  • How nice, now emulate Windows 7. If not, Microsoft will quickly destroy your Mac...

  • I rly hate vista

  • xD

more comfortable in my computer, trying to

  • @BOXMAN2 you say bullshit

    learn something about pc

on my dads pc which does photoshop and after effects has 24 gb ram and uses it all of it

    so stfu

  • @thekyriakos Most programs aren't programmed to use all of that memory, so unless you plan on multitasking programs that make good use of that memory, your father has wasted quite a bit of money.

  • @BOXMAN2 try 1gb

  • @BOXMAN2

You obviously don't know what I run within my current 4 GB of ram. 6-8 GB would be helpful, but I never said I wanted 16 GB.

  • thats not vista its just the image its not real

  • @8ballmad15 It is completely real, he is running a windows vista emulator on his mac.

  • VITSA HURTS MY EYE WINDOWS 7 DONT HURT MY EYE

  • It's ok you don't have to show us that you like ms-windows, just buy a pc and stop wasting ur time.

  • windows Vista SUCKS !!!!

    windows 7 ROCKS !!!!! k_k

  • everyone say windows sux but more than 60 % still use windows xp :D and more than 20 % vista/win7 and other versions of windows.. so linux and mac is not so popular :D

  • it should be a pain in the ass

  • I think it is..just in a Virtual PC

  • you fail....

  • @TutosWindowsXP yeah it is

  • I know a guy that is in video editing with his computer and he never goes over 17gb of ram when processing multiple HOURS of 1080p video. Even though he paid prime to have 24gb in his system, a large majority of it is never used. Ow & he also has 4 xeon processors on his motherboard with several EXPENSIVE!! graphic cards, what a waste....

    Great video!!

  • I have to say, Linux is the best OS for video editing. There are also some good 3D animating platforms, such as Maya, that work with it. The nice thing about the Linux platform is that GPU acceleration works the best on it. In fact, the GPU accelerated applications archetecture was developed on it. The Linux system I saw has 2x 6 core AMD Opterons and 2 Radeon 5770s. Has a total of 32 GB of RAM. Costed the guy about $12,000 (most of that was the 2.5 GHz rams)

  • uuuuuuuuuuuuu¡ tiene mas que el mio ,el mio tiene 3 gb

  • macs suck

  • 6 Is probably the most I would ever use.. I'm using 4gb at the moment. All DDR3.

  • Machine Virtual Lol !!

  • i'm studying ict it is a known FACT that vista wont run on a os with less than 512 megabit of ram.. 1gb recommended.. i hate people that try and show off and it just fails. badly!! idiots !

  • 512 megabit is 64 megabyte, dumbass. Don't try to sound smart when you don't know shit.

  • why have an I7?

i think its totally pointless because the I7 is not going to be fully - used in like 3-5 years and 16gb RAM WTF??? too much ram for one pc....

also try to "learn to spell"

  • Agreed... Anything over 6GB is a waste... Have a server board that is upgradeable to something similar, but is absolutely pointless. Got board so I could mount two processors (Very useful).

  • awesome my pc has a quad core and 6 gb ram runs gta iv great! =P

  • Think the quad core processors are quite nice had good experiences and great for rendering! Youd be surprised how noisy two processors are The advantage though, the machine is VERY stable. Never crashed. Had to spend a fortune on new fans etc because sounded like a hair dryer. Lol. Runs at about 22.6 degrees under load now. Will probably upgrade again soon though.

  • agreed i thought about the i7 and its too expensive and ill probaly upgrade the processor in about 2-3 years

  • It depends on what you're doing. Heavy video or photo editing can use well over 6GB. As well as Autocad.

Two processors is also useless unless you run software that can use it. This excludes all games, by the way.

  • @dickkwikkwek No it doesnt, games use different threads for physics and other game logic. You can also have windows run under one thread and a game under the other etc. You won't have much performance gain with older games though.

  • Nonsense. There are very few games that even utilize a quad core, let alone two physical processors.

  • what the hell? You need at least 512 mb of memory to install vista. 48mb of memory wont even install windows 98 let alone vista.

  • Could have removed RAM after OS was installed.

  • thats wasting money when 16 gb is necessary we are 4 jear further (i use myself 4 gb on win 7)

  • I bet that you can't spell the word "document"...

16gb is a waste of money... the newest games use only 3-4gb or less RAM...

