  • I used to have tourettes , I would squeeze my eyes closed every 10 seconds . I dont have it anymore , I forced myself to stop doing it .

  • metal.... coffee

  • look up samuel j conroe for a funny comedian who suffers from tourettes

  • this kids are more mature than other kids of the same ages. you can notice it when they speak

  • @namexlaura

It seems that having to learn about, understand, and deal with this condition at young ages cause them to develope a certain intillegence and maturity.

  • my best friend has touretts i dident notice he to me last week...nothing changed (:

  • I have it and I LOATHE when close friends of mine think Tourette Syndrome is a 'made up' syndrome and that I don't have it. It took YEARS to 'manage' my tics. It's like being in a body and having a mind that is partially out of control.

  • If someone has tourettes, I will stare, but only because I want to see it, I love knowing things I don't have. i.e.. drug problems, disorders, phobias. I love to learn how their day to day life is and it makes me happy to learn about it.

  • sometimes however mostly it remains into adulthood

  • I just realized i had tourettes syndrome when i was little. Well, they weren't severe or anything i just blinked my eyes really hard and scrunched up my face all the time. My mom would make fun of me and insult me and tell me how ugly i was when i did it. years later, they finally went away somehow. is it because of my mom or does it automatically go away?

  • I like these kids, they understand it to were if someone ask they could explain it, my best friends little "nephuew??" has tourettes and hes always developing new ticks because when were around him we don't talk about his current ones,

  • Who would think it's contagious??!

  • @somechickygirl A lot of kids, actually! :L

  • @somechickygirl me . whew i'm glad its not

  • @Kueck10893 :o

  • weed is powerful med for tourette!

  • the boy said that he has to do it, and when he does not his muscles get tense and it does not feel good. When i get really angry, like fighting angry, i have a tiny case of tourettes to punch the shit outta someone, kinda joke kinda real

  • That little girl in the blue dress looks like me when I was little

  • I'm pretty sure I had Tourettes when I was young. I had a butload of ticks. The most obvious one was I had to stretch the tendons in my neck.

My mom, rather than understanding me (thank goodness) decided to pull me by my ears every time I did it. And guess what, a lot of ear pull later I no longer have that uncontrollable urge to most of my ticks.

But don't touch my ears cuz I'll bite your fingers right off!

  • @babybobmarley333 LOL yeah it sounds like you had it pretty mildly. I've had the exact same "neck tendon stretching" tic before.. That's good that the ear pulling worked on you. Unfortunately some people's urges are a LOT stronger than others and no matter what kind of punishment follows, they can't resist that urge. To date, the best way I have eliminated my tics by at least 60% is with diet. I went gluten free and dairy free and the difference was almost night and day....

  • idk if i have touretts but i twitch all the time and i cant control it, its especially embaressing in class when my head twitches constantly -.-

  • This video is Amazing and Inspiring <3 These kids are so brave to come out and explain what people think makes them "not normal" in accordance to other kids, when in fact they are like everyone else. They are amazing kids<3

  • My 8yr old son has just being diagnosed after a year of doctor visits here in the UK.. I would like to say a very big thank you for such a well produced video that doesnt sensationalise TS! All the ones I have come across only show the 10% of suffers who swear, including from a chidlren's view, so it was refreshing to see such a postive view of TS that I could share with my son and my friend and family!

  • This melts my heart. Growing up with tourette's (it peaking at about 13yo) I can fully relate to everything these kids say. It's tough. It's a real burden in life. That scene where the kid is talking to his class about it, sad thing is, half the kids in that class have probably given him shit about it... Today I rarely have tics, and I can control them easily in public, and I have learnt not to judge or pretend I understand anyone with a disability/condition.

    "We're just like you"

    :)

  • I know how they feel but mine isn't so bad that I need medication I just tux every now any then, I hate it

  • good way of explaining it all, do they know, that in most cases is starts to go away during puberty?

  • ow this kid even with tourettes they realy smart they know about that sydrome more then those guys making fun of them ask a normal guy who doen't have that syndrome see if they know

  • This is heartbreaking. And those videos making fun of people with Tourettes, its absolutely horrible. I would love to see how these kids are today; seeing as this video doesnt look very new haha <3

  • One time i was in school with a guy with tourettes he blinks in a weird way when he get tics one time we were in a small fight and i teases him with it and he started to cry and i laughed at him cause i didnt know what it was. he moved school and i have never seen him since, but now when i have seen stuff about tourettes i feel ashamed and my biggest wish is to find him to say sorry.

