I hadn't seen this before. We almost did this one tonight, but it needed work. You really need to tell the story when you're singing this song and I cant really do that yet, but you were able to spin a yarn nicely.
Don't tempt me! If only I could find an arrangement of "Town with No Cheer"...
Grrr.. stupid interwebs. Nine thousand Web sites dedicated to making soap, eleventybillion sites on how to catelog beanie babies, no bloody decent Waits collection.
I aspire to be as good as you someday! This was great! I dont know if you've heard of the band Ednaswap, but they wrote that Natalie Umbruglia song "Torn" from the Nineties. They never made it big, but they recorded 20 or so different versions of that song trying to make it work. Slow, Fast, Power Ballad, Funk. This could be your "Ednaswap" song. I have mine too. Great job.
that's cool!
send me a tape....

Great vocals! And that Fluke sounds so good it makes me think I might need to add one to the collection.

Thanks!
I think everyone should have at least one Fluke, it's a surprisingly tonal and playable little uke. Loud as heck too.

Way too kind amigo -
This song has been following me for a while now and every time I do it it seems to come out different. Keeps me guessing.

Thanks Ken - I was afraid it would come across as some odd Waits impression, rather than my own take. Glad you liked it.

A cool choice of song and one that suits your voice well! I like the right hand slap style too... Rob.

I can't break myself of my nasty palm mute habits from the guitar. I think I have to work on some more open/tradtional strum styles.

Holy crap that was cool!
