I am a black-haired Asian and dyed my hair pure white. I maintain the whiteness with a purple shampoo and conditiioner to keep out the yellowness. I use Phyto Phytargent Shampoo, Joico Violet conditioner and Kerastase har mask mix with Peter Coppola Violet Shimmer conditioner. My hair is really healthy with grat white gloss.

@dannys2222 its not "over bleached" its called a toner. bleach would not get it that colour at all, hers look actually quite vibrant and shiny. I think it looks awsome. blond hair is preppy, especially golden, yuck.

@Dylan1428 Hi there. I recommend a toner by Special Effects. It is just called 'toner' and is purple. You could also try a toner called Virgin Snow by Manic Panic. You will then need a toning shampoo. I talk about the toning shampoo in one of my videos - follow the link at the beginning of this video.
oh,..that is so me...I bleach my roots and iron it flat because i have frizzy wavy hair and it does do a number on my hair. I was wondering what kind of conditioner did u use to repair your hair? anything great you can recomend? @georgie23 I can't imagine not being platinum now :D As for the damage when my hair was really bad I used Pantene's Repair and Protect range of conditioners and I really felt it made a difference! I don't really use a particular conditioner now for the damage, I mainly just use on for the curly hair. Also I used Tigi Bedhead Chocolate Head Intensive Conditioner which my salon sold me. It's like a liquidy shampoo texture but you apply it to damp hair and that was amazing and smelt yummy :}

@mariii2o13 My hair generally goes grey when I use too much of the purple shampoo so I would advise not too use that too much (if you use it) and then also next time not to use so much of the toner. Just shampoo it with normal shampoo and the grey should start to fade out. The toner I recommend is a semi-permanent one by Special Effects. Hope this helps!
@casagrandecats I use a purple toning shampoo which removes the yellow tones and keeps my hair looking white. But when I use too much/too frequent it makes myhair have a silvery tint (sometimes a bit purple even!). I know you can buy semi-permanent dyes which you put over pale hair and they specifically give a silver colour :)
@casagrandecats Yeah, I've overtoned it with the purple shampoo :) When I have my roots bleached, at the salon they put a toner on it except they time that so it doesn't go silvery. Sorry if it sounds confusing!

the total opposite happened to me..my hair is white like your but shorter.I have always dyed it myself but during this christmas i was asked to do a hair show and agreed(a wel establised hair salon)..they bleached my hair and damaged it soo bad that i was left bald!!!!no joke..i now only dye my hair by myself.just so be careful no matter where you go or who does it.

@Aisyface Oh gosh you poor thing. I'd been getting my hair cut at the same place for years and they've been doing my hair now for the last few years and it's always been fine. However, I was looking to going to another salon as they are a bit cheaper and closer to home but I decided that it's probably best to stick with who you know!

@lolageproductions Ah thanx! I've had brown hair before and I didn't really like it on me personally. I don't think I'd ever go dark colours again but I'll eventually go to a more natural blonde.

@Dylan1428 Hi there. I recommend a toner by Special Effects. It is just called 'toner' and is purple. You could also try a toner called Virgin Snow by Manic Panic. You will then need a toning shampoo. I talk about the toning shampoo in one of my videos - follow the link at the beginning of this video.

oh,..that is so me...I bleach my roots and iron it flat because i have frizzy wavy hair and it does do a number on my hair. I was wondering what kind of conditioner did u use to repair your hair? anything great you can recomend? I was just like u when i was a kid i would bleach and dye my hair every color in the rainbow but of course i stick with blonde because I love it. haha. I believe it has caught up with me though...my hair was breaking off at the tips and i am trying to repair it. Thanks.

@georgie23 I can't imagine not being platinum now :D As for the damage when my hair was really bad I used Pantene's Repair and Protect range of conditioners and I really felt it made a difference! I don't really use a particular conditioner now for the damage, I mainly just use on for the curly hair. Also I used Tigi Bedhead Chocolate Head Intensive Conditioner which my salon sold me. It's like a liquidy shampoo texture but you apply it to damp hair and that was amazing and smelt yummy :}

hey. well im going for the platinum color and i toned it when it was yellow with the white lady T18 and now its grayish whitish. what do you recommend? what did you do for the gray

@mariii2o13 My hair generally goes grey when I use too much of the purple shampoo so I would advise not too use that too much (if you use it) and then also next time not to use so much of the toner. Just shampoo it with normal shampoo and the grey should start to fade out. The toner I recommend is a semi-permanent one by Special Effects. Hope this helps!

@casagrandecats I use a purple toning shampoo which removes the yellow tones and keeps my hair looking white. But when I use too much/too frequent it makes myhair have a silvery tint (sometimes a bit purple even!). I know you can buy semi-permanent dyes which you put over pale hair and they specifically give a silver colour :)

@casagrandecats Yeah, I've overtoned it with the purple shampoo :) When I have my roots bleached, at the salon they put a toner on it except they time that so it doesn't go silvery. Sorry if it sounds confusing!
