  • i really love this song...it helps me to be strong and steadfast .

  • Lovely! A great message, thoughtfully entwined with the music & video. Thanks!

  • we will be having this video in our jubilee

    celebration this coming may...

    (the church is celebrating it's

50th here in the Philippines) :)

  • Thank you for posting this. My family and I have sung this song for years at missionary farewells and homecomings, firesides, and devotionals and I always feel so inspired each time we do it. Thank you for this inspiring video.

  • Please provide a lyrics of this song...thank you very much...

  • I know that Joseph Smith indeed saw Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ....

  • Por que todo video da Igreja no youtube tem barraco nas postagens?! hahaha

Nos deixem em paaaz!!! Já viu mórmon protestando, acusando ou publicando coisas contra qualquer outra Igreja?!

  • OMG i LOVE this song and grew up listening to Janice. thank you so much for uploading! :)

  • one of me & my sisters favorite song:)we sang it a ew times in different wards:) LOVEEddddd iTTTTTTTTTTTTT

  • @bdplist- I do not know you neither anyone in this page but I am an LDS.

I do not wish to argue with you but I understand and respect why you question

some of our beliefs. The truth is, all that you quoted from the leaders of the LDS church are true, however youre taking them literally, reason why you think they are inconsistent. I can see that you are very eager to know more about this Church. May I suggest that you meet with our missionaries and have a discussion with them. They can help. :)

  • i luv this song so much.....i was born n raise as a Mormon for 18 years. The gospel is soooooo ture I also plan to go on my mission......to share the gospel with others

  • This song is great! Thank goodness Jesus and the Faher appeared to Joseph Smith ;)

  • » so much i love this song .

  • @howjos At this point I am going to choose not to continue this as we seem to have very different intentions here. I simply wanted to share with you some of what I believe and what I understand LDS to believe. Your intention seems to be to disprove my beliefs. What is your purpose here? to get me to stop being Mormon and convert to a different version of Christianity? If this is the case i applaud the sentiment but not the method. Argument very rarely creates a willing mind.

  • @howjos I simply wanted to know why there is such disparity in a religion that claims we need a prophet today. It seems that even with a prophet LDS are all over the board with their beliefs. Some LDS Worship 1 some worship 2 some worship all THREE LDS gods

  • @howjos bravo. well said.

  • “We testify of Christ" by President Gordon B. Hinckley

“He [Jesus] is the central focus of our worship. He is the Son of the living God, the Firstborn of the Father, the Only Begotten in the flesh.” (March 2008 Ensign, p. 7)

PRES Hinkley makes Jesus his "central focus" of WORSHIP

Does this mean he palced Jesus above the father?

  • "Who is Jesus Christ?” by President Boyd K. Packer

“Humbly I lay claim upon the Atonement of Christ. I find no shame in kneeling down in worship of our Father and His Son. For agency is mine, and this I choose to do!”

    ( March 2008 Ensign, p. 19).

    PRES Packer WORSHIPS TWO gods!

  • @jayrodkoji TRUTH can not be proven WRONG

BUT ERROR can be IDENTIFIED & that is what the problem is.

LDS do not want to be identified as they truly are.

    LDS love lies HATE Truth!

John 3:19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.

  • @bdplist Interesting comment, what exactly is it about Mormons that you feel ties them in with this scripture? I am guessing there is something specific about mormonism that you feel shows them loving darkness or particular things we do as being evil? Or is this just a general statement about my religion? Interested to hear your thoughts.

  • @jayrodkoji In 1830 when Joe wrote the BoM he taught that Jesus was the Father!

JN 17 has nothing to do with Joes MODALISM

"I am Jesus Christ. I am the Father and the Son" Ether 3:14

  • joseph smith is a prophet of God... by him the true church of Jesus christ is now again restored in our day... with its fullness of the gospel. not from the study of bible but the true appearance of two heavenly `personages to a young boy joseph smith. thanks for this video. love it

  • i am mormon

  • @MsLinderella It does seem like an awesome song, although I don't follow the story line. But oh well it appears religious and I'm not really religious, but good luck to all with that! I'm kind of tired of hearing mixed stories about the LDS church though so I might take my soon to be missionary friend up on it and talk to the missionaries.

