  • Does anyone have the soundtrack @ 2:33

  • santa cruz was the only track i really liked cause of the roller coaster image at the end and i loved the music for that track

  • The best arcade racing game ever!! This game reminds me of all my childhood.

    While my fav tracks are Central Valley and Santa Cruz, the best BGM of all is the one that plays in Los Angeles.

  • I found the arcade cabnet for this, bout to get it for the kids christmas. This is going to be awesome!

  • Need BGM that played from 959 till the end of the vid, been looking for it since game came out

  • specs please?

  • sexy girls i lovin'it

  • What are your PC specs?

  • 1 For MAME this needs a CHD or something?

    2 What is better? mouse or usb/ps2 controller?

  • @danylopez123 1. Yes. You need the CHD file. 2. USB/ ps2 controller is the way to go. PS2 controllers are superior.

  • @danylopez123 thank you

    by the way how do recorded this whit perfect speed?

    because for me run about 75%

  • While technically the arcade version is better, the music on the N64 version is sooooooooooooo much better :)

  • Man do I love this game! I need to play it again sometime. Anyway, I loved how you customized your cars and got hidden ones! Great job!

  • Since N64 -version was rushed and not done as well as this game deserves, California Speed MUST be released for any current console as an Arcade -perfect version... -It is simply too good to be forgotten!

  • wow is better than need for speed xD

  • wouldn't it be cool to have this on the wii? It would be PSYCADELIC!!!!!

  • WHOA PSYCHADELIC!!!

  • At what CPU clock speed is this game running on?

  • @firefire97867 This game runs on an MIPS R5000 clocked at 150 megahertz.

  • im having a lot of troubles with the controllers wich is the best config for them?

  • I use a usb/ps2 controller

    square = gas

    X = brakes (which I never use)

    The shoulder buttons could be configured to gears if you like to use manual.

    Analog is a must but the sensitivity must be adjusted! using the digital pad will result in a complete fail. I leave camera controls and radio to the keyboard. I hope that helps. feel free to ask any more questions.

  • and where do you configure the sensibility, cause tu turn left/right i have to hold the bottons like 4 seconds

    thx very much for answering

  • When you press tab, there should be an option for "ANALOG CONTROLS". Select that and In there you should find "paddle sensitivity" raise it up or down depending on your needs. Or if you dont have any analog and your using a standard digital pad, you can adjust "digital speed". Trial & error. It took me a while to get it to how I wanted it.

  • @classicgamevideos well i selected manual for transmission but in game it was still automatic. are you using the "calspeed" rom here? There is another rom named "calspeda".

  • Great demonstration of gameplay. BTW, does this car have any other views like in-car or dash?

  • yes, in-car view. no dash view.

  • Cool thanks man
