  • Not really sure. Check with Ron Jones @ Thunderbird Avaiation. He now produces the Hiperlight kits. I never flew in much wind. The plane was a ball to fly though.

  • Whats the crosswind capability?

  • It is a Rotax 447, 40 hp. with and 3 blade IVO prop

  • what cc is it

  • Wow...Dennis...that is amazing! Can't wait to see your next creation!

  • Thanks to the 600 plus people that have viewed this video. Please note that the Hiperlight, as stronge as it is, is not rated for Acro. Now a plug for Thunderbird Aviation. You can't buy a better Ulltralight or LSA as well built as the Hiperlight. The single seater will out perform just about all the single UL aircraft out there. Yoiu can't do a bad landing in a Hiperlight The saying you get what you pay for applies here. The kits are worth every penny.

  • No, it is a Rotax 447. I built and flew the plane for 6 years. I never rolled it but I did many hammerheads. It would pivot like a pin was in the middle. I miss her. I would like another but too expensive at my age.

  • Nice bit of flying, it that the 277? It sounds like it could be a MZ? I have never been happy with the amount of roll rate I have. I would like to ad a top aileron with roll only to make it better, I do love the plane thou.

  • Dennis, you are the MAN, side slipping in your SNS-8. What a nice vertical climb in takeoff! No loops or roll though, right?
