It's pronounced as it should be pronounced in French, as the man who formed DiC, Jean Chalopin, is French. In fact, DiC originally stood for "Diffusion, Information et Communication". DiC has ALWAYS been pronounced "Deek".

It's also a shout-out to the American co-founder Andy Heyward's father, Louis "Deke" Hayward.
