  • playstation 3d display is better

  • nice, but already outdated with the new LED RGB backlight on the XBR12 I'm waiting for that one

  • how would this work if i wanted to use aps3 would i plug everything in that media box and i will automatically work or to you need to do something else

  • I just got the Sony KDL-52XBR10 for 1799.99 at woodbury commons sony outlet wish me luck. They had 11 left for that price. Any updates from other xbr10 owners?

  • you sold your car for that TV right? (id call it Optimus Prime, but TV transformed :D)

  • Anybody have any videos or feedback about the XBR 11 and 12?

  • Does this tv have a game mode?btw good vid

  • Thx 4 question, Yes it has game mode that I have used with my PS3 and to be completely honest I really cant tell a difference. I'm not a big time gamer or anything, in fact, I only have 1 game 4 my PS3 (Uncharted). But from what I understand game mode does 3 things: 1) sharpens contrast among different shades of black 2) increases refresh rate 3) prevents burn-in. I truly cannot imagine needing any improvements upon the incredible picture. Even rapid action sequences & sports are flawless.

  • Is there any delay? Will there be any response time greater than instant with video games?

  • @alterbr33d Good question i'am curious as well

  • @alterbr33d Thx for the question: As far as delay can try to specify a little more directly? I mean, do you mean the cable signal coming from the cable provider from box to TV or do you mean, when gaming, giving commands with the controlled?

I can tell you that I have another SONY flat screen in the bedroom which is an older standard 720i, without a wireless receiver and when watching the same channel the programming is perfectly synced with one another.

  • The XBR10s were actually a bit of a black spot in Sony's XBR line-up. The XBR10s were actually only available for five months ish. AKA, it was an in-between model. The only TV that Sony has ever made that is truly awesome and blows away everything else on the market then and now is the XBR8.

The XBR9s were arguably the second best Sony TV ever made..right behind the XBR8. The new TVs are not amazing at all...they are great for Edge-Lit LEDs, but I am not a fan of Edge-Lit LEDs.

  • I have a 52XBR6 and its brilliant. Got it 1 year ago... best decision ever. You have a nice tv, u should definitely consider getting it calibrated for when you watch movies.

  • does the wireless streaming effect your internet speed much??

  • @LuNYMiK3Y Hey there! I assume you are asking if it effects a wireless internet connection, which I also have. the answer is no. The TV box broadcasts to the actual TV regardless of any internet connection. Also, my wireless router which uses wireless N (Some use, B, some G and very few use A) is a completely different technology than what the TV uses. Thank you for the question!

  • Okay, so is this the best one for Sony? If it is, how much does it cost?

  • @TheAhemahemahem you can probably get it for like $2400. There is no other TV that has a wireless screen out there.

@Zeabz You do not need direct line of site, out box is in the closet on an AV rack now and it works awesome.

  • @sangbangerz

XBR8 LED Local Dimming is crap compared to Samsung 8500 & LG LH95

And now you should shut up

  • @AronChoi Samsung is garbage dude. Sony's last forever.

  • I heard you needed direct line of sight for the box to work.

  • the xbr8 had leds too...they had triluminous leds and local dimming which are far superior in led technology...thats why all the samsung model are edge lit except for their cream of the crop 8500 series which is the best led tv on the market...and everyone knows a wired connection is way better than wireless...sure its nice to have wireless but i would choose picture quality over the wireless

  • Thanks for the subjective input...actually the wireless signal is a true 1080p and is indistinguishable from a wired connection. The PC Richards where I purchased had a wired a wireless connection side by side and they challenged people to guess which was which. This was with a blue ray version of Wall-E streaming, so when you say "everyone knows that wired is way better than wireless", check your facts first.

  • Forgot to mention the Samsung 8500 was a close 2nd for me but not having the wireless was huge & also, Samsung cannot play nice with Netflix which can stream unlimited videos to my TV without me having to pay anything in addition to my $8.99/month. It also just comes down to personal preference. I have been using SONY for a long time since they quality and longevity of their products has always been superior IMHO. I am sure that Samsung makes a great product too, but SONY is my main squeeze!

  • The 8500 in edge lit as well jerky.

  • dude great review!! dr j working it!!! nice shout out to the droid as well!

  • You should have bought the Samsung 8500. It is a better TV.

  • Samsung is always attacking SONY. It is sort of like how you always see Pepsi commercials attacking coke and Apple attacking PC and Mets fans always turning red when the yankees win. Samsung revenue = 170Billion not bad but simply a different order of magnitude than SONY 8 Trillion a year. Go fish!
