@automobilslalom I had a hicas diff in my s13 silvia and yes they still do drift its just a bit weird having your rear wheels, awesome for tight turning. I now have a hicas lockbar so it elimiantes the hicas, holds skids/drifts way better now with no play in rear wheels

The R32 GTR uses a regular middlediff that provides a minimum of torque to the front, just to spin the wheels lightly, of course it will cause some heat to the oil and discs inside the diff, but it is not way so much as in the R33 Atessa. It has a lot of more tension in advance, to react faster. If you remove the fuse, the bigger permanent difference between front and back wheelspeed while drifting causes a lot of more heat to the middlediff and might destroy it. I use the 2WD sometimes :-)

@antknee420 no it doesnt. r32 its fine to remove the fuse and run in rwd, the r33 gtr and newer you can remove but it will wear out the transfer case clutch plates.

Had a look, and pulled fuse #1 (inside the car, marked 4WD) and both the 4WD and ABS yellow dash lights come on. However, took it for a drive in the wet and it's definately RWD only!!!

Yes GTR. Very esy to make permanent or temporaryily Rear wheel drive, as easy as removing a fuse or installing an inline switch. Much harder on R33 and 34 an therefore you dont seee it often, the mangdament system i is to smart and it hthey need the front shafts removed, stuff around with the atessa system pump etc.
