  • Knock em down Tom!

  • All these stupid white trash! Just let Puerto Rico declare independence or just return Puerto Rico back to Spain!

  • Puerto Ricans keep voting no to statehood because they probably fear federal income tax. They only pay "state" or "commonwealth" tax. The salaries are atrocious and they can only keep their heads above water, so to speak. Otherwise, they would probably vote statehood. They cannot afford to pay federal income tax. I lived there for 6 years a while back and that was my reasoning for not voting for statehood. Otherwise, I would have. I love the U.S. (I was born in NY) and am very proud of it.

  • @BaileyMax103 Puerto Rico can always fight for the independence.

Also, don't forget that Spain is now a democratic country. So returning back to the arms of Spain is not really a bad idea.

At least 70% of Puerto Ricans are Spanish.

  • lol. Puerto Rico becoming the 51st state is like really good chicken soup in the winter when you are sick (Puerto Rico) accompanied by really old stale beer with no flavor whatsoever (US) Trust me, this is never gonna happen. If it does, it just won't work. The US wants to keep us b/c we are in a strategic location in the caribbean and b/c, let's face it PR has always been and will always be the US guinea pigs, Anybody ever heard of Dr. kill, anybody know how birth control began? etc, blah blah.

  • @congaddict but they just don't want to pay the costs of having a state that would be the poorest in the US.

  • @congaddict Well, most Puerto Ricans (at least 70%) are Spanish.

What do you guys think about Spain?????????? It is a democratic country now.

  • independence all the way, it's not that bad. fear has been instilled in the rican psyche for a long time so as to keep people a colony, self subsistence is achievable. not easy, but it is there.

  • @congaddict I'm sure someone said the same thing about Hawaii.

  • Thank you, Senator, for telling the TRUTH!!!! If Puerto Rico's Represenatives, craft a Bill such as THAT, it begs the question. Do we, as U.S. citizens, welcome THIS disgraceful: disfunctional and mangled concept of OUR democracy, to BECOME fellow American citizens? In short, HELL NO!!!!!

  • The States themselves have so little power left now with the Barry Soetoro/UN/NWO while our economy is destroyed by the all powerful JPMorgan Chase GoldmanSachs-Treasury-Fed Reserve Top Job three-step, why would a beautiful place want to be under that? We have no moral right to be there, or in any of the places we have invaded for war profiteers...We have Fascism here why export it?

  • @swifturtle12 I think Puerto Rico should just declare independence or return back to Spain.

Puerto Rico being a state of the US is never going to work out for anyone.

  • @ttiiyy WTF are you smoking!? Puerto Ricans have died for the USA, may I remind you the Spanish treated the people of the Island like shit. damn near like Slaves.

go get educated. may I also remind you that the Indepedent people are mostly Communist backed.

  • @Dogmeat1950 Some PR's have expressed different views than you do. They claim that many PR's do have Spanish blood, and they're different from Mexicans. As a matter of fact, these pro-independence PR's are PROUD of the Spanish culture of PR.

You're the moron that needs some more education!

  • @ttiiyy also the Independent people have always been in the Minority, Commenwealth is the Majority

  • @ttiiyy Funny cause I'm Puerto Rican..by the way Puerto Ricans are Native to the Island

  • puerto ricans are very crass people who speak very lousy english and utterly terrible spanish. they're all on welfare and live on section 8 housing. personally I would rather see them go their own way.

  • @venomjuicy That's funny... that's exacly what I think of your country and it's people. Thank God you're just a looser and nobody of any importance.

  • Please everyone; before judging everything on the litle you know. Ask yourselves. Why doesn't the U.S.A. leave PR? A country nobody invited to, cost american lives to invade and have killed and continue to kill THOUSANDS of Puertoricans just to keep it. Before saying it's "charity" or what ever, ask yourselves. Don't fool yourselves or Puertoricans. U.S.A gets WAAAYYY more out of it

  • DAMM the Puerto Ricans are playing around with the USA. They dont want to be part of the USA but they still want to be US citizens and get all the benefits that the US has???

  • 51 states?........

i dont know...US flag hav been the most recognized flag in the world and one of the most meaningful

51 states seems a little weird but thats just my opinion

  • Puerto Ricans understand that becoming a State entitles them to share in the United States impending bankruptcy. Until our Nation gets its collective act together, Puerto Rico and every other country in the world will question whether the timing is not very poor.

  • Don't forget everybody - Puerto Rico celebrates "Dependence Day" on July 4th! Hahahaha!

  • There isn't bitter divisions in Puerto Rico. The island is indecisive with everything. From what restaurant to eat to what to vote for. They are afraid to become a state because they feel it makes them "less puerto rican" (which is just stupid nationalism that only hurts them) OR they are afraid voting to be independent means instantly securing their place as a 3rd world country. They just need to drop their stupid nationalism along with every other country. Be humanistic.

  • Why would the people of Puerto Rico not want to become a state is what I do not understand.

  • @MoonIMover; Puerto Rico was and is a conservative driven society. Puertoricans where and are extremely proud of their spanish heritage and consider themselves LATIN'american in every way shape and form. When the U.S. invaded PR in the Spanish-American war, the U.S. actually failed and in some places couldn't even get to the beach safely. PR was sold to the U.S. after the war. Nationalist where always the strongest untill 1960 when comunist fear spread in the caribbean. But without comunism....

  • lol wtf is subverting

  • @NBGNolanGutierrez Stealthfully messing something up from the inside.
