My time keeping is not to good from playing by myself for so long. I just do it as a past time. I've played a guitar all my life, and a dobro for the last 3 years. Yes, it is macassar ebony.This reso was made by a good friend of mine, Don Gann out of Cabot ,Arkansas. He told me awhile back that the wood in this guitar would cost $500. now a days.
G is the open position on the dobro and thats why I done it in G. I know this song was written to be done in the key of D which is just perfect for a fiddle. This is one of the first songs I learned when I picked up the reso. This is a song that just dont leave my head, I'm afraid it is plastered to my brain since I play a fiddle too....

I use the computer program "Band-in-a Box" for back up and keeping time. Check it out, it's a great program. Jud