  • Crazy going on a two year mission for some church, I'd never be able to do that for sure!

  • @surfintheUSA26 Oh it's not a crazy idea if you know it's true, in fact my brother who was engaged just broke up the other day to go on a mission. But I found the words to this song last night, I will probably use in it in mission talk in a few days. Love the song!

  • @jea123nne Wow! This is awesome, never heard this song before but it is absolutely beautiful! The church is true!

  • @novarone72

A SONG makes you "KNOW" the church is true?

  • @jea123nne

IF Joe had a vision in 1820 in the grove of TWO PERSONAGES

    THEN

WHY did he refer to the Father AND the Son as ONE & the SAME PERSON in 1830?

  • @bdplist People are able to have more than one title. I am both a father and a son. I know that you will say joseph Smith taught he was both THE Father and THE Son. Do you agree that he is the son of god? ok lets move on from there because I get the feeling you do.

  • @howjos Joe had THREE gods!

  • @bdplist He doesn't have 3 gods, he teaches that the Godhead are 3 separate beings rather than 3 beings in 1. They are 1 in purpose but are separate and distinct individuals. I always find it difficult to picture the trinity, especially times such as the Gethsemene where Christ is essentially praying to himself for strength and asking God (himself) if it by thy will remove this cup. Christ even tells his apostles to be 1 even as he and his father are 1. This could not possibly be 1 in body.

  • @howjos Joe clearly said he had THREE gods.

How long have you been LDS?

    Dont you have THREE?

Which of the THREE do you worship?

  • @bdplist I have been LDS my whole life, and have even served a mission. I would love to see what the reference is you are quoting, so i can see what the context is.

  • "I have always declared God to be a distinct personage, Jesus Christ a separate distinct personage from God the Father, and that the Holy Ghost was a distinct personage and a Spirit: and these THREE constitute THREE distinct personages and THREE Gods. If this is in accordance with the New Testament, lo and behold! we have THREE Gods anyhow, and they are plural: and who can contradict it" Hist. of the Church 6:474

Teach. of Prop. Joseph S. p370

Reference included so you can check the "context"

  • @bdplist Thanks for the reference, much clearer now. Without first having a belief that the godhead is actually 3 distinct personages, this would be difficult to explain, as that common ground would not exist. Did you have any thoughts about my comment about Christ in Gethsemene? Other examples of distinction are times such as Christ's baptism, where jesus is being baptized, God the Father speaks from heaven and the holy ghost descends in the form of a dove. All 3 being involved at the same time

  • @bdplist With that basic premise in place we know that Christ acknowledges God the father as bows to his will, yet at the same time Christ is described to us many times as the creator i.e. John 1:3,10 (the Word is Christ and is again being described as with God, so must therefore be separate to him). If I knew Jesus was the creator, I would consider him a God, yet at the same time he submits to his father will. I.e 1 God we follow/worship yet more than 1 God around

  • @howjos So Which of the THREE LDS gods do you WORSHIP?

  • @bdplist As mentioned in the 10 commandments, and by Christ, I worship God the Father. Jesus taught that we should pray to the Father (look at the wording of the Lord's Prayer). I recognize Jesus as my Savior, yet but he acts at the will of his father. That is who I worship.

  • @bdplist ok, so I have been answering your questions, how about you respond to my one? If the godhead is not 3 separate personages, how do you explain Christ praying to himself in Gethsemene, or the scene at his baptism? to name just 2 incidents where the distinction is shown.

  • @howjos I dont disagree with a distinction of persons only with the word "separate"

Perhaps you should get a good understanding of what the trinity is before you seek to disprove a starw man of your own making.

  • @howjos Why do you disagree with the LDS APOSTLE?

"[T]hree separate personages--Father, Son, and Holy Ghost comprise the Godhead. As each of these persons is a god, it is evident, from this standpoint alone, that a plurality of gods exists. To us, speaking in the proper finite sense, these THREE are the only gods we worship." McConkie Mormon Doctrine p 576

  • @bdplist Are you aware that when McConkie wrote this he was not an apostle? This was written at a time when he was not in a position to say what church doctrine was and is recognized to contain a lot of personal opinion.

