  • When I was 6 listening to this song I thought it was a waste. When I got old enough to know the joys and heartache of love, this became one of the greatest songs Queen (Deacon) ever wrote.

  • Could you give me the link for the very last picture in the video, please? :D <3

  • I always thought this song was written by John .

And Yes I was right .

No Member of Queen can top this Genius

  • Amazing.

  • In only 7 I will..uh....I don't know but because of that song,I'll be happy...

  • epic album

    epic song

  • one of my fav tracks

  • i'll wish be with freddie 7 days :(

  • i start likeing this song so pretty kinda like a young freddie and young deacon

  • Amazing.

  • Perfect song for this moment. I miss you!

  • Freddie's "Ooh, so sad" at the end breaks my heart... Love you forever Freddie, you are dearly missed :(

  • Ohh lovely!

  • in only seven days samara will call you

  • I wish he would be alive for just 7 days :(

  • What a genius way to tell a story!

  • Deacon.............The Silent Genius

  • @markyboy1704 i don't want to be arguementative. but silent????...his bass lines are evident and prominent in all queens work.....wouldnt be the same without that sound...but i knew what you meant.

  • @mrbarleymob sorry, couldn't remember my comment, but i was referring to Deacon not only as a bass player, but he wrote the music & words to this.

  • suck that, rebecca black!

  • DEACON rules! Great song, great singing, great gtr orchestration, great bassline too.

  • I love it that you can almost always recognize who wrote the song just by listening to it, they have such distinct styles yet they match each other perfectly!

  • "I never thought that this could happen to me" is a singing lesson in itself!

  • so cute song!

  • I have all of their albums and listened to them hundreds times without getting tired or boring.

  • In my opinion the best song John Deacon Wrote!!!!

  • @njstock Try Spread Your Wings.

  • @njstock

But I think the lyrics is very orrible..

  • ..one of the best slow songs from Queen.. simple, but terrific..

  • Deacon's songs are always great. A simple but nonetheless great song, beautifully sung by Freddie. The couple John/Deacon is stunning! And Freddie said once that he loved singing John's songs!

  • when i heard this song for the first time i said deacon....

  • How can you dislike this???

  • Great song.

  • This is one of the songs I bet George Michael practiced his voice on....there's clearly so much influence in his singing style he took from Freddie...There is no other....Freddie will always be the ABSOLUTE BEST voice in the Universe...and he was one of the Princes....Freddie....love you, miss you, will always sing with you!

  • Another charming song from Deacon.

  • this is timelessness.

  • all these commments are so dead on,a band like this puts to shame any music of today, all great to see and hear how much this band is loved and recoqnized as pure talent, thank you all for your great comments

  • Wow, as corny as it may sound 1:20 - 1:40 is so beautiful it brings a tear to my eye! That's what the power of music is supposed to do, and that is unfortunately lacking or to some people, completely absent from today's music......

  • imagine this song sung by george michael or mika and released for charity as a 2 track single with the original as the b side. I think it would sell pretty well!!!

  • so, there's one guy who dislike this.

I think that this is as sad as this song history ^^

  • @pianistmaster1 The "one guy" is probably Justin Bieber. Who else on Earth could it be??

  • John Deacon.....The overlooked, yet vital ingredient to Queen's great music. Great musician and songwriter, and this one is tune is no exception

  • this has got 2 be one of my faves, just love this track.....one amoungst many i just cant pick a fave.....x

  • Happy Birthday, John!

  • It´s soooo very hard to pick one song out of Queen´s many but this one realyy IS a masterpiece!! How could God have done this and taken Freddie away from us?

  • @v1i2o3 he did it so he could hear freddy sing

  • @Philosnav Agree completely...how selfish! We could have shared!

  • @v1i2o3

y'know though, if he HADN"T gotten AIDS, we wouldn't have such great songs as "These Are The Days of Our Lives", "I'm Going Slightly Mad", "I want it All", "The Show Must Go On" , "Mother Love" and so many more. Not to say Freddie getting AIDS was a good thing, but it had an impact on the music he played and made, and though he was facing death it made his songwriting more meaningful and deep. We should look at the great music he left behind, and celebrate his life through that music.

