Well, I'm still getting a Toyota, but it's a model that's not in production anymore (MKIV Supra) so much for Toyota's glory days though. Of course. Would it be better if they were making all the cars in Japan and the U.S. workers had to get jobs at Walmart? The point I was making is when people start waving flags about buying American, it's difficult to tell what's really American anymore. I think employing American workers and keeping that money in the country is more important that profits going to another country. It's a much bigger figure than profits. It's chump change in comparison.

Toyota, like most big companies (including U.S. owned cos.) are owned by shareholders, who might be in Japan, or Europe or U.S. etc. Personally, I don't give a rat's ass about shareholders. American workers, and keeping a roof over their heads is more important. Buying a Toyota isn't unpatriotic if it is built by American workers.

8 out of 10 autoworkers are imployed by the Big three. GM alone employs more workers then Nissan, Toyota, and Honda combined. As dose Ford. DaimlerChrysler was a merger between Chrysler and Mercedes, which made Chrysler 50% German and 50 American.