  • @howjos Yes I am aware of that. (he was a member of the first council of 70)

The second edition was corrected in 1966 under the direct approval of the prophet who assigned Spencer Kimball (quorum of 12 ) to mentor the project.

My edition is dated 1978 while McConkie was appointed to the Quorum of 12 in 1972

In addition a good part of the bible dictionary in the STD WRK comes from this book.

So I figure it is a safe bet

  • @bdplist ...cont - My understanding is that as Jesus was instrumental in the creation of the Earth (another mormon teaching you may disagree with) then he also has a claim at being the father of this earth. Let me have a look at some references and get back to you

  • @howjos

CREATOR OF ALL THINGS - BY MYSELF! Isaiah 44:24 Thus saith the LORD, thy redeemer, and he that formed thee from the womb, I am the LORD that maketh ALL THINGS; that stretcheth forth the heavens alone; that spreadeth abroad the earth BY MYSELF

  • Joseph Smith is a true prophet of God

    and someday--

    i will SERVE...

    whatever circumstance may follow...

  • This song makes me want to turn in my mission papers and go right now. Sigh!

  • oh Arklyn, mormonhunnies et al....you are as brainwashed as the rest of us one way or the other

  • this is so beautiful.. the lyrics are so inspiring and my soul rejoices.. :D

  • I am not Mormon, nor have I ever been. But, I do find this song to be so beautiful and inspiring that I keep coming back to it again and again. I love to read the testimony in the comments section. Very inspiring stuff. I LOVE expression of worship and love for God!

  • That's awesome! It's a really beautiful song. If you want to learn more about the Church let us know. Take care!

  • I know...isn't it such an inspiring song? I just ran across it a little bit ago and keep coming back to it too.

  • michaelgrella: congrats on the mission call! hopefully you can be in memphis!! that is where i am from.

  • What a wonderful thing to find on Fast Sunday! I have a very strong testimony that Joseph Smith truly did see Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ, just as he said he did. I know he was a Prophet, and that all of his works were good, true, and for the benefit of all mankind. I know the Book of Mormon is true, and that it goes hand-in-hand with the Bible. I know the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the one true Church. I know we have a Prophet now, Thomas Monson.

  • @arklyn i'm sorry my friend, but you are wrong, the mormon scripture does not go hand in hand with the bible, but there is great news, you can know jesus christ as your personal friend and saviour today, without the temple, without the prophets, without pride and you can be free. not wanting to be a god, but to know the true and only god, jesus christ. if you look to the bible and search for christ alone you will find him and be truly happy and fullfilled in life. waiting to meet him.

  • i loooovvvveeee this song!!! It always makes me cry with joy!!!

  • I love this song.

  • holla!

    ;)

  • Thank you for sharing this with us.

  • Absolutely beautiful. Thank you for putting this together. He was indeed a prophet of God.

  • i love this ♥♥♥

  • loved the message and music thank you for sharing with us.

  • I'm going on a mission soon, I'm going to the Arkansas Little Rock mission, I go to the MTC September 3rd, I'm so excited, I love teaching the restored gospel of Jesus Christ.

  • Enjoy your time in the MTC. It's like Spiritual Disneyland. Also, check the space above your closet. Sometimes Missionaries in the MTC leave things for future missionaries to find. Be sure to leave something yourself. Check behind the lightswitch plate, too. My friend wrote a letter to his Brother who would be going on his Mission before my friend got home from his mission. He mailed him a map that lead him to the letter. It was really cool.

  • My boys really enjoy learning about Joseph Smith.

They also like singing about him too.

  • Great song and clips that illustrates the message. Thanks for the compilation and for sharing it. Really, everything in this dispensation all started in the quiet grove.

  • I know that Joseph Smith was a true prophet inspired by Heavenly Father to restore the Gospel, for this we have a plan to return to our heavenly fathers presence.

  • I love your testimony.I feel so inspired by the Lord, whenever I pray, I could how peaceful I am.He's always forgiving the sins of His Children whenever we honestly repent. I love Him and Glory To Him for everlasting

  • It's the my first time hearing this song in English. It's just beautiful and the video is well done. Good job and thanks for sharing it with the world.

  • is very god

  • so beautiful..it touches my heart..thank you for posting this

  • Love the song, love the message!