When you upload a video with specs of your pc validated with cpu-z, than i will believe that you we're dumb enought to spend your money on a pc with 16gb ram

  • @shigalbigal id go for 4 or 8 gb ram

    16 is just unnecesary

  • @shigalbigal no

some guys who use adobe photoshop after fx...

    need 16gb of ram

    espesialy ddr3 at 2000Mhz

  • @shigalbigal

16 GB is cool, and it comes in handy when you're rendering a video, decoding a DVD, playing a game AND watching a movie at the same time. I have 4 GB of ram and I'm constantly bumping up against the 98 % usage mark. It's right about then that my computer slows to a crawl.

  • @shigalbigal I agree, I dont see any point in getting any more than 6, just get 4gb 1600mhz like me or 2000mhz if you got the cash

  • @shigalbigal You say only 3-4gb. My computer only has 2 :( I need an upgrade.

  • @Sinxseal Mine has 1 and I'm running Windows 7 so I'm the one who needs an upgrade! :D

  • @shigalbigal lol, you win

  • @Sinxseal You only need 1GiB to game.

  • @jjovereats LOL, Wrong!

  • @shigalbigal

16 GB of Memory is not a waste much?

Its very useful when you use it for editing videos with like Sony Vegas and Adobe Premiere CS5.

And now the newest games like Crysis 2 needs like more than 4 gbs of RAM if its on like all high settings with a nice graphic card.

  • @MrEmJayVee I agree but you have to keep in mind his comment is a year old and was valid back then. Back then you didn't need 16GB for all of that stuff. I have a laptop that has 4GBs of RAM, I will be upgrading to 8GBs pretty soon! :)

  • windows = gaming = better = fun

  • true

  • You idiot. People use macs because they don't know about computers. Aaaand vista sucks. 7 is better. Loser.

  • People use macs because they look great and work great.

  • cough EXPENSIVE cough POS cough ive had a mac pro and swaped it for a pc XD i hate macs so much sorry mac fans...windows runs archican and cad better XD

  • ...people use macs because they are stupid

why would anyone with half a brain pay double for something with the same specs as a PC they could have paid half as less for? Not to mention mac no name brand hardware & no real capabilities to decent overclocking

just shut up :) go sit in a corner with your little document/web browsing mac, thats all they're good for.

  • I don't say that Macs have kickass hardware. I don't say either that Macs have everything by EVGA ASUS etc.

However, for some reason they are still fast. That means the brake that takes half of your HW power is Windows.

Oh and by the way, try opening 40 Word 2008s and swap thru those windows with Aero on your laptop. Just hope that you do not crash and corrupt your registry.

Just shut up. :) Go sit in corner with your kickass ASUS G71 notebook and try to at least boot Vista.

  • @sulkoma You are correct. Agree. The Mac sucks, my parents bought that thing and in Google Images the miniatures don't even show up.

  • Mac's dont sucks. If it don't show images, it's a problem with the mac or Safari.

  • fuck you bitch macs are so much better i am getting an imac 27 inch tonight bitch

  • People use Macs because they don't want to deal with most things Windows needs. Realize that you are biased towards Windows.

  • that has like what? 2 programs? if it had more programs it would be slow as hell!

  • It wouldn't be slower, it simply wouldn't run. And he's only running one program at the time. I bet he'd get a BSOD if he ran or installed more programs.

  • This is why vista sucks. They haven't dropped support for crap.

  • on virtualbox windows 7 ran with 192MB :P it was VERY SLOW!!!!

  • i ran with 90 (it was not tiny7!!) and i use virtualbox too

  • The best and fastest os made by microsoft was windows 98,is fast and works well. Now that they see, that no one use vista crap, they invented windows seven another stupid os,only to make you by expansive computers, like the ones you got ain't good enough...Tricky isn't it ???

  • windows 7 is the best os ever by microsoft. It runs faster than 98 and it looks amazing even better than vista. Its just awesome im using xp right now but i m using the rc in vmware and its badass

  • you're a real idiot

they're making windows 7 because vista takes up too much memory. 98 may be fast but it doesn't have the compatibility of vista or windows 7. people like the visual appeal and usage of windows vista and 7 over previous versions of windows. simple supply and demand.

  • fake

  • How do you use vmware fusion? do you have you have to like install windows?

  • I tried it with 28 MB of ram and it booted but then said no virtual memory available until I started it up again.