  • @mmiguy2306 Wow. They r not the ones who need a back hand to the face. U r. And no matter what you do to them it will not stop their tics. Grow up

  • 2:30 dangit, bobby.

  • American kids alway seem so smart and insightful, what the fuck happen to you all when you grow up??

  • I dont have TS.... But boy... haha... Healing in Jesus name

  • Great video. Possibly one of the most frustrating things in life (to me) is when people try and talk intelligently about things they know absolutely nothing about like for example "tourette's" or "OCD" It's fine to say you don't "get" it or "understand" it but don't make yerself look like a loser by trying to give yer own UNeducated opinion about something like TS based on nothing. This is a very real disorder and it's sad that there are morons out there who downplay it because they can't grasp

  • @halo7982

Yeah, most people have no real clue about tourettes. These kids aquit themselves very well and eloquently in explaing their situations.

  • @halo7982 Someone who doesn't have it or doesn't someone who has it cannot comment in any way period.

  • @LilasRose1973 Not too sure what you are saying

  • @halo7982

Sorry what I meant is someone who doesn't have Tourette's Syndrom or doesn't know anyone with it, meaning really knows about this sydrom then should not make any comments period cuz they don't know what they are talking about. This a medical matter and people sometimes makes ignorant comments that should not even be allowed by the person who posted this video. This sydrom is really disabling and serious.

  • @LilasRose1973 Oh yeah, I 100% agree. I've lived with it my whole life and I can't believe the ignorance out there..

  • @halo7982 In other words I totally agree with u lol

  • @LilasRose1973 aaah Gotcha... at least there's still some common sense out there. It's amazing how much misinformation and assumption there is in this world :)

  • Bless these children. <3

  • I have tourettes. Im growing out of some of the tics tho

  • I have some facial tics, no tourrettes. I feel bad for em

  • Metal..

..Like, it comes and goes all the time-

    COFFEE!!

Aw, he was adorable. (: All these children are. Tourettes Syndrome should be the least of people's worries, it doesn't really bother anyone and it certainly doesn't harm them so nobody should judge them for it.

  • 5 people simply have no understanding of any disorders.

  • I have TS and my life is so hard , bc so manny people make fun of me :( but im glad im not alone . Thanks for posting this :)

  • These kids are SO brave,,

  • My friend send me the link to this video and he told me that I have the same problem, as all of this tics because I just cant help it if i'm not doing my tics I'm really cranky and all of my muscles are pend at that moment thanks for sending this vid

  • Cure is a bullet to the back of the head, like they did to Chikatilo. BANG

  • @needslessniggers

    i have tourettes.yeah.go on,mock me.

you are an insensitive fucknut who probably thinks that these kids do this because they choose to. i have tourettes and i know that they dont do it on purpose.its like an urge that you have to satisfy. these kids are very brave and are helping rid the world of the stereotypical view that people who have tourettes swear all the time.only around 10 percent of tourettes sufferers have that. oh and think before you say/write some thing please.

  • @needslessniggers funny thats the same cure for ur problem ass wipe

  • i understand thes kids 100% i hav this syndrome as well

  • sometimes having tourettes can suck, but then on other times it really is a lot of fun!

  • @snowfire686 i hav to agree theres never a time where i run outta conversation with my friends we were joking around about how if someone had the opposite of the cussing problem just like walking down the hall n yelling at some one YOU HAVE A NICE SMILE! n stuff like that it makes having tourrettes a little less hard to deal with if i can joke with my friends and pretend for a lil while that im normal

  • They just have no idea

  • This poor kids. TS is horrible and if someone say it's funny

  • i like having tourettes...

  • to all who misunderstood these kids are uneducated fools...

  • Wonderful kids in this video.

My boy started the throat clearing thing a year ago or more. It went, another monir tick followed. But it wasn't until the eyeball tics and the head movement to counteract it that i've looked into this condition. The eye thing started 1 week ago and the appt is booked with the neurologist. I hope he grows out of it and he doesn't have long lasting chromic tics or TS.

Thanks to all the people that'd put videos up showing tic effects in their kids, it helps.