  • @TheSeaPeopleandMe Well, instead of the Innuendo album, we'd have another 20 - 40 years of Freddie's music. I would choose the latter, no question. I'm convinced he had SO much music left in him, his body was just unable to accommodate his brain (hence, his creativity/musical talent). =( R.I.P., Freddie.

  • @TheSeaPeopleandMe Well to be comlpletely honest he only wrote I'm going slightly mad outta that list..... But! Other great songs such as Don't try so hard wouldnt have been made!! Good point tho on the band making emotional songs that related to celebrating life!!

  • Jazz wonderful album. Thanks for sharing. So lovely!

  • Brian does an amazing job with his guitar mimicking organs... I heard dead on time before this song... Just in this 2 songs you can see how versatile all queen members were...

  • Sounds similar to George Michael's last christmas

  • @cherylwens

Now that you've pointed it out... but it should be the other way around - Last Christmas sounds similar to this, because this predates George Michael's Song by 6 years. And then, there is Can't Smile Withoiut You...

  • FREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEDIE! You are the best

  • @Marianaavalle Agreed! :D

  • Classic song really!!

Beautiful and i agree this is real music.

  • freddie's voice is beautiful here.

  • Love the guitar orchestra in this track. Each member was just totally intuitive of what to play to compliment what the others were playing to build a perfect song/overall production if that makes sense! They seemed to have a strong sense of what instrument/vocal sounds n styles should be put in n wot should be left out. And thus I submit my case for why Queen are ACE!!!!

  • this song is so beautiful that i didn't even doubt john wrote it :)

  • Love this song. Always wanted a holiday romance. Never did, but I always had hope as a teenager with this song in my mind. Still makes me smile.

  • Amazing song! Deacon was really inspired when he wrote this!

  • Awesome Rupert Holmes send-up.

  • 1:21-1:41...it's as if you can hear the feeling of someone's heart breaking...BREATH TAKING!!!

  • Amazing! King Mercury!

  • aww.

    amazing song

    and voice

    and band

  • We miss you so much Freddie...

  • yeah... just holiday atmosphere.. ^^ greetings for my lawyer from Lodz! ;-)

  • beautiful and so sad

    The best!!!!!!!!

  • lol...dudes ...i remember buying this when i was like 9 with my own pocket money...lol...took me forverer...but i kept on...lol..

  • Can you imagine a better voice for this song? Yeah, the track is lovely, but Freddie's nostalgic performance made it an addictive classic.

  • Indeed, his voice is unique. Queen is unique. =D

  • PERFECT description. This song is amazing.

  • thanks for puttin' this on utube

Queen jazz is my favorite of Queen

  • i love queen, and i love this song.....

  • This is so beautiful!

  • @rekoonsghjkl and this is so sweet, sweet!

  • I absolutely love Queen more than any other band on this earth. This is John's song? He doesn't get enough credit. He was the best songwriter in the group <3

  • I think maybe Freddie was in terms of the number of songs John wrote he had a higher percentage of hits to ones that weren't. I love John's work.

  • Love this track, takes me back to my childhood, magic

  • it's one more fantastic Queen song, the kind that gets stuck in your head, even if it's been along time since you've heard it. I love Queen, if you don't, then you just don't have good taste.

  • ONE OF MY FAVORITE QUEEN LP'S

  • does anyone else hear a slight resemlence to the last section of under pressure? this is a beautiful number by john.

  • QUEEN&FREDDY forever. Long life for british rock- wait for another album of Muse.

  • aww this is romantic- go john!

  • I always say Queen music should be used in schools music to teach many people how music should be and performed, this is real music.

  • it is ;) were singing queen in my music school^^

  • Really great,wonderful...!

  • @Piero1940 I love the concept of using Queen, and good music in general in schools as a teaching tool.

  • @chazmichael89 Yes we hope they will do that.

  • @Piero1940 They should teach real music in school and encourage this stuff more. Queen, The Beatles, Elvis, Sinatra, Dean Martin, make the students versatile but in real music areas.

  • @Piero1940 MOST EGGZACLY!!

  • OHHHHH MY GOD FREEDIE IS A ANGEL

  • queen is the best band of the history

  • Words and music by John Deacon Monday the start of my holiday Freedom for just one week Feels good to get away ooh Tuesday I saw her down on the beach I stood and watched a while And she looked and smiled at me Wednesday I didn't see her I hoped that she'd be back tomorrow And then on Thursday My luck had changed
