Daily Mail - Harriet Harman pulls embryo Bill to 'boost hopes in by-election' - By Michael Lea 10th July 2008
"Harriet Harman stunned Parliament yesterday by pulling a flagship embryo research Bill at the 11th hour. The move led to accusations that Labour feared a backlash from Roman Catholic voters in the crucial Glasgow East by-election later this month".
This means the requirement not to consider a child's need for a father in IVF treatment is shelved for the moment.

Every child should have a father, access to him, EXCEPT in very exceptional, PROVED WITHOUT ANT REASONABLE DOUBT IN AN OPEN COURT WITH EVIDENCE circumstances..
