They kinda ruined it...Eddie was really good but the band plays so lackluster, like they have been forever. The studio version gives me goosebumps to this day, this doesn't even register.

i disagree with a couple of you. i dont think it would have fit well on Vs. cant imagine going from animal , leash or pretty much any other song on the vs album to Alone. my opinion.

Apparently, they already had a lot of songs with a similar tempo on Ten, so they decided to cut it. Great song though, definitely. I think it would've made a good Vs. song as well.

No, my friend I believe you are wrong.  I was at the show in Camden, both actually. And I saw this show, 10/03/05 at the Wachovia Center. It was actually better than the Camden shows.
