  • HAS ANYONE TRIED THIS SUCCESSFULLY ON THE IPHONE 4S??????

  • @Gchild2k6 - This will work with the iPhone 4S, it merely depends on your network.

  • I asked O2 Ireland to unlock my iPhone 3GS. Did everything in the video here and the carrier name is now Vodafone.de ( German sim installed). However I can send texts but the don't arrive to any of my contacts? It's like it's still locked even though it's carrier in the top left corner has changed. Any ideas?

  • Vodafone Link down :/

  • Been told I'd have to pay up to £90 to get a iPhone 3GS on Vodafone unlocked. So fingers crossed I can get it done free or cheeper. Thank you oh and I think you do sound nice :)

  • the link to o2 does not go where you say it should go

  • so can you not do this on vodafone at all?! x

  • @emilyjayTW - I'm on Vodafone and they told me that they'd unlock my iPhone for free after the contract you bought it on is finished.

  • How do you think I can get internet on my iPhone 3gs?

I had my iPhone on 24month contract, I switched to the blackberry on vodafone contract as I could get a cheaper deal than all iPhones on the market. I kept my iPhone for the iPod. I ask this because I want to download an app, but it will only let me download it on the iPhone which I need internet for...not on my macbook. Do you think it would work using a pay as you go sim and doing it that way (although quite teadius and expensive)?

  • @pinkfairyice - A pay and go SIM would certainly cost a bomb if you're using it for the internet. Why not connect your iPhone to a Wifi router instead?

  • Hospital webcast: Man with taste.

But back to the subject, I gave my 3gs a full wash and spin at 60 degrees. House insurance are paying out but i'm gonna hold out for the Iphone 5 but want something to keep me going.

Mate has offered me a white 3gs for £130 which is giveaway and I will have regardless but its on o2. He had it on contract which is now ran out. Will I be able to get it unblocked or would it be better to get him to do so?

  • @crugga - It's definitely better to get him to unlock the phone. The terms and conditions seem to say that after the "owner" of the phone has owned it for X months "THEY" are eligible for an unlock. Plus this way you will avoid having to explain why you need this phone that doesn't belong to you (in their records) needs unlocking.

    Thanks! :)

  • @MyRandomReviews

    Cheers mate, much appreciated. :)

  • ugh i just want to throw my iphone... like.. it says the sim card thats inserted in the iphone does not appear to be supported. wtf?? someone help me :((.. yes i did plug it the usb or wutever its called... i was restoring it becuz it was acting weird.. so then when its done restoring.. i did everything n now its.. wtf?? • I bought an iphone 4 in Britain locked to o2. But I live in Norway and I cant access the website because it says they do not sell products outside the United Kingdom. can anyone help me? :)

  • @inamedin123

    try ebay unlock iphone o2

  • @inamedin123 Use a proxy server to access to site :L !?!

  • was just asked for £20 from orange. on contract, over 12 months now.

  • @gryzman - Your contract must be finished (completely over) before the law states that the network MUST unlock the phone for free when asked.

  • Is this unlock permanent? I mean if you upgrade the iPhone firmware do you get rid of the unlock?

  • nice voice! :))

  • @OmPlictisit - Sarcasm? :P

  • Okay so i live in The Untied States and im on AT&T prepaid and i really want to unlock my iphone 2g it was unlocked till i restored by accident. So i i buy a T-mobile sim card i will be able to have it fully unlocked and i can use t-moblie as my carrier? or can i switch back to AT&T? Please get back to me ASAP Thanks man :D

  • @seadragonboy42 - If you bought the phone from AT&T you'll have to get it unlocked by AT&T, wherever you buy the phone from you must get it unlocked by that company, as they're the one's who locked it.

By what I've heard though, AT&T never unlock their iPhones (which is a disgrace).

If you manage to get it fully unlocked you'll be able to swap different SIMs in and out and not have to worry about it locking again.

  • @MyRandomReviews I think i got it unlocked fully and im defiantly changing my carrier because AT&T really does suck lol Any idea's on which carrier i should choose?

  • @seadragonboy42 I live in the UK so I can't really pass judgement although I know that Sprint are investing in 4G WiMax; which I think is a big mistake. WiMax is a much less expandable / future-proof technology compared to LTE. I am with Vodafone in the UK and they are excellent, but I can't pass judgement again on their American efforts (namely Verizon). My favourite network for a long time have been T-Mobile, just because of their utterly brilliant mobile internet, again not sure of T-Mo USA.

  • @MyRandomReviews Well ill have to give t-mobile a try :D

  • @seadragonboy42 - I hope they keep their good reputation for coverage and internet in the US too. Tell me how you get on. :)

  • @MyRandomReviews Thats a will do but i wont be for while lol

  • Yep iPhone 4 is avaliable Unloked By APPLE OFFICALY

  • Is it now locked to t mobile? or can you swap networks as much as you like now??

  • @101metalboy101 - It is fully unlocked now and will not lock to any other network.

  • will this work in canada

  • a friend has an uk iphone and if he unlocks it and restores it will it still be locked

  • @bcm262 - Not if he does it this way.

  • @bcm262 i meane it will still be unlocked

  • @bcm262 - Sorry my answer didn't really make sense, lol. Yes, the phone will remain unlocked so long as the phone is unlocked officially, like the way I mentioned in this video.

