  • brilliant videos. thanks for taking the time to do these "tutorials", they realy are excellent. keep doing them!

  • This is how most music programs, music notes, tabs, ect works, this explanation is useless for everyone who had even tryed to play any instrument. This basics are not only typical for techno dance ect, they are the way in which every music in the world work. But the vid is entertaining anyway, though useless.

  • Excellent video but one problem -- you're used to working left-to-right with trackbuilding, and the video shows right-to-left because the camera is placed opposite.

Flip the video! Reverse it and post again! :)

  • I want to pop some ecstasy plz

  • Great video lesson. When i compose my music, i see the same structure :)

  • he is teaching 'music', not just 'dance music'... hopefully, rock is dead.

  • Nope, no other music i can think of starts as with just a beat.

  • what about ethnic music?

even rock music sometimes start with only a beat

  • Yeah but only dance music starts with the beat the majority of the time..

WTF is "ethnic music" that could LITERALLY be anything.

  • What song is he making? Can anyone tell? Judging by the color and arrangement of the Legos, I am guessing he is demonstrating "Beautiful Things" by Andain.

  • Excellent analogy. Very creative!

  • Very much the Way Acid Loops Works. Good explanation.

  • Very creative, and good info too.

  • I think u just explained it the easiest possible way!

  • haha, this is cute... i could teach my little sister about that, with that.

  • Seriously, you could use lego to plan a whole set. Nice one.

  • thanks for this :)

  • nice

  • Excellent tutorial , Johnathan !

    You talk a lot lol

  • wow, learning made easy, thx to lego's wow, That was so easy to understand....THX!!!

you smoke to much dope !!!

  • Nice one J!

That's a very genius way of explaining the structure of dance music and how to properly mix it in with another track.

New DJs: Listen up. This video explains how to do it right.

  • I use Cubase but the Lego looks a cheaper alternative

  • excellent way of showing this, I would have made each circle a beat and each brick a bar.

  • makes alot sence that :)

I was always thinking of just the bass line!

Very good vid J thank you,

    laterz

  • Legos are the perfect way of showing this. Great vid.