  • @dansamsarah good luck to him i recently underwent those tests and i hop everything comes up clear best of luck and as far as i know most cases fade wen reaching adulthood

  • HOLY DUMBFUCK...

  • its a very strange condition

  • If TS is hereditary, why do the parents seem so shocked that their child has it? Does TS skip generations or something?

  • @Ralastar Seems so. I don't know anyone in my family who has TS, besides me.

  • @Ralastar a person can carry a gene with out ever showing symptoms so when they have kids the gene may be expressed

  • @Ralastar What happens a lot of times is a parent might have completely different symptoms than the child and not even know they have it. For instance, a parent might have had it mildly as a child and grew out of most of it (which happens a lot) and totally forgot about it or never got diagnosed. Then the child might have it and have much more severe symptoms or corprolalia and that is why the parents are shocked because it is still foreign. Tourette's can manifest itself in MANY ways.

  • FART.

  • this is soo dumb... a nice back hand to the face would def stop them from doing it

  • @mmiguy2306 Yeah... the same way a nice backhand to the face would make you smarter.

  • @mmiguy2306 hahahaha what a loser youtube name.... mmiguy?? really?

  • i watched this video the other day in History channel! i was so impressed with these kids! having this kind of illness is devastating yet in their age they didn't let TS be in their way! they continue to live their life to the fullest!

the ending song,"tomorrow by alicia morton, just gives me goosebumps and i can't helped but cry! i was so touched!

  • the girl at 0:36 looks like natalia vodianova, the model for kamiseta :)

  • its to bad for these kids, hopefully there will be a cure

  • aw:)

  • i've seen this video so many times that lil boy who said metal is so cute

  • I understand cuz I croak like a frog. My mum and sister who didn't understand always thought I was trying to seek attention, FML.

    I wish these kids happiness

    Lots of LOVE

  • STOP WITH THE MEAN COMMENTS!!!!! these people with tourette syndrome cant help it they didnt want to have tourettes yall should encourage them to stay strong!! I LOVE ALL OF YOU!!! LOVE LOVE LOVE!!!

  • Oh man if only this was narrated by tourettes guy... the kids would do there tics and he would say PISS or FUCK OFF

  • Thank you so much for this video. I just found out yesterday that my 8 yr. old son has tourette syndrome and I didnt know much about it. I feel like crying when I see thesevideos but it helps me understand him more.

  • These kids have Demons residing in the brain .

  • @phattracs and you might have a demon residing in your heart... be a little sensitive.

  • @msMapleEdD No but I do know and have participated in spiritual warfare. But it won't get done without minister of YAHUWAH.

  • @phattracs lol good, I like you better now :)

  • Lol freaks.

  • My partner has TS and this short doc brought tears to my eyes thinking about how hard their live must be at times. I cannot imagine living each day having to carry the baggage, at times shame and utter frustration of TS. I believe it is incredibly important to promote TS awareness not only to help find a cure but to make life easier for TS sufferers. No one with any disability should feel isolated , as these young kids themselves said, they are normal human beings and god loves us all :)

  • They are absolutely precious kids! So smart. They will do more in their lifetime than the jerks who troll youtube trash talking, will ever do.

  • Watch the language and its not the kids fault. And I hav tourettes so do you want to push me down or something. go die in a hole

  • ITS CAUSE OF THESE LOUD MOUTH FUCKS IS WHY I GOT A 10 DAY SCHOOL SUSPENSION. FUCKING RETARD SHOUTS NIGGER AT ME, I DIDN'T KNOW HE HAD THIS FUCKTARD DISORDER SO I PUSHED HIM AND HE FELL. SO I'M FUCKING SORRY THAT I DON'T LIKE THESE DUMB SHITS BUT IT'S THEIR FUCKING FAULT I LOST MY BERKLEE SCHOLARSHIP FOR NEXT YEAR.

  • @SignMePlease1 what's that you say? i interpreted it as "im a dumbass for not knowing that others have disorders so i think it's okay to get physical with them and then i wonder why schools like "berklee" [nonexistent] don't want me as a student . it's okay to get physical with people when they deserve it, and it's their fault that they were born with this GENETIC disorder" fucking idiot (who, in my opinion, doesn't deserve a chance in society)

  • @kyledavid80 Glad to see I pissed you off and had you say all those false things about me :). Oh and dumb ass, Berklee college of music, Boston Massachusetts. It exists. God damn you're just as retarded as one of these kids in the video ;)

  • @SignMePlease1 wow if you really think these kids are retarded than you should go die and burn in hell for eternity do your research asshole people don't choose to have tourettes there born with it dipshit maybe if you had more of an open mind than you'd understand this and wouldn't call these brilliant kids retarded!

