  • how does this work? Like I'm going this year, and is it like they pick the top 10 to go to the first round?

  • No everyone is in the first round. Comps r fun!

  • unless u mean something else

  • yeah like i know that part, but if i solve it around 21, could i make it? im practicing like crazy and just got 2 sub 20's. ty for answering btw

  • its possible but there will be a lot of people at the us nationals so im sure there will be alot of fast people better than that. so idk but there is a chance

  • So you're petrus? Or at least color neutral...

  • just color neutral

  • what type of diy do you use

  • Rubik's

  • rubiks 25 anniversay cube

  • did you have to bring your own stackmat timer? lol

  • Hey thrawst, Question... Do you use your own cubes at competitions like that?

  • yeah you have to

  • ya u have to use ur own

  • Thrawst, can you tell me the rules about the qualifation and everything of the tournaments please? I might start doing some of the comps, but my mom wants to know the rules.

  • dude not hard to figure out

    look up world cubing association

  • yays

  • why does everyone keep asking "Thrawst, how do you make your cube so fast?" LUBRICATE IT! END OF STORY!

  • wat did u do to ur cube to make it so good besides lubing it?

  • actually nothing else but if his cubeis an DIY cube theres a screw inside the middle colors and he loosens it and he uses finger tricks

  • in his other video he said it wasnt a DIY it was a rubik's 25th aniversary cube

  • was the cube from wallgreens? plese reply

  • originally i think it was, yes.

  • i have a question u get to choose whihc cube you can use at a competition?

  • was that the 25th anniversary cube?

  • yeah all of you guys can do that like thrawst your all great d best^^

  • by any chance are you color neutral?

  • yeah he is

  • if the seconds where minutes I would be about as fast

but I started learning it this morning

  • My 12.05 put me at Top Qualifier. =]

  • thrawst is a great cuber but whens he gunna get sub15

  • good question.

  • thank you for the reply thrawst

  • unlucky mate :(

  • So close!!! XD

  • you have a good cubing style

  • theres one in cincinati on the 16th of august :P

  • man I wanted to go so badly... that was the one at ATL right? I was going to go but my mom said band camp was more important than rubik's cubes..

  • one time...at band camp...LOL, im jk man. but the movie is funny, you gotta admit.(i was in band to, so im not dissing you)

  • Man you can always tell even if ur just looking at the hands and not the face that its thrawst he has the coolest hand moves and hes the only 1 the dose UP with his hole hand sometimes lol. good solves though.

  • where can u find out where to go to competitions for cubing.... cube competitions?????? I REALLY WANT TO BE IN ONE!

  • WCA.. search "world cubing association" and go to events page on there.. the next one in USA in sometime next year i think...

  • You did better than I did, Tristan.

  • what's a really good brand of rubiks cube?

  • Diy off of cube4you.c om or eastheen off of ccube4you as well

  • if you want 3x3's go DIY. if you want any other dimensions do with eastsheen.

  • thanks... do i have to order it online or something?

  • you're all wrong, it's a Rubik's 25th Anniversary Cube.

  • how did you get it so loose, besisded lubbing it?

  • Sand the cube. Other than that there's nothing more you can do to a store bought cube. But if both of them are done properly, you can get it to turn pretty well.

  • so its a store bought cube?

  • yes. DIYs don't always live up to their name.

  • what did you do to make it fast, im trying to get faster my best time is 34 seconds

  • so close

  • I didn't qualify for first round either, I got an 18 not a 17. Good job anyways!

  • to bad you didnt qualify:(

  • I was looking at the results, seems like there were many very good cubers at the nationals. Nice solves anyway.

  • what was the qualifying time?

  • you awesome

  • your cube always looks like it's ready to fall apart and/or pop!!!

    so cool

  • damn close.

  • ouch :(((

  • aw :(

  • can you use your own cubess in ternaments

  • i thought qualifying was 18sec.

  • yeah the qualifying round was ridiculous....a 16.90 solve got me 1 place from qualifying by like 15 hundredths of a second....kinda irritating

  • nice sub 20s and a mess up on that last PLL :(( good job though tristan! i saw lucas judging you on that first solve :P

  • nice solves! ur getting faster

  • did you compete at the rubiks clock as well?

  • i cant seem to get color neutrality down

  • i used to have problems with it, but all you have to do is to start on a different side than you usually do and solve it just slow enough so that you never stop turning. very soon you'll be able to start on any side you want and still have about the same times. (I'm still having a little trouble with the red/orange side.) If you want, it's easier to start off with the color opposite your normal one.

  • wat's with color???

  • thanks

  • good job anyways

  • dang barely made sub 20 on the second solve

  • Nice solves and Vid :)

  • i wish i could do that... keep on cubing!

  • I must be honest, I'm jealous of your color neutrality. haha

  • Ouch..

  • good job dude your getting faster

  • no one gives that your the first to view even if you did

  • thrawst is a beast
