In fact there is only about 40 JTF-2 assaulters in the entire country. Which means if you look at it in terms of probability, you are 85x more likely to become a professional or olympic athlete. So as you can see JTF-2 is not an easy organization to join, they are much much stricter in who they except compared to SEALs, Rangers and CSOR. Like I said before only DEVGRU (Seal team 6) and Delta force have similar exceptance standards.

I know this for a fact since there is roughly 600 members of JTF2 and commander of JTF2 even said they can only have around 200 assaulters at a time because of the standards to get into the unit.

CSOR is the equivalent of U.S Rangers, Seals. JTF-2 just like DEVGRU and DELTA force is essentially, like in sports the all-star team; the best of the best.

Look up the war of 1812, sorry to tell you the british won that one too.

This only comes through good communication, strong leadership and expedient military success. The entire mission in Vietnam had none of that. Goal: stop the northern communist uprising and force them out leaving a democratic government in place. Result: US withdrawal and subsequent annexation of the south by the north. I call that a loss. Not entirely sure how you can say otherwise.

JTF2 Is CTF and you can read about how they specialize themselfs in ONLY THIS. Thats why theyre very good in counter terrorism tactics. But they dont move out in the woods/sabotage ASO.
My dad was a SEAL for over 20 yrs, he laughed when I showed him the comment about Canadian regular infantry beating SEAL's in "war games" . He definitely has high praise for JTF2 and hinted that he worked alongside them and that they really are cream of the crop. not only did Canadian regular infantry beat the SEALs, but the Canadian army reserve beat the Delta Force (Green Berets) in about 3 war game exercises.
And we're also infintly awsome in every way. My buddy was saying how he was stationed over the seas, and the american were downright drooling over our C7 / C8 rifles... seems we make better versions of the M16 family as well.

@lexclayton actually no, Canada's army is not better trained. The main difference between the two is that Canada has less men and as such you get more cross training. When I was in the army, I was comms , anti armour , LAV 3 25mm gunner trained, and had experience both as a rifleman and machine gunner (section, platoon and company level). I also was used in leadership roles without the required courses both at home and overseas. If you give a US soldier the same courses he would do just as well.

In an equal numbers and equipment situation, the CF will take out the US Army for the reasons you have highlighted. The CF is a better rounded soldier.

@minulaptor Well from what I saw they NEED LOTS OF PRACTICE. Many couldn't even climb a rope in the obstacle course, one even fell and broke an arm. I even saw a few chubby soldiers in youre "well trained army.". So the CA isn't equal to the USMC by any means, maybe the US National Guard but the CA needs to GTFO of the way for reals.

Longer by like a few months, but it also gets you some good experience if you plan on joining JTF2. And it's a fun thing to do when your still in high school. Pay is ok for a school job.
thats not to bad. does the reserves run through the summer. because i play AAA baseball and need to go there practices everytime because the coach says its mandatory.
I joined reserves before reg force. took 5 months too transfer. but take it like this. if you join the reserve now you'll do your bmq sq and dp1 and maybe more qualifications then when you go reg force you keep your qualifications execpt your dp1 you'll have to do it again cause its 3 1/2 months insted of 1. so you'll still be qualified bmq so no need to go to st-jean-sur-richelieu and you'll save time and when you in the reg force if you have more qualif. you'll keep them so its a good thing
yeah! just apply for your tranfser a couple months before graduating from school so when you get out of school its gonna be faster for you to transfer. I had my dp2a weapon detachment qualif. and when i transfered i kept it so i was still qualifified 9mm c6 with tripod mortor with bipod and was able to coach the c9 and the c7. and at the batallion the people going on that course is coporals so its just to show you that if you'd go reserves it would help you. and you'll also go up ranks faster

i used to be ( I'm sure you know) 1RNBR A coy in edmundston. and i wa class b in gagetown i was working for lfaatc. i transfered april 17th in valcartier and did my dp1 at cisqft ( witch is the infantry school) and now i'm at the 3rd bon and i'm going out on the 3-10

JTF2 is one of the best special forces in the world with some of the best training in the world for all our infantry.

CSOR is the equivalent of U.S Rangers, Seals. JTF-2 just like DEVGRU and DELTA force is essentially, like in sports the all-star team; the best of the best.

