@inetsolution because rpm stands for rotations per minute so the 7200 rpm is going to generate more heat but on the other hand the solid state drive is flash memory to it doesn't rotate at all generation tiny amounts of heat.

Actually, changing the drive out from 5400 to 7200 made the computer quite a bit hotter, but the SSD seemed cooler than the 5400.
