  • "I pledge allegiance

    to no flag.

    For tomorrow

we could establish a more perfect one.

    And to the ideals

    which sets souls free,

    all people

    united against tyranny,

    invincible,

with peace and love for all."

  • @medicineman1317 You guys are going to carry us right into the NWO. Thanks. Can't wait. You have no principals. You have no homeland. Actually, it looks more like people like you are united against your own country, not against tyranny. And this is happening all across the world. I think it's you all we need to fear, these closet-NWO supporters.

So tell me, when you all destroy the nations of the world, who do you think will pick up the pieces? You? Or the current establishment? T

  • @bweazel How are you doing Sir? Well I hope. I didn't want to make generalized assumptions about you, and where you were coming from so I checked out your channel. The weird part is that it seems like you and I may have more in common than you may initially think. It seems that my declaration, taken alone and with no other context to judge it from, may be easily misunderstood. I can assure you sir that I am very principled and about as anti-centralized govt/anti- NWO as it gets.

  • @medicineman1317 Very well, sir, thank you. I realize you and many others think they are anti-NWO, but have you ever considered that you might be their useful patsies? Tearing down the nations of the world so they can more easily pick up the pieces? Run that around in your head for a few moments, and think about what change you are affecting and how you are affecting it. Your voice and opinions do matter, take care in how your words may be helping those who you profess to be against.

  • I wish Jesus were real so I could tear his fucking throat open and shit inside the wound.

  • @MikeRoePhonicsMusic yeah nice rehash of Full Metal Jacket.

  • @MikeRoePhonicsMusic Why are you mad at Jesus (if he even existed)? It's the Roman's who gave you that shit religion in the first place, shit down their throats.

  • I pledge allegiance to myself, and the united souls of humanity. And fuck the government, of which we stand, evil assholes, that cause misery and inustice for all.

  • @Master7770 souls dont exist dumbass

  • @sanriver12 Me giving a shit what you think don't exist, and neither does any proof of what you just said, so go fuck yourself. I can say and/or believe whatever I want.

  • @Master7770 You could learn some grammar while you say and/or believe whatever you want. Just a hint.

  • @sanriver12 Prove it, dumb ass.

  • @bweazel you are the one saying it exists. the burden of proof is yours. dumbass.

  • @sanriver12 For you to say something absolute either way is wrong, dumb ass. You nor I know for certain either way.

  • @bweazel you must be one of those cunts that believes in unicorns and santa then.

  • @sanriver12 Nope, just a guy that likes to point out pompous know-it-all cunts being their cunty selves. Fair enough?

While we're on the topic. Define for me what a soul is. Define for me what "God" is. I can surely define for you want Santa is and unicorns are, even though they are fantasies, but they are still easily defined. A soul or the all knowing truth of what life is, on the other hand, are not so easily defined, thus cannot strictly be proved or disproved one way or another. We clear?

  • @bweazel "thus cannot strictly be proved or disproved one way or another" therefore any rational, intelectually honest individual would dismiss its existance, clearly you are either. we clear?

  • @sanriver12 So you're not going to define for me what a soul is? And you're not going to define for me what the truth of the universe is? Hmmm... how come?

  • @bweazel whats the point? you claim these concepts are not easily defined and somehow this is an argument for their existance? want the definitions? go to wikipedia. im still waiting on how you justify believing in something that "cannot strictly be proved or disproved one way or another" but since you are now avoiding issues and getting into other different, i'll asume we are done here.

  • @sanriver12 That's exactly the point. You don't seem to understand how I'm arguing with you, I'm not saying there is a God or a soul, I'm simply telling you that you have no idea if there is, so for you to say "there is no soul, dumbass" is just as wrong as if someone were to say "there is a soul", definitively.

No, I don't care what other people say a soul is, since they really don't know either, I'm asking you. I'm not avoiding anything, that would be you who is dodging questions.

