oh great year too, most wins think was 9 or 10, maybe less. but with that he also had some more dnf's more than 3 i think, so with all that and considering he only lost by 30 or 40 points. but Terry also had a great year very consistent. i was only 12 but im from mexico, so watching a nascar race was rare if not impossible to happen, so ive only been searching for info cause nascar rules!

I agree with you on that, I just dont believe referencing the 96' season means anything, considering numerous factors during the year along with other drivers (particularly Petty & Earnhardt) who'd missed out as well in the past.

You must not see the same driver i do not from a tv perspective but at the track. Bristol 2007 spring race he was 40th in practice never got better at all they where terrible! Sunday rolled around the car wasnt alot better but he was running 24th to 30th most of the race then with 200 laps to go he drove that thing up there sideways off turn 2 every lap from then to the finish and finished 3rd o but jeff gordon is nothing special i guess people are stupid and bitch about shit they dont know.

When Richard Petty had his win less season, he came back to win the championship the next season! Lets hope Gordon can do this!
