This arrangement really is great: gloriously gutbucket, furiously swinging (but not at all busy), beautifully conceived to show everybody to their best advantage. Who's responsible? I was a bit surprised to discover it's Dick Hyman, a man justly celebrated for his eclectic, if not encyclopedic, keyboard artistry, but hardly at all for his writing, least of all for big band (though non-jazz-listeners might know him best as composer / musical director on numerous Woody Allen films).
always a favorite...........

Thanks for the posting... what a great recording and tune by two classics: The Mills Brothers and Count Basie.
