everything worked perfectley until the end where i put the soul silver nds file in the rom folder and the sspatch in the patch folder i cliked the patch application thingy he black screen came up i pressed a it started loading then it was done except i do not see the patched game nothing was there except for a temp folder when the black screen was up but it went away once it was finished

The US version might be out but as expected it uses the same AP system as the jap version rendering it useless it black screen's every now and then or freezes there is 2 patches out 1 is still not good but the other requires moving a file out of the actual rom file with DS BUFF i will not say where to get the infomation to do this as i do not want to get in trouble. use google that's all i will say.

I'm not sure, but i think you can try to rename the sav file's name so that it'll be readable to the english rom

something like that happens to me. when i insert the HG in the rom folder then the ssep.patch in the patch folder (like in the video) i hit on the patch program and for two seconds appear me a folder named temp but then dissapear :S anyone know what happens?

For some reason it's not working.

I have the Soul Silver in my ROM file.

And the ssep.patch in my patch file.

Then I open the patch, the cmd opens I press a key. It then says preparing files and then closes. But I don't have a new file. Anyone knows what I'm doing wrong?

no you do not, you can keep the same save file. just rename the save file to the same name as the updated rom file, but change the save file extension to .sav instead of .nds

there can be many possible reasons why it isn't working.

1. the patch isn't compatible with your flashcart (it should work fine if you're using R4)

2. you might've patched it wrong.

3. you might've done the patching process correctly, but moved the wrong file into the flashcart :x

remember that these are just possibilities and that none can be the case youre having.

I'm using No$gba. I downloaded HG like seventy-gajillion times and the only things that are translated are the bag, name (obviously), and move text. None of the text is translated. Cool song btw.

because that's the first step of the anti-piracy, youre game will freeze. but if you did it correctly, then there should be no freezing.

I dont think it will freeze.. unless youre just unlucky. because some games just freeze intentionally and needs a re-download.

and Katakana one is the same thing as the English patch BUT the names of pokemon and i think towns are in Japanese.
