  • nice video

  • Do you want Modern Warfare 3. Entor: goo.gl\iQBA4

  • Very nice video!

  • Creepy ......

  • Well the side of my atlas isnt Like this its right next to the side of my skull no big gap like this

  • theres metel inside us i no about iron in us wierd

  • @supermario268 WTF are you trying to say?

  • Nice animation but the music sucksss...

  • Neck pain?

  • while this skeleton is moving it's head without noticing i also move my head ._.

  • im in highschool and am looking to persue a career as a chiropractor. i am looking to get a little bit of a head start on anatomy and how systems work together if i get accepted into Palmer. are there any lessons that may help me further understand the spine?

  • @LightsOutMFKR Hey, what's going on with Palmer? That's an excellent school, and a very good choice!

  • what... no justin bieber

  • Sometimes i get neck pains and im 11 so will this be possible to kill me :( ? but usually my neck pain will stop then start again later

  • @TheSupardude it's probably to do with your posture; eg straining your neck whilst looking at the pc screen, carrying a heavy bag on only one shoulder etc

try and focus on relaxing these muscles, and also do a little research on "alexander technique"

this isn't going to kill you, but taking care of your spine is important, especially at your age.

    hope this helps!

  • loves it

  • For amateur animators like me, this video is Gold ! I was scratching my head on animating the spine for a character. This video cleared some doubts for me :)

  • THANK YOU :) ..

Amazing video and yeah, youtube could be VERY useful sometimes :)

  • awesome video!

  • very helpful and informative. thanks!

  • Wow that's awesome!

  • Wonderful presentation. Why 'cut away' the problem, when a Upper Cervical DC is trained to reposition the atlas and relieve the nerve interference without intrusive surgery? Science and anecdotal stories at upcspine com. Video at GetWellGetHealthy . UC DC speaking in Oct at Jerusalem conference of MD's seeking understanding of alternative therapies that works for their patients. Many MD's now refer FIRST to a UC DC .

  • very useful...thanks

  • thank u for a usefull video.... ( The music sat to it made it look kinda Akward) but i guess that's just me.. :)

  • I wrote that down

  • Your video is very helpful. Thanks so much!

  • Really cool

  • coool vid

  • The person that designs a graphic that shows the whole of human experience in any action will be my hero. Until then, these physical therapy interpretations are awesome.

  • maybe it could teach you how to spell?

  • I studied this over the summer with a neurosurgeon in Boston. Cool stuff.

  • scary o.O

  • thanks

  • Entre el atlas y el axis, existe disco intervertebral ????

  • No. Los discos intervertebrales comienzan a aparecer a partir de la 2da y 3era vertebra cervical.

  • No.

  • very good.

  • Ok, not too bad. Some audio to go along with the demonstration would be nice.

  • you are my teacher

    thank you very much

  • great!!!!its more easy to learn anatomy then study anatomy of books...thank you very much!!!

  • Great information, specially the heart attack, It hurst, and scary. Thanks for the videos. I can see all of them. I love to learn new things. Thanks again...

  • Not being schooled in this in any way, it looks very decent and educational

  • muy bien explicado

  • Wow educational, interesting and relaxing! Love the animation. Well done!

  • MAGNIFICO

  • watching this and moving my head with it is so relaxing.

  • The rootlets and dorsal root (sensory) ganglion not shown. Nor the other coverings (meninges), denticulate ligament (used as reference landmark in spinal rootlet surgery). The intervertebral foramen that lets out the nerve (where it can get compressed) is also 2 b elicited.

Good vid, with limitations, as it is meant 4 different audience.

    Thanx.

  • Take a closer look bud.

  • true say

  • great. It bothers me, so I understand it now, somewhat better.

  • But it's good anyhow. Gives a good perspective of dorsal and ventral roots.

  • so many matters around the spinal cord they didnt show..too bad

  • Thanks for posting. Nice to see the physical structure of what is bothering me.

  • thank You for the vids. They equal hours of boring reading.

  • you just cant appreciate the dynamics of this brilliant video.

  • I love the music. Its so inspiring. Helped me stay focused while learning the anatomy of the spine. Thank you very much.

  • the music is a beautiful touch.

  • MUCHISIMAS GRACIIIASS

  • I have been teaching the Alexander Technique for over 18 years. At last I've got an easy & direct way of showing my clients what is--or should be--going on at the top of their spines. Now they'll be able to understand more readily why they experience comfort so quickly. Thank you, animators, for this beautiful and comprehensible work. AlexTech teacher in Santa Fe NM/USA

  • I have a herniated disc in my C6 and C7. There's no doubt I need surgery, I'm just holding off as long as possible. I got into a car accident last November and have been in pain everyday since

  • are you sure there's "no doubt"? if is any doubt plz consider looking into movement reeducation (Alexander Technique, Feldenkrais) + pain management approaches including acupuncture, micro-current energy stimulation, etc. people rarely have only one spine surgery in their lives. best of luck. AlexTech teacher in Santa Fe NM/USA

  • I still have yet to try acupuncture. I'm going for round 3 of PT though later in the month. They do the TENS system on me. I get some relief with that. I also have a Saunders Traction unit at home. Not the over the door kind, the one where you lay down. Thank you for your concern and suggestions :)

    Pam

  • hello, I understand your problem because I also have herniated intervertebral disc C6 and C7 and I am trying to hold on without surgery because one my friend went through surgery and then he had reoperation and now he is preparing for new reoperation. I am from Czech Republic ( thats why my english is bad but I hope you will be able to understand) and doctors dont know any other alternative treatment than operation. I worked as profesional trainer and I was injured by masseur. Eva

  • does washing your hair bother it? That activity makes my arm go numb for like 3 hours after. What things make it really bad for you?

