Yes if you cruise often ( have been doing this for 10 years now) you will see some of the same format ... just the way it is,,,I doubt they want to prepare new format every week ... but its the cruise director that makes any of it entertaining.

FREEDOM OF THE SEAS is the best ship on the ocean and RICHARD SPACEY is the best cruise director there is .... accept no imitations.

The thing I have noticed about Carnival Cruises is all the cruise directors say the same thing. I was just on the Splender and the cruise director there said this same thing. Same thing with the old story that i didn't hear this time with the guy with the towel on debarkation day...I heard that on like 3 cruises. So, when the cruise directors say the 10 wierdest things THEY have ever heard...it is really said on all the ships.

You have a point though, none of them get asked when the plane will land, which is strange seeing as they are on a boat which is practically the same as a plane. They are both filled with stupid people and a few to make snarky comments about the stupid people, and one guy to write down those snarky comments and post them on youtube pretending they are his own. yeah you get the some of the same quesions on the royal carribean although they did have some different ones like. do you chage the carpet in the lifts on all the floors? they had carpets with the day of the week in the lifts different everyday. there are some other good ones but i can't remember them the now.

He's a hack, the Cruise director is a hack. Every single C.D does those same jokes give or take one or two. Look up hack hack in the dictionary and it will show a C.D. or a magician doing snowstorm.

I had a mate who got asked by a passenger "where do the crew sleep?" and he thought it would be funny and said "Every night when you go to bed, two Hughey Helicopters airlift the crew off and bring them back before breakfast." Content with the answer the passenger left. Latter it was found out that front office recieved a complaint from a passenger that the noise from the Helicopters were keeping her awake.

These jokes never seem to get old for some reason, I think Cory Schidmt, and Dominka Zaremba told it the best. Dominka told the story of her mom going on a cruise and she asked her mom if she wanted an inside or outside cabin, and her mom took "outside" literally.