  • wth its fuck slow

  • Are you out of your mind or what? You need at least 512 mb of memory, 800 megaherze of speed and a 40 gig hard drive before you can even think of installing windows vista onto your computer. You might beable to run Windows 98 on the computer but not Vista or your computer might crash. Consider upgradeing your parts so you can get enjoyment out of Vista. Once you do that you will need to download drivers to make Vista work better.

  • Read the description.

  • Nope, he/she using VMWare Fusion which is a computer emulation

  • Just reinstall Windows 98SE already! God!

  • i have just finished Installing of leopard on Commodore 64, its slow but funcional

  • Must have used PearPC? Not a bad program, but it is a bit pokey. Gets the job done though.

  • @NamelessNLS You are OBVIOUSLY talking about the current revision (revived version) because that oldie c64c is not enough to run Linux (oh wait an 8bit port came out soz)

  • hahahahaha

  • I'm sorry to bust your balls but I think VMware allocates more memory even though you assigned 48MB

  • lol 16gb is ridiculously pointless. u could use that and a nvidia fx5200 and max crysis

  • perhaps pointless when considering gaming.

But I'm guessing much more useable when concerning DAW's or heavier video editing. but 16g is overkill, I would think 8g would be more than enough for such work and then some.

  • personally i think most of modern video game do not necessary require anything above 1gb. it depends on memory bus speed and bandwidth. it would be a huge different in performance if you are using ddr3 dual channel sli 256bit and a original ddr 200 64bit. 256mb ddr3 will easily beat 4gb ddr200 despite it has extremely small in size. so i think we wont need anything above 8gb in near future once we are step into ddr3 era.

  • lol well true enough, though I'm not neccessarily concerned about speed as I am with heavy lifting, especially now with cpus having 4+ cores I've been chewing through memory. It's different when you're running more than 3 sessions recording w/e material, or running rendering layers in maya, though depending on the OS as well. It makes one's life easier having at least 4g if you're dealing with heavy raytracing or motion blurs :P That's all I was getting at XD

  • well it seems to be a bottleneck like we were in 1999/2000 when opengl 1.3 cannot provide more texture quality and vram was stuck around 16/32mb and gui was windows 98 that does not require amounts of resource. which a 128mb ram was no different than 64mb in any performance. and to day we are facing that situation as well. unless opengl 3.0 release and giving a better game experience.

  • I can run XP on VM with 16mb of mem

  • It's no a video and it's not remote desktop. It's also not very useful for anything because it's so stripped down. It's less useful than Windows 95. Proof of concept though. I am running MacOS/Win7 DualBoot on 2GB memory for my real OS.

  • Estonian felvevőfel what did it? Camstudio

  • Interesting one!

  • You're a fucking Jew. 2GB DDR2 memory modules can be had for $22 these days. Buy one and stop posting useless 'proof of concept' videos. Jesus fucking Christ, you people all want something for nothing. Dicks.

  • Its not a fake i think trust me. My friend got 250mhz 64MB ram pc and its run XP finely.. same i think with Vista if you delete all skins, programs, unnesesary scripts, chose 640*420 resolution and 16bit colour system

  • Read the description. He installed with 512MB and kept lowering it until it didn't work.

  • its called RAM

  • im not really sure but i think that is TinyVista.

  • Oh my god!XD I have an acer aspire M5641, 4 GB of RAM

  • so what? who gives a?

  • it works trust me! thanx nick

  • wow. i can't believe that even booted up.

  • That's fucking insane.

I can't believe it even loads up with only 48MB RAM.

    Very impressive.

  • jordyohare you fucking idiot you can use more then 4 gigs of ram with vista 64-bit

    stupid whore...

  • no wonder ur pc is damn laggy!

  • jordyohare what are you talking about

vista supports up to 10 gb or ram...

  • i think vista can take up to 32 gb of ram

  • Only if it is 64 bit....

    Even xp 64 bit can

  • ya true - i've got a 32-bit desktop downstairs and i feel really stupid cuz i've got 4 gb of ram on it and it only recognizes 3.2 GB of it!

  • if u have a motherboard that is capable of handling such amounts of ram then you can have upto 64gb on vista ultimate 64bit.. server editions usually allow more...

My computer has 16gb DDR2 FB Dimm Ram and vista runs quite smooth infact boots under 25 seconds...