  • Hello, yes- I have problems with washing my hair because I can not fling back my head and I have very long hair. I am afraid of catching cold because sneezing makes it worse. I also have problem with sleeping at night - I am used to sleeping on side ( or hip) but now I cant sleep this way. If I sleep so Im not able to move my neck in the morning. I also cant carry heavy things. I have herniated disc C6/7 4,7mm and disc C4/5 2,6mm and disc C7/Th1 - 2,9mm. Im desperate because I cant work . eva

  • omgosh I know. Sneezing makes it bad. I find for me, laughing hurts really really bad. And yeah, the pain at night wakes me up from me sleeping the way I sleep. And I'm also a photographer and the weight of the camera around my neck messes it up and makes everything spasam :(

  • herniated c678 4 years ago becoz of poor sleeping habit* (high pillows).Month of extreme pain on my right arm and eventually lost muscles around that area.Pain was gone after taking steroids( prednisone) and therapy.Never played basketball again but wanna see my neurologist and ask sdvice coz i miss sports a lot nowadays.I read that surgery wont do the job because its gonna reccur after 3 years. Why remove the whole disc when its the fluid and the nerve it struck is the culprit?

  • Gentle chiropractic spinal adjustments and axial decompression therapy helps me help 550 pv/week.

  • try Upper cervical care. nuuca, blair, knee chest....

  • Great Computer Animation. Helpful in detecting the cause of cervical spondylosis and understandingthe complexity of the cervical vertebrae. Thanks.

  • what the hell are you talking about?. no it doesn't

  • Estes vídeos 3D são ótimos para apresentação de trabalhos.

  • Awesome!

  • where is vertebral artery

  • The vertebral arteries are located in the transverse processes of C6 to C1....

  • i never thought id learn something useful form youtube

  • @drackula96 this is were i learn all my useful information from, i can come on here and reinforce what im learning in college (science courses).

  • I'm pretty sure it is vivaldi but don't know that name

  • does anyone know what song this is?

  • subhanALLAH ... glory be to GOD the Fashioner , who fashioned us in such perfect balance and harmony that would always amaze us

  • The discs, I think.. Don't they cushion the vertebrea? Or however you spell it?

  • can someone please explain me the functions of the spinal cord hm I mean the processes from the gray and white substance and this stuff. ( afferent and efferent pathway)

  • Comment removed

  • conmadre!

  • really helpful n interactive indeed!!

  • Thx very much, i needed this.

  • maybe you can do the same but instead of using humans you can use animals, exist people that need it

  • Cool!

  • pelvis

  • thank you!!

  • nice

  • guacala de video

  • jajajaja

  • coooollll !!

  • Great job!!!

  • esta nice jaja xevere brither te pasastes pones very cosas good xD te gusta mi spanish ingles :D

  • what was the soundtrack used??????

  • nicee animation! some details about c1 c2 haha but love the animation!

  • Nicely done. Great work!

I used to do 3D modeling animation work in AutoCad. Alot of fun.

  • I love the music accompanying this lol. simply beautiful animation. I couldn't imagine modeling something like that.

  • it cant be that bad..its just a bunch of bones stacked up on top of one another with cusion disc inbetween..then u got the spinal canal and spinal cord that sits between the vertabrea bodies and the facet joints..and the spinal cord goes into the spinal canal and the spinal nerve roots come out of the sides of the spinal canal and go through the spaces at the side of each vertebra body supplying the nerve..different vertabrea nerves etc supply different parts of the body..c5 supplies shoulders

  • have you ever used 3d modeling/animation software? It's not easy lol. That was all I was referring to

  • I think it would be fun..with time..

    pce

  • ya 3d mods are difficult to use. So time time consuming as well.

  • why are you trying to sound so smart? LoL @ You

  • because I am so smart..to know what I know without any schooling is pretty good...

    godbless

    sean

  • Brilliant!

  • excelente video!! me gustaria poder bajarlo

  • andre andre, eepa eepa, andre

  • perfecto, buscando buscando he encontrado un video que toda la gente podemos disfrutarlo

  • Is it true that swimming strengthens and develops the intervertebral discs, Thus lengthening your spine?

  • No.

  • so is the intervertebral disc kinda like a cushion? anyway, great animation

  • I'd say more like a shock absorber, a structure that ingeniously transfers stress forces up and down the spinal linkage, and mechanism for proprioceptive control of refined and protective spinal movement.