  • @bweazel If we were to apply that premise to all claims, we'd be unable to develop any useful picture of reality, since every claim would then have to be accepted as true (until it is disproved a burden which is especially difficult when dealing with supernatural claims) No sane human being would seriously claim that because we have not disproved the existence of leprechauns or unicorns, they must therefore exist or must be assumed to exist.

  • @sanriver12 It would have been much easier for you to drop your poor excuse for pride, and just admit you have no idea if there is something bigger than you that ties everything in this universe together, which people have mischaracterized as a "soul" or a "god". That's why I asked you to prove it. Since you can't, stop smarting off to other people like you have all the answers, you don't, and by your responses to me, you appear to not have any answers at all, just another regurgitater.

  • @bweazel kind of sad how you claim i believe things i never wrote. is that how you win arguments? one cant say unicorns dont exist since no one can prove that, is that being prideful? (oh no but they are well defined, that makes it different lmao) i say souls dont exist because i am informed of how the brain works. you are a mental midget.

  • VOLUME IS SOO LOWW.....

  • Yes I lsten to TYT occasionally. His politics are a little too leftist for me sometimes, but his heart is in the right place. In the end libertarians, independents and most liberals all want similar core things, namely personal liberty and peace. Us libertarians just think that less government in the attainment of those ends is the only reasonable course.

I also respect the integrity he demonstrated when he quit MSNBC recently because they were trying to make him part of their propaganda team.

  • It's good to know that for every fucknut libertarian like Glenn Beck & Bill O'Rielly, there are smart ones like Doug Stanhope & Penn n' Teller!

  • @DarthBenadic

Glenn Beck and Bill O'Reilly ARE NOT libertarians, not even remotely.

They started referring themselves as such so that the the real Liberty Movement could start getting co-opted by establishment Republicans. They want to ride the tiger, take the movement away from the real people out there and guys like Ron Paul and turn into a side show with hopeless dips like Sarah Palin.

  • @Jack95912 Have you concederd listining to The Young Turks? There a very honest news team on YouTube.

  • @Jack95912 Ron Paul is a federalist, not a fucking libertarian. Sorry.

  • @lmemry You are acting as if the two are mutually exclusive. Anyone who supports our constitutional republic is a federalist. Small "L" libertarianism is a philosophy, not a type of governmental structure. He's a libertarian, small L. He is a federalist as well. And what's with the cussing? Why do some people spew so much anger and hate with Ron Paul? I mean the guy is about as inoffensive as you can get, as is the philosophy, yet some people seem to come loaded for bear when he comes up.

  • @DarthBenadic Bill O'Reilly a libertarian? Dude, whatever you're smoking, save me some!! O'Reilly is as statist as they come

  • @TheLegalImmigrant05 well he says he is a "libertarian" but your right he, Beck and the rest of the Fox "News" ilk are all Statist spineless cowards!

  • "Mongols" LOLOL. So random.

  • lol Pledge of Allegiance really is fucking weird.

  • And that's why I sit during the "pledge".

  • I'm 26 years old and I stopped saying the pledge of allegiance in 6th grade. I thought to myself one day, "Why am I pledgeing my allegiance to a flag?" I decided that it's stupid and haven't said it since. Even when I was in the military, I never said it.

  • You can legally drink in most states when you are 16 as long as you are with your guardian. Bars are another story you lucky bastard.

  • You can drink at bars in Wisconsin if you are 16 or older and are with a guardian. I've done it, numerous times. Getting drunk with people in Wisconsin is funny as hell

  • I remember when you could drink at age 18 in Louisiana. Ahhh the 90s. I also recall smoking on airplanes. Though I was young...

  • America is one of the only countries with a 21 year old drinking age.

  • Once in high school I rewrote the pledge using some old World History topics about when Germany was divided into several states. I got away with my revised pledge cold, but my friend who liked my revisions repeated it in his class -- and got sent home for it.

Meh...some people just have no sense of humor.... :S

  • What's this taken from? I want it for keepzies!

