  • @PhantomAct The Office was one of the best comedies i've ever seen, British comedy tends to be more subtle than you're average 'HAHAH I FELL OVER WHILST HOLDING A TRAY OF CHIPS OH JAMAL U SO ST00PID' I like a few American stand ups and comedy movies, but for the most part its quite childish

Oh and as for this being not funny, yeah it's not that great, it's mainly trying to get a message across about facebook, and it's not like the guys a well know comedian or proffesional or anything. ! =]

  • @Mattelliott1234 Call it whatever u want. but The Office UK was depressing (for me). As for standups, maybe i should remind u that u guys produced Michael Mcintyre. The biggest unfunny dosshbag clown i've seen on British TV. But i like Sean Lock, Jason Manford and Stephen K Amos. Your "Now Show" crew can be very American humor at times, hmm!

  • You can download full Album (Nico Muhly - I Drink The Air Before Me) in my blog "O Cantinho do Mestre" :)))))))

  • Awww yeah Nico Muhly.

  • what a loser. Jesus!

  • What an anima;

  • lol can i be your freind

  • stalker

  • I am totally doing this at school!

  • @joshmcdarris can I be ur friend? hehe

  • LIKE

  • Funny video. I hardly ever use lol because I think it is quite overused. But lol.

  • In my opinion, different reactions toward online friends and offline (real-life) friends somehow display the affected face of online community. And then, I'm glad at myself for setting privacy filter on my facebook friend list >:]

  • This reveals the sad "reality" of internet identities. They are superficial.

I'm surprised he didn't get sued for harassment.

  • @05you2

To win a lawsuit you have to have damages. Exactly what "damages" do you think he provided for a civil prosecution?

You're an example of people who are so visceral and knee-jerked in their reactions that they clog up the court systems with their litigious behavior because someone said to them: "Have a nice day!"

And I can see you retorting: "Who the hell are you to tell me what kind of day to have!"

So, in keeping with the situation: "Have a Nice Day!"

    (so sue me)

  • @HSOUIXZ I'm sorry that you were offended by my observation based speculation on human behavior. I did not anticipate anyone taking offense at my lighthearted observation that there are, as you aptly noted, Americans who are easily angered and offended by strangers who are (for lack of better words) extremely "forward and creepy." However, I personally never said that I was such a person.

As for you, you seem to have a lot of pent up anger.

I hope that your situation changes for the better.

  • @05you2

    Brilliant! Just brilliant!

And I took the time to say; "Have a nice day," to you;...and you didn't even have the curtsey to say "Have a nice day,"... to me in return!

Why, not even a "How'd ya do?" ..or even a care or a query about my day or how my day went .Isn't that just lovely? Well, I never......next time I'll just poke ya instead!

    POKE!

    Ha!

  • @HSOUIXZ

Sorry, I ran out of characters.

I hope you have a nice day too.

Also, you're right. I looked up the legal requirements of harassment and these actions would not hold up as just cause in a US court. Thanks, I now know something new.

  • @05you2

    Yah!!!!

    Poke!!! Poke!!! Poke!!!

    Ha!

Good deal. So "How's it going?"

I'm glad we were both able to gain something form our exchange.

    Poke! Poke! Poke!

    Well, hey buddy..."Have nice day!"