  • @SignMePlease1 Late reply, but retarded? I'm on a full ride at Stanford, so when you said "Berklee" I assumed you meant my school's rival. Of course you wouldn't be intelligent enough to get a scholarship to Berkeley (but random-ass Berklee College of Music? Sure)

  • @kyledavid80 Yes, in fact you are so late that I'm pass the point of caring about your stupid false comment. And for the record, anyone who can't control what they say is the true retard, what company is going to hire a worker that mouths off profanities every couple minutes? Ponder that one people.

  • @SignMePlease1 Exactly. And that is why you're unemployed, a virgin and lonely :)

  • @TheEug3nius I'm 17, so jobs aren't that high for me right now, so even if i were unemployed you would know why but I'm not, so "fact" one busted, virgin? I've had my girlfriend with me for 10 months now, "fact" two busted, and lonely... You know everyone may feel lonely at times, but no one is truly lonely, "fact" number three busted, But no no, you seem to know it all about me, so its okay.

  • @SignMePlease1 Guess its community college for you. Darn! I dont think anyone would hire you after you got a degree anyways for your nasty attitude.

  • @SignMePlease1..Mr. I have to WRITE IN ALL CAPS. I have tourettes. Why don't you say something like that to my face. Cause I guarantee you'd be pushed back if you pushed me. I went through enough in school with like you. I hope your long shot music career makes it big soon 'rabbit' cause I'm sure retirement is breathing down your neck.

  • i have tourettes and am now 18 when this video started the awareness was next to non i had alot of kids in my school who tried to befriend me but could not handle the baggage of what happens when you are this young with tourettes i talk to alot of the kids from this movie and for the most part they and myself are amazing young adult well adjusted and awsome to talk to being a girl with tourettes is hard but it get easier with time i promise

  • i have ts and ocd and add and im gifted and talented and im specil ed

    lol what the duck

  • The kid with dreads goes to my school. Hes fuckin awesome

  • Where can I get this documentary at?

  • 1;03 awwww so cute

  • Comment removed

  • All these kids are very sweet but sometimes they surprise me with there intelligence. The young man at 1:49 is so natural and well spoken..not to mention the young man at 2:40...hope to see them on TV some days, I think that's that kind of talent

  • Thanks for posting this! My friends are really understanding about my tics. The only time I had a hard time was when I would roll my eyes in 5th grade, my teacher thought I was doing it to be rude to her. She wouldn't believe I had TS until my mom called her. Other than that, I've been very lucky with my friends/teachers/etc.

  • Each of you are beautiful. Thank you for sharing. Know you are loved and the Angels watch over you. Keep up the positive attitude. Hugs

  • Thank you so much for uploading this. My brother has TS, but his tics weren't really bad and he rarey has them anymore.

    Thank you again. :)

  • @KayIsParamoreAddicte

    You're welcome.

I'm glad your brother is seemingly out growing his tics.

  • @Yobachi2007 This video is beautiful. I love how one of the kids at 3:11' described a TIC that is just like you can't HOLD a caugh or a sneeze, when it cames, it comes... THAT"S THE BEST WAY to describe a TIC.

  • @KayIsParamoreAddicte how old is your brother

  • @DessieandAbby He's 18. My parents discovered it when he was 11 or 12.

  • My friend has tourettes syndrome and she gets vocal ticks I love her she's my best friend people make fun of her and it's rude she can't help it leave her alone I just want to tell everyone people with the tourettes syndrome can't control their ticks so stop asking them to control it because they can't !

  • i rememberseeing this some years back

  • I have tourettes and this makes me feel better about myself, because I usually hide mine. But now I'm reconsidering.

  • it like when person sneezes they have to do it other wise gets worse and builds up. i was at willowbrook state school and i could reamber kids and adults like this. being there.

  • I don't know if you're "allowed" to think this, but I think it's fun and quirky. I wish I had friends like this!

