This year Athens had 125-ish people i cant remember, but we did a great job!

In the field show competition, we didn't place as well as we had hoped, but we won a special award from the parade that was chosen by the crowd. It basically just means that we had the best crowd reaction and best attitue/spirit overall! It was quite an honor!! The award also came with money...$2000 I think....but don't quote me on that!

Yeah, my band won that in 2005 too...thats really the best award you can ask for. But I think y'all are always cheated when you go there...like being in 1st place in 2006, but then being penalized down to 5th? weird stuff....But I think y'all are great.

Yeah...I definitely agree that we were cheated (and from what I hear we always are), but our band director is always reminding us to look on the bright side. No matter how biased the field judges are, the people say Athens is the best! So what school are you from?

Patrick County HS...were just a little band in Virginia lol. We only had 54 members that year...were up to 81 now, so at least were growin I guess....But we don't compete there anymore...
