Yeah, that's about what should happen if you bounce off of the rev limiter for 30 seconds and the engine is possibly oil starved because of the constant side loads doing donuts.
Has nothing to do with make or model, many other vehicles would do this as well.

I own a 2011 2.0T Sonata SE... it has the SAME BLOCK, different internals, Same turbo as the Evo X as well but the ECU tunning and internal differences make it run differently and more for ocassional sport driving rather than full out sport. The 2013 Genesis 2.0T has the same engine though, none of them prior to the 2013 model year did. The quality is getting better every model year since 09. Hyundai has a international partnership for parts and tech one of them is mitsu.

The car was tracked and took a pounding everyday before I sold it. It lasted those six years of abuse and it'll last several more years in the hands of good owner

dude my friend has a hyundai and they are built extremely well. Hyundai is number 2 in the best cars to buy for 2012. (chevy is #1) Hyundai has moved up in the quality of their cars in the past 6 years. They have a new ceo and there is a new designer and builders. Any car can have that happen. If his car is younger than 1 year then the engine is still conditioning. I had to wait till i was able to drive my car hard. These cars a amazing and now their 2013 model has more hp than most v6s. The 2013 Genesis 2.0T has the same engine though, none of them prior to the 2013 model year did. The quality is getting better every model year since 09. Hyundai has a international partnership for parts and tech one of them is mitsu.

Had an 04 STi and redlined it the day I drove it off the lot. The car was abused heavily and I was even late on a few oil changes. Fast forward 80k miles and the motor still ran smooth. The car was tracked and took a pounding everyday before I sold it. It lasted those six years of abuse and it'll last several more years in the hands of good owner

dude my friend has a hyundai and they are built extremely well. Hyundai is number 2 in the best cars to buy for 2012. (chevy is #1) Hyundai has moved up in the quality of their cars in the past 6 years. They have a new ceo and there is a new designer and builders. Any car can have that happen. If his car is younger than 1 year then the engine is still conditioning. I had to wait till i was able to drive my car hard. These cars a amazing and now their 2013 model has more hp than most v6s.
