its too bad beatings aren't allowed ne more. I got my ass whupped wenever i did sumthin bad, my pets got hit with the newspaper wenever they did sumthin bad, and i'd say we turned out okay (prob. better than the "time-out" kids and pets). but i guess we can't do that to our kids and pets now... how the hell do we discipline them then?!

There is a problem with beating the pets though. Most of the time, they dont realize why they are getting beaten. So its basically pointless.

I can't help but wonder if a serious factor in violent communities is whether or not these ppl were physically disciplined or not...