  • I love that Doug brought up Jury Nullification. Few people know this, but when the American legal system was originally set up, it was commonly understood that the role of a juror was to rule on the applicability or fairness of the law itself and not just whether the accused had broken a law. But Judges, who work for the state, have no interest in you knowing this, which is why they give you that bullshit about ruling "according to the law."

  • Very true stanhope... I thought the pledge was BS in 6th grade we even had a "moment of silence" to let kids pray and this was a public school in VA what BS

  • The Mongols are here

  • WOULD YOU CALL YOURSELF A CHRISTIAN IF THEY HAD A NEW JESUS EVERY 4 YEARS?

  • I work at an Elementary School and they still do the slave pledge, most teachers do not care so they just do it (whatever gets them through the day easier) is my finding.

  • Stanhope 2012

  • You do know that they only put "under god" in the pledge in the 50's to differentiate us from the Soviets (Communists) at the height of the cold war.

It wasn't put in because we were religious or our country was "founded on Christian principles", it was just a way to make us look better than "those godless commies"

  • @Bisonzilla

Err. It was put there to cater to Christians, which make up the majority of the country, especially in the 50s when there were way more conservative ones. This country isn't really founded on Christian values, I agree, but its under the impression that it is. Look at all the presidents and politicians that claim to be Christian, they pretty much have to if they have any chance of being elected. I think that's proof enough.

  • @TheOtium the founding fathers travelled to America to escape religious persecution in Europe. The fact that you now have to be a certain religious denomination in order to have the same opportunities is slightly ironic, or more accurately, fucking moronic.

  • @fatmikecj

You need to brush up on your history, NONE of the founding fathers arrived to escape religious persecution. Those were the Puritans that came 200 years previous, that weren't even persecuted, they were simply discontent that Europe wasn't as strictly religious as they were.

But yea to your second point, of course it's moronic. An Atheist, Muslim, or Jew could never have a chance at being elected. But either way it'd only be symbolic, cause the president has no power.

  • @fatmikecj I love how your statement is blatntly WRONG, witch IS ironic, because it makes you look like a MORON hahahaha

  • @carny426 Spelling which that way is pretty moronic. Any ten year old could have spotted that mistake. Not really ironic, just stupid.

  • @fatmikecj Sorry that spelling isn't on my top five things to master list. But no, The founding fathers didn't come over because of religious persecution. Our ansestors, the Puritans, came over for the exact opposite reason, they thought that England was lacking in belief so the left. I'd rather have strate facts and bad spelling, than good spelling and uneducated, and fabricated statements about history.

  • @Bisonzilla The pledge itself was introduced by an avowed Socialist clergyman. It is evil.

  • reality is retarded

  • There's only one problem I have with this entire brilliant lecture by Stanhope. It's the class-action lawsuit part. If the Linkin Log company (or whatever it may be) is a big-name corporation, FUCK them. The less money they have, the better. Aside from that, everything he said is dead fucking on.

  • @mussman717word In spirit, I agree. But finding them guilty doesn't fuck them. That 8 million gets added to the price of a can of lincoln logs. It's consumers who get fucked. If you want to fuck corporations, don't buy their shit in the first place.

  • @JohnFromChicago

Fuck consumers! What the hell do you need Linkin logs for anyway? Shit, give the kid a ball for Christ's sake. We're not talking about small business here, I'm talking about Major Corporations who've got the money to waste. Better it go to a poor bitch who is grieving (and you know she would be) than a greed corporate fuck without a soul.

  • The most insightful social commentator since Bill Hicks.

  • god damn he's good!....never woulda known from those Girls Gone Wild commercials...

  • pledge of allegiance can you name countries which have those? no?

how about nazi germany and the u.s. :P

    yep because it's FUCKED UP

  • Funny How they don't show this guy on comedy central oh wait there A major corperation this like fox new's an need to Protect There Interest.

  • @NATIONALCOMMUNISM666 and bill hicks, as far as i've seen, was mentioned on comedy central's top 100 comedians for about 2 - 3 minutes.