  • @MyRandomReviews thanks mate:)

  • Great vid explaining the legal unlock process! I just wanted to ask as I have bought an iphone 3g which is locked to 02and was wondering how i could get it legally unlocked? my old phone's contract was with vodafone i only have an 02 pay and go sim from an older phone. Any help would be appreciated :)

  • @Floadn The person who purchased the phone initially must unlock the phone.

  • i have uk based iphone 4 with firmware3.10 and 4.2.1 version..the provider is orange .....how should i unlock it...please help me....

  • Thanks for making the video my is locked by AT&T so I need help because I have a Rogers sim card it doeo not work!!!

  • @thejasonsimmy1 - AT&T are a crappy company which don't let you unlock your iPhone, unfortunately. If I where you, think about jailbreaking. It's the only way stupid companies like that will learn I'm afraid. :(

  • i have the iphone 4 with firmware 4.1.2, got it from the uk on the orange network....need 2 unlock it....tried various websites and i have got nothing....need help with this.

  • @1Naijadude - Call Orange and ask them to unlock it.

  • i have the iphone 4 with firmware 4.1.2....need 2 unlock it....tried various websites and i have got nothing....need help with this.

  • ive got the correct sim card in my phone yet there is still no network

  • Excellent video. Thanks for your help.

  • i have a blocked iphone now what? its not on any network...bought it off gumtree and now it dosent have any network connection? anyway u can fix that?

  • @Pnaliza - You need a Micro SIM card from the network of your choice. Although your iPhone might be locked to a network, so that SIM might not work. I don't know if there's any way of finding out what network your iPhone is locked to without just knowing. :P

  • Hiii i got the text and email and whenever i connet to itunes nothing happens :( HELP PLEASE :)

  • Hi, can you Unlock my Orange locked iPhone 4 ?pls i need it.

    from germany

  • @Gunjo439 - Call Orange customer services, they will tell you fully if you can and how you can unlock your iPhone. I cannot unlock it for you.

  • Does the unlocking process completely wipe the phone of all apps, contacts etc?

  • @bash12b - No, I lost nothing.

  • HI DUD, I CALLED O2 AND I GOT MINE UNLOCKED, YOU ARE A BIG STAR THANX

  • @Erriyan12 - Hey, no problem. It's what I was aiming for! :D

  • hello, could you give us the number that you called to unlock your Iphone please.

  • @Erriyan12 - Well I just called customer services. Which, on O2 is 202. :)

  • Ok guys... I have spent 1 day on the stupid iPhone unlocking.

I'd definetly recommend you to don't be lazy and download a redsn0w program. Guys it really helps ... I needed my phone for tomorrow and I was like hell what I'm gonna do.. But I got it! at 2 am i finally made it. USE RED SNOW@@@@@

  • @iQuadraPop - OR I could unlock it for free without voiding my warranty and without having to unlock it every time I update? Plus you run the risk of bricking your iPhone permanently. It's not a question of if you can be bothered unlocking it this way, it's about if you don't mind taking the risk of having to shell out £500 for a new phone, just because you couldn't wait.

  • hey do u know if T-Mobile in UK do it when am still under contract. i have the Iphone 4

  • @hoodhistorypro - I'm not too sure, I would think that they'll unlock it after your contract's finished but they aren't required to before that time.

I've asked them so I'll get back to you when they do. :)

  • @hoodhistorypro - Hey, I've just had a reply back from T-Mobile. They say that you can unlock your iPhone after owning it for one month. You just have to call customer services and they'll get it done for you straight away!

Congrats on choosing the right network. :P

  • i bought a ip4 from pakistan and its locked to o2 how to i get it unlocked from o2 ?

  • @cbd89 - I don't know if you can unlock a foreign phone. And if you can I wouldn't know how. Why not try ringing O2?

  • i've ignored everything except for ur badass race car :D

  • @dooiedodo31 - Lol, do you mean the car eating walkers crisps on to of the car? :)

  • @MyRandomReviews idk.... upper right corner at the start. and yeah. :3

  • Is there anyway if you have an iphone on o2 pay as you go - you can get it unlocked for free without having to jailbreak it?

  • did any1 manage to unlock their Orange iphone 4?

  • Hi thanks for your video , thanks to you my iphone is unlocked now for free just called o2 went through a form he said it could take 2 weeks but it was done the next day.

    Thanks again

  • @wewonitfivetimes - Haha, no problem. It's what I was aiming for... :)

  • Hi thanks for your video , thanks to you my iphone is unlocked now for free just called o2 went through a form he said it could take 2 weeks but it was done the next day.

    Thanks again

  • THIS DOES NOT WORK IN THE UNITED STATES! Realize that there are other people who have the iphone if you could not yet infer that from the videos. T-mobile has it germany for example. Chill out, ATT sucks anyway...

  • dose this work in sweden

  • @pamelarise69 - OR I could unlock it for free without voiding my warranty and without having to unlock it every time I update?

  • no AT&T? fuck.....

  • does this work to unlock iphone 4

  • @hashimra Yes, it should be exactly the same. Although some companies only let you unlock after your contract term is over, so you may have to wait up to 24 months!

Check the description to find out.
