kevinmat, you act like this was the only show to ever get the boot... come on man, for every show that gets on the air, there are a dozen better shows not even getting shot. Perry is fine and all, but please... life will go on. I could come up with 100 shows better than a ripoff of 30 rock. Get real. It wasn't that smart. Well, for TV maybe, but they weren't exactly discovering fractals, were they? Busfield and whitford are funny, but not off the chart talents... sorry man.

Studio 60 is something entirely different to what we're used to seeing on tv, and other classic sitcom with a simple story and humor. This is really interesting, I would pay up to 100 dollars to watch every episode, if it continues on air. it's a shame that a good show is canceled when so many others that bores instead of making people laugh. it has class and smart humor but ironicly that's why it's canceled..

Just got two of my "smartest" friends into this show. One of them always wants to watch "just one more episode". The other got pissy the other day because I saw some episodes without waiting for him to catch up. I'm so proud of myself right now. Too bad I don't know anyone else with the smarts and taste (elitist? who? moi?) to really enjoy it.

The earlier episodes were funnier than the later ones. Still wish it hadn't tanked so quickly, comedy isn't everything.

S60 was a good show, very well written, and the chemistry between the cast was very good. But it is too serious and hard to get for most people (including me) so it's kinda hard to watch... I really miss it tho

to be honest, i don't think any of it is laugh-out-loud hysterically funny. i just think it's really cleverly written and very entertaining.

It's cleverly written. It's just when it TRIES to be funny ("The santa looks like it's saying Heil Hitler!" "You chopped the head off the test baby!!!") it's just sad.

You studio 60 fans never fail to sicken me with your inability to see that the show was simply no good. So what do you do? Do you blame Mr Sorkin for screwing up so many times that the show became a train wreck? No! It's everyone else's fault isn't it? I bought the dvd box set (Out of curiosity) and I've seen it all twice. I think i've done enough to be entitled to my opinion without you leaping in and abusing me. If you want a smart show then watch The Wire. It actually presents serious issues.

nbc said that it was cancelled because viewership went down because their average viewer couldn't understand it.

and you're right, religion, politics, and freedom of speech aren't serious issues.

They're serious issues alright. But when a issue like religion is handled between one balanced normal character and one wildly over the top character then it's not rasing an issue so much as ramming one viewpoint down someone's throat.

And again, if you want a show that raises serious, social issues that actually are presented so that it's up to the viewer to make up their own mind then watch The Wire.