  • George Carlin would be proud.

  • * OH YES ! ! !

  • Carlin/Stanhope/Hicks>anything I have listened to...

  • george carlin is back from the dead

  • Stanhope is pure Rock 'n' Roll. Frakin AWESOME

  • I'm cool with the debate, y'all...but isn't the idea from all of what Doug, and Carlin, et c. to question the shit that is layed before us?

I don't agree with everything Doug says, but i luuuuuuv that he says it : )

    J

  • genius.

  • picked a good day to watch this video, got jury duty later this week.

  • @Fordragon He isn't trying to be edgy. He's pointing out truths in your society. It's pretty obvious that you are frightened by his words.

Calling something cool and hip doesn't make it evil. Please take your passive aggressive bullshit and shove it.

  • @afrojayjay Oh, you're right, someone pointing out the fact that there are restrictions in my society scares me a lot. Because I didn't know that already. Nope. I actually agree with this guy. The reasons teenagers do stupid shit is because they have restrictions placed on them. If they were completely free, they would be little angels. Oh, and there's no reason to have a military, because no one is trying to invade us *right now* and, according to history, that means we're safe on our own.

  • Good luck trying to get rid of the pledge. Republicans will go crazy with that one. You saying they can't F.... That will make republicans even more crazy. You want kids to have sex before they are ready to take care of children. America is a governet run by corporate america. You get rid of the government you have corporate America running wild even more than before. You don't want a leader. Then you want anarachy. Lets go back to the time when doctors used leechs to cure diseases.

  • @biguy617 Modern medicine isn't as fantastic as you think.

  • @afrojayjay This is true. Big Pharma is worse than the grems they are trying to protect us from. I trust herbs and homepathic remedies better than big pharma. But what you guys propose is crazy.

  • @biguy617 its not that easy, things arent just opposites, if you take away one thing the opposite will not necessarily occur. And if the american government is run by corporations, what is the difference if they disappear? progress and capitalism isnt the same thing, there are other ways to run the world, capitalism is a relatively new system.

  • @ceclovitch I don't want to remove it. Just seperate it from government so it is run more by the people instead of by the corporations. Government should regulate the corporations NOT BE RUN BY THEM!

  • awesome. the new bill hicks! i love him!

  • Stanhope hits it out of the park here! "The Pledge of Allegiance" is nothing more than brainwashing of the serfs.

All governments are criminal organizations that do not deserve the allegiance of anyone who has even a scintilla of character.

  • This guy is the new Bill Hicks. I just love him.

  • I don't agree with every thing Doug says, but he's consistent and completely un-hypocritical! More politicians should be like him...and that includes the drinking!

  • Thanks for posting up

  • FANTASTIC!

  • Oh...my...God...that was amazing. Funny with a point, though I don't understand letting crackheads free.

  • @atasteformusic the point is that it's none of your business if someone else decides to do crack, it's their body, let them fuck it up, worry about yourself.

  • I love this motherfucker.

  • doug stanhope is one of the rare comedians who goes beyond the practice of getting simple acts and becomes a philosopher of all the madness inherent in the society we humans create but that none of us want to think too long about

  • ...Liberty and Justice for those who can afford it.

  • "Who's the competition."

  • Liberty and Justice for all*

*Restrictions apply, see Patriot ACT for details.

  • He's so fucking brilliant.

  • I used to sit down during the pledge and people hated me for it, i didnt even know why i did it. until i discovered drugs and guys like hicks, hope, carlin and all the other legends

  • Dear pigeon989 I have never understood this pledge, please tell me more.

  • @pigeon989

Yea, in school kids mindlessly say the words without even thinking about what they're saying, or why. I just sit their quietly.

  • @pigeon989 Thank you for having the strenght I cannot show. Too much fear instilled in my head.

  • Love it!