  • yea my laptop with 8gb of ddr3 ram will boot in less than 1 minute so yeah... that makes sense

  • what laptop do u have.... i got a hp dv7-1174 (see channel for more specs) with 4gb ddr 2 800mhz memory.. which im going to upgrade to 8gb (its limit is 8gb ddr2 pc2-6400 800mhz) once ram gets cheaper.. its around 450$ for 1x4gb stick of ram for a laptop.. (compared to 1x2gb stick its over 20 times the price)...

  • I've got a similar machine-

hp pavilion dv7t with 8gb of ddr3 i bought and installed myself

ya and ram will get wwaaaaay cheaper! cant wait to upgrade the mac pro downstsirs - its gonna be sweet!

  • mine has 108gb ddr3 rams... hahaha just joking. mine only has 8gb

  • dude there isn't even a motherboard that supports that, and i don't think there is a single ram stick that has that much, and cooled well^^. or maybe 2x 16gb, or 4x 8gb, MAYBE..

  • mb not gb

  • Vista Ultimate 64-bit can support up to 128GB of RAM. Vista Home Premium 64-bit can support up to 16GB of RAM.

  • 69knight2 vista only supports 4 gig lol

  • What recorder are you using?

  • NanoVista???

  • unless you know how to make vista run at under 512mb it won't(and even if you do it will be terrible)...trust me...so if you aren't that great with computers i would suggest 2gig of ram(i am currently running 6gig of ram) of optimal performance

  • uh i don't know about you but vista runs at 512mb-.-. its proven. thats even the official minimal. it even runs at 256mb with lagg so stfu and google some info about system requirements for vista.

  • would vista run ok with 448 ram and a amd sempron 2.01ghz

  • yea as your processor will back up your RAM on to (vpf)

i do not know if you will get aero on your system with them stats so i would stay with XP if i was you

    vista index

    cpu at 2GHz = 2.5 to 3.0

    Ram at 448 = 1.0

Graphics for windows = unknown no information

gaming Graphics = unknown no information

HDD = = unknown no information

  • If you want a regular Vista and if you don't know how to tweak it at full potential, I would not go under 1GB of ram, and even there, it's not that fast.

If you can get down to 39 processes on regular Vista without removing the eye candy and still being able to do what you want, like I did, then go for it :).

  • yes i bet you it chould run fine i had a computer with 300 ram on it with 1.80ghz computer single processor so it should run well but don't play games on it and turn off the themes and background

  • what is BSOD?

  • blue screen of death

  • what does it means???

  • Its a general system error, when something goes wrong in Windows (usually bad drivers or a corrupt registry) you'll get this blue screen with white text on it that says windows has had a problem and needs to be restarted and then it'll give you a long error code that if you do some research you can find out what it means.

If you have early versions of Windows 98 or 95 laying around, you can get a BSOD on command by clicking start, run and typing "C:\con\con" without the quotes

  • no because it can be restarted he says.

  • did you know you can start the task manager with ctrl+shift+esc...

  • I did not know that! I tried it and it worked! I always did ctrl+alt+delete to get the task manager.

  • this is fake

  • This is actually not fake. I will confess having a 2.4GHz Core 2 Duo does help with some of the speed. As I said, I used vLite with the "-extreme" command switch to strip it down to 320MB or so. It did randomly freeze at certain intervals though (some you can see in this video.)

  • thats edit vista version like windows xp black edition need not much system ram

  • i have vista ultimate witvh 1.5 gb ;p

  • FALSE

Normally Windows Vista at less 256 MB Vista crash and got BSOD

  • I tried that on virtual pc once, I got to 128MB and thenn you get a BSOD at startup

  • dude that is Virtual XP or something on the mac, the 48mb its by it self but i think they are actually share memory so its ok

  • well, it is true that under 256mb of ram you get a BSOD, BUT that is caused by a limitation that can be removed using vLite...

  • that works better than my 512mb vista

  • Lol, vista on virtual pc with 301mb works worse than this :D

  • No Way! its Impossible!

  • Nope. I have tried it under QEmu in Linux. It works, but the installation might be a little, slow. The rest runs fine. Although, I prefer using my harddrive installation on Vista since it has 256MB in RAM...

  • most peropl want vista for the gui though.

  • not me... im on classic theme

  • Too slow for Vista if you run at 48 MB of memory using vLite.

  • What a fu** good job :P

  • cool.