    So, yeah...kinda like a cushion! :>]

  • duh

  • Someone asked, so I answered. Try not to be threatened by it, kid.

  • im sorry i just said duh...because i thought it was obvious...that the disc were cusions to the vertabrea and shock exsorbers...im sorry truth is ur a pretty smart guy not many people know what u said..godbless have a good day im sorry

im not threatended at all.......i love human anatomy..sure its scary but beautiful

    praise god

    pce

  • I would add spoken comments. In the rest it is great.

  • I actually did not watch a video on brain injury because it had spoken comments.

  • apuesto que movieron su cuello igual q yo

  • this is really informative, useful, thank you

  • I'm learning so many things with these videos!

  • Beautiful, but uniformative. Needs speech/text.

  • Beautiful. Love it. Interesting choice of music as well, although not 100 % provable, classicle music is said to have a positive effect on the mind, especially during the prosess of storing information in short and long term memory.

  • You always say "yes" before you say "no"!

  • Yes, I agree with the other people making good comments over this animation-presentation. There is no doubt that the two upper vertebrae, that is, the atlas and the axis undoubtedly is the basic of all biomechanical functioning of the entire spinal column. Therefore, it is very important that they are kept aligned. Excellent video, congratulations for posting it. It really is educating.

  • Since various vertebral bodies can be shaped differently from one person to the next, I don't like using the term 'aligned.' I think it's better to just say that you keep them optimally functioning and moving properly.

  • i wonder if you rotated your axis away from it's position... wouldn't you prefer it aligned?

  • There's no need touseterm aligned.jts of spine function to create mvnt, etc. If I have upper neck pain,I perform self mobs us'g Mulligan strap or canhave some1 mob my upper neck to allow proper mvnt &function.Based on epidemiologic studies, many radiographic anomalies R not associated w/pain,includ'g spina bifida occulta, single disc narrow'g;spondylosis, most facet jt abnormalities, sacralization of lumbar vertebra, lumbarization of sacral vertebra, hyperlordosis,Schmorl's nodes(However,a study

  • (CONTINUED FROM LAST POST)

by Frishman, Fidma &Azor found in their study that Spina Bifida occulta of S1 showed a higher incidence of posterior disc herniation, which increased w/age which can be explained by instability of base of L/S, (J Orthop Res 12:186-192, 1994).Where palpable mvmnt restrictions other anomalies R identified, impossible to state these R either cause of pt's present symptoms or R likely to cause symptoms in future."

  • Sensacional. Buena presentación de la biomecánica cervical.

  • do u know how can i dowwnload it? but i want it fre... xP

  • really really really really really good work...5 stars...really

  • Gracias por este video, ahora entiendo mejor las diferentes partes de las vertebras cervicales.

  • MUITOOOOOOOO LINDOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!

  • i think along with video explanation would be excellent i.e audio

  • it is good

  • Just amazing.. Loovee if your videos last foreveer.. and ever, i mean all these animations are very interesting...

    congrats from mexico

  • amazing!!!!!!!!!!!

  • wow I am really pleased to have seen this! I mean... WOW!

  • really nice, thank you. Googled "3-d spine" and this was in the top three.

  • awesome. PLEASE license this to medical schools- mine sure would be lucky to have this vid as a learning tool

  • cool

  • They don't show the DRG (Dorsal Root Ganglion) though, it's kinda crucial. Also, the first Vert. is Atlas, and the second is Axis. In between them lies the Dens (or Odontoid Process).

  • technically the dens is part of axis (It forms as the vertebral body for C1, but fuses to axis to become...the axis of rotation)

  • What an amazing medical animation. This video on Cervical Spine and Intervertabral Disc Anatomy is a great tool for demonstrating spinal anatomy and physiology. Your biology animations are outstanding, Nucleus Medical Art!

  • awesome clinical site for medical students and residents contains audio and video lectures

    account: 02demand

  • annulus fibrosus...hmmm...I feel so much smarter already :)) :P

    awesome vid. ;)

  • the music so cool as the animation...

  • genial!!

  • xD Im really glad us humans have backbones now that I think about it.

  • Nice 3D medical animation showing spinal function.

  • Once again- Outstanding examples of truly fine 3D animation work- way to go Nucleus Medical Art.

  • what's the song's name?

  • Wow. This is gorgeous. Your medical animation really shows the anatomy and function of the spine and how it moves. Discs, Nerve Roots. Lovely! 3D really takes the cake!

  • a beautiful medical animation, seeing it in 3d is really informative

  • Classical music and anatomy, great job Nucleus-

  • Excellent medical and scientific 3D animation of cervical spine and disc anatomy Nucleus Medical Art!

  • Great 3D animation of the anatomy.

  • Really nice 3d medical animation!

  • Great!

  • and when ur neck makes a sound ,.. can u show the graffic of that?:D

  • intervertebral disc is like a cushion that saves you when you dance your ass off

  • very nice, thank you.

  • there is a differnece between spinal roots and spinal nerves. roots become spinal nerves when they meet

  • thx alot .............

  • Really very fascinating..

    Keep it up..