  • i'm from texas, and im in this class called MCS, which is our schools daily local news show. one of us has to go down to the office and say the pledge of allegiance every day for 2 weeks. well, i went down on the first day and changed it krishnu on the P.A. in the whole school and i got bitched at by about 4 teachers and i just said, fuck you and suck my dick. i don't believe in god cause he's not here. I only did it once cause, i got in some serious shit that day, but it was fuckin worth it.

  • @idontknowwhoyouareso u are a hero sir!

  • @idontknowwhoyouareso

Wait, I don't understand. You just said the pledge and didn't say "under God"? That makes no point whatsoever, it's still brainwashing cult shit. Forgive me if I misunderstood.

  • @mussman717word yes i said the pledge without saying under god. Obviously i am Athiest, and if youve ever seen religulous with Bill Maher, he states that the people with no religion need to stand up. So i did. I'm guessing about 75% of people that believe in a god have no idea why they do. They were just brought up that way (such as i). People need to look into it themselves and believe what they want to believe, not what someone else tells them to believe.

  • @idontknowwhoyouareso Just read this, and if this is the MCS as in the Mustang Cable Service in Friendswood...kick ass man! Good to show those hypocritical pseudo-patriot religious fucks what being a real American is all about!

  • @SkepticallySound Yeah it is! Did it last year sir.

  • Stanhope for president<3

  • Trade out is right..trade services . Great vid !

  • I sit down for the Pledge of Allegiance in school and I love that he made these points. I agree.

  • @SalSanMar3 i did too, i dont think i stood up during the pledge but once and changed it krishnu and got sent to the office

  • Learn about Jury Nullification before you serve on the jury, 'cos nobody else at the court will tell you about it.

  • kudos

  • man i cant w8 to see his act in dallas his fuckin hilarious! ill try to record his show.

  • Sshelly34213, I think it's important to point out that the jewish god, islamic god and christian god are all the same god by definition.

  • I didn't know Allah also had a son.

  • Thulgore, I think it's important to point out that you're a douchebag.

  • Indeed...

Another wasteful thing they shoved in my brain.

  • my favorite person, i wanna shake his hand.

  • "i dont want a leader, wheres that vote go"

  • which album is this from?

  • deadbeat hero i think

  • I like what he says about us having the oldest kids in the world in America. I'm in my fucking mid twenties and it seems like "adulthood" is a forever retreating quality. How many fuckers in their 40's use that whole "Oh, you're just a naive 20 year old" bullshit in their argument?

  • @thomasford word

  • As always, Stanhope is RIGHT ON.

  • Doug sounds like he's an Anarchist.

  • anarquista? és mesmo estúpido! Doug não é anarquista, é um libertário.

  • I can read Portuguese... how did that happen?

  • Libertarian, close but with a little more structure.

  • Yup, what he was describing was anarcho-syndicalism. Just help each other out, borrow, trade, ect. no money or taxes involved.

  • the school would probably fucking flip if i said "under satan" but "under god" is just fine right.........

  • Or "under Stan".

  • "take it, you bitch. fuckin take my piss!"

  • I gotta say, it's watching Doug Stanhope videos on youtube that made me absolutely hate Bill Hicks' fans. It gets hard to watch Bill's stuff just because I can see his fans say "Oh, Stanhope/Carlin/Norton/Rogan/Burr/Mencia/Johnny Standup TOTALLY ripped that off of hicks". Fuck Loyalty to public figures.

  • Doug is too brilliant!!!!!! <3<3<3

  • hes too smart for his own good.

  • you're right sir, correct sir,

  • 2:20 so true!

  • try listening to bill burr

  • @6:17 Fully Informed Jury Association in da house!!! ...Of course, oug is totally right, the most cerebral comedian of our time...

  • Doug stanhopen and bill hicks are the kings. Doug stanhope should be president.

  • Doug Stanhopen and Bill Hicks AND George Carlin.