If you want to split hairs I will say that on that day Canadian infantry pushed the furthest. You did lose Vietnam, a retreat is a loss. the whole reason for going in there was to stop the spread of communism from the north to the south....mission not accomplished, it's a loss. Look up the war of 1812, sorry to tell you the british won that one too.

Secondly, don't discount the acts of Canadians in the War of 1812, there is no British victory w/o the heavy engagements of the militias in that war.

@Blackops206 U.S. Foces didn't loose in Vietnam, Politians in Washington did, if you can even call it that. The U.S. withdrew leaving the south Vietnam army the most best equipted in Asia. It was the souths leadership which caused the final colapse there, officers deserting their troops in the field on a massive scale, trying to save their own skins.

This only comes through good communication, strong leadership and expedient military success. The entire mission in Vietnam had none of that. Goal: stop the northern communist uprising and force them out leaving a democratic government in place. Result: US withdrawal and subsequent annexation of the south by the north. I call that a loss. Not entirely sure how you can say otherwise.

Their only their 2 SOF. JTF-2 is ranked in second in the world next to the SAS who were ranked in 1st. SEAls didn't even make the top 10 and Delta Force barely made it either. My dad was a SEAL for over 20 yrs, he laughed when I showed him the comment about Canadian regular infantry beating SEAL's in "war games" . He definitely has high praise for JTF2 and hinted that he worked alongside them and that they really are cream of the crop. @lexclayton actually no, Canada's army is not better trained. The main difference between the two is that Canada has less men and as such you get more cross training. When I was in the army, I was comms , anti armour , LAV 3 25mm gunner trained, and had experience both as a rifleman and machine gunner (section, platoon and company level). I also was used in leadership roles without the required courses both at home and overseas. If you give a US soldier the same courses he would do just as well.

@minulaptor Well from what I saw they NEED LOTS OF PRACTICE. Many couldn't even climb a rope in the obstacle course, one even fell and broke an arm. I even saw a few chubby soldiers in youre "well trained army.". So the CA isn't equal to the USMC by any means, maybe the US National Guard but the CA needs to GTFO of the way for reals.

I joined reserves before reg force. took 5 months too transfer. but take it like this. if you join the reserve now you'll do your bmq sq and dp1 and maybe more qualifications then when you go reg force you keep your qualifications execpt your dp1 you'll have to do it again cause its 3 1/2 months insted of 1. so you'll still be qualified bmq so no need to go to st-jean-sur-richelieu and you'll save time and when you in the reg force if you have more qualif. you'll keep them so its a good thing

yeah! just apply for your tranfser a couple months before graduating from school so when you get out of school its gonna be faster for you to transfer. I had my dp2a weapon detachment qualif. and when i transfered i kept it so i was still qualifified 9mm c6 with tripod mortor with bipod and was able to coach the c9 and the c7. and at the batallion the people going on that course is coporals so its just to show you that if you'd go reserves it would help you. and you'll also go up ranks faster

JTF2 is one of the best special forces in the world with some of the best training in the world for all our infantry.
You Americans get all up in arms when thats said because you're so used to seeing actors in uniform kicking ass in movies or on tv, or playing one in a video game.
Also the JTF2 doesn't legally exist because the people in it have their identities erased as long as they are in it.

yea,they are very secrative and some say they are better than the united states marine force, wich started out secrative but EVERYONE knows about the marines and what theyve done wich is definately NOT very professional.the marines have a lot to learn about being special forces

ya, i know, i later retracted my comment and said i meant to write Seals. in your opinion, who is better, JTF2 or Seals? i think JTF2 because special forces are all about secrecy, adn give me one person who DOESNT know about the Seals. plus, smaller numbers are better, result in less deaths and with special forces, only a couple men are assigned to each mission

Ohh sorry bro, I didn't see you're second comment, and yes I totally agree because I'v known about the seals for ever, I'v known about delta for ever, SAS almost for ever, lol most of our own population don't even know we have special forces and apparently they've bin around since the 90s, and lets change a "couple men" to a few, unless its like straight reconnaissance, two dudes chillin in the bush with ghillies.