  • These kids are so adorable!!! I met some of them at the teen ambasador meeting C: Much love!!

  • @SignMePlease1 Idiot!

  • @SignMePlease1 dude thats not cool tourettes is a real problem not for some jackass like you to make fun of them. I have a mild form of tourettes so seeing something like that just pisses me off. i hope you die and burn in hell.

  • @juggalo1908 Tourettes is a real SHIT

  • why cant i find the full documentry on youtube

  • @ShawnHHH2 You're a retard.

  • @Yobachi2007 kk, but now youre being politically incorrect to mentally retarded people.

  • @ShawnHHH2 You're not funny at all.

  • @ShawnHHH2 why wud yuh kum on here an putt sumtin lyk that

  • @ShawnHHH2 jerk off

  • we need a cure!!! NOW!!!! but with this recession I guess it ain't gonna happen any time soon! but I need the cure more than I need my life!!! and when it comes! I'll be waiting for it!!

  • Love this documentary!

    I have TS too. :)

  • I have also tourette, and find the video really splendid

  • i understand that kids with tourettes do these ticks but why some kids like shout nigga, or shit?

  • @TehPuoskari

It's a tic. Just like blinking or shaking their heads. They can't control it.

  • @TehPuoskari Because they have Coprolalia. Look it up.

  • @TehPuoskari because they heard it somewhere, probably at home. they dont just magically shout out words they've never heard before. if they hear a word, they usually pick out the most offensive word that comes to mind but not intentionally. they have to say it. its like an ich you cant scratch and the only way to stop the itch is to say it.

  • hahahahahahahahahahalolhahahahahahahahahalol

  • why is that funny!?!? i dont think they think its funny i have it and i dont think it is!

  • @justaliiiiiiiiiii

many people find Coprolalia funny. Only because people may say something random, that others find randomly funny. It's not funny when it's so constant for them, and the person diagnosed can't control it at all.

  • @johndearing55 This was my friend

  • @johndearing55 There's nothing funny about people suffering from Tourette's Syndrome.

  • I Had Tourettes, When I Was Young And I Had Tourette Syndrome And Im Proud Of This Wonderful Children: HELP FIGHT TOURETTES!!

  • this kids are so intellegent, that lil girl in the dress is such a cutie, feel so sorry for these poor kids that they hafta put up with it..good on em for speaking to people about it :)

  • these children are so brave to step out and tell the world about tourettes. growing up i suffered from sometimes very painful tics. but tourettes does get better once you're older. im now 20 and basically living tic free. we are normal people... just unique in our own way.

  • i have tourettes too and its gotten getter over the years, people that make fun of you for it,just ignore it,the tourettes guy is funny as shit

  • Ugh I hate anxiety

  • I feel sorry for people like you. Those kids are strong and inspiring. YOU are an idiot.

  • well i have issues too >>

I am bipolar, i have ADHD, and an anxiety disorder. also clinical depression. so sue me.

  • That's not an excuse for being an insensitive asshole. These kids have courage and are inspiring. Why would you insult them? If anything, considering that you have challenges as well, you should have some empathy. How would you like it if people called you names like that because you have mental issues? Have a heart. Treat people the way you want to be treated. I hope you are able to get proper help. I know it's hard but be strong and hang in there.

  • jesus christ i dont give a shit! im a fuckin sociopath!!

and i dont want anymore help, thank u. i just wanted to figure out wat was wrong with me

  • It actually suck living with it, since i am worried that it will affect my aviation future. I am able to hide them and they dont affect my flying. BUt you know how the government is.

  • i wish i always had that attitude, it took a very good friend of mine to help me realise that tourette's doesn't have to run my life.

  • i have this syndrome...its painful

  • @poopsi858 Hope it gets better for you.

  • Lets have pride

  • @poopsi858 oh i m sorry. hope u get better

  • @poopsi858 that's only part of the answer. :)

  • @poopsi858

I know, it is. Tonight my tics are so out of control that it's taking me minutes to write this (my hands twitch).

  • aaww this touched me alot

  • I'm cool!

  • wtf!, how is that funny!! its a disorder in which people suffer with you douchebag!

  • @agold123456789 but its not normal and thats how comedy works..check your logic bitch, n if u find something funny its not beeing mean its just beeing human

  • first off, im not a bitch.

Second, you are laughing at people suffering, isn't that a little sick??