  • @RoyOrbiton lets not forget George Carlin and Mitch Hedberg too! Out of all of em i like Bill Hicks the best though. There was (and is) something truly special about that man, and i literally agree with EVERYTHING he said.

  • @RoyOrbiton except doug pisses on bills grave from time to time and i realized its because doug chose fear and bill chose love.

  • @codyemc2 It happens.

  • @RoyOrbiton lol even in this video Stanhope implied that there shouldn't be a president...

Also George Carlin should be added to the list. Carlin, Hicks and Stanhope are probably the top 3 of american comedians...

  • @RoyOrbiton

No, he shouldn't be president. Have you not listened to anything he's said about politics?

  • He wanted to run for president himself! Any endorsement of any of the real puppets was a piss take OBVIOUSLY!!!!

  • SAME THING HAPPENED TO ME, NOT GUILTY!

  • Thank god I got into underground stand-up comedy at such a young age. I'm the most wise 19 year-old I know of, in THIS country at least, for exactly that reason... Real stand-up comedy is educational. Stanhope's great, I love that quote, can't wait for my first jury duty experience just so I can pull that one outta my ass.

  • Same here. I'm 19, but I got into George Carlin about a year ago. After watching as much of his material as I could find, I did the same with Bill Hicks. Now I'm trying to work my way through Doug Stanhope. If you haven't seen much of Carlin and Hicks, I highly recommend both of them.

  • So true , both where really good such a shame they died. Try samm kinison as well you might like him.

  • never heard a comic (or anyone for that matter) say what he has. i fucking love stanhope.

  • Agree! Totally original.

  • Free trade is barter NOT GUILTY !

  • This made my think, if it wasn't for government we'd all be relatively safe. Think of if, N.Korea, Iran, China, Russia, etc. don't have any issues with us Americans individually. I didn't do anything to them. You didn't. They have issues with our government and all the crap its done over the years. If America is threatened or attacked (Cuban Missile Crisis & Pearl Harbor respectively), we are collateral damage. That being said, we have a responsibility to defend America should the need arise

  • By far Doug's most profound bit

  • Reagan raised taxes more than any other president in the WORLD actually. 4 times, for a total of astrological proportions. But it worked.....dumbasses. Ask you're new Jesus unthinking tard.

  • hahahah doug has either got it or he doesnt and on this recording he is fuckin on fire hahah

  • Buy used cds, dvds, video games, and books. The giant megacorporations don't get paid again that way.And you'll save a shitload of money.

  • If you dig what Doug has to say and get that he would make a much better U.S. president than any of the typical anti-freedom establishment politicians, please take a moment and go to PetitionSpot(DOT)com/petitions /stanhope2012/ and sign the petition urging him to run!

  • Voting for lesser evil. He cannot cancel the vote :) he also talks about obama just being a good guy and that is some good at least. In a diif video tho

  • Dear Mr. Stanhope: Please adopt me.

  • YES! NICE!

  • I know bugs bunny is not real, how? Because I have a lot of proof which tells me bugs bunny was drawn by guys in the 1950s.

    I also know god is not real. How? I have a lot of evidence that says men make up gods and have been doing so for thousands of years. Here is one piece of proof;

    Thor.

    I rest my case.

  • ahhh I am a huge fan of reality! Money is not real either.....it`s paper...and the only time it was real is before it was killed...ya that's right...tree`s are real. The only reason money has the fiction of reality is because people give in to the ``idea`` that it has value.

peace, love and light to us all

    namaste

  • You can say the same fucking thing about God, he was made up by some Jewish tribe thousands of years ago. It's even recorded.

Also there were people who made up their own gods way before that.

  • More than just made up, they were metaphores for the movements of the stars and planets. Hence why the stories were repeated in different forms time after time ie: the story of christ.

  • Really great point, I agree.

  • really what can i look up to find that

  • You can actually find this right in the bible, I believe it mentions the practice of worshiping polytheistic gods, (which is sees as immoral.)

  • You also have the Vedas which can be traced back further, as well as Egyptian gods.
