From the sounds of the .25 cal, you are getting hammer bounce. I also get hammer bounce when my gun is set for optimal velocity and power. The Airguns Arizona seems to really control the bounce and get's on average abut 5 more shots per fill.
1: Try and answer all the questions that viewers might have in the descriptions section that nobody seems to read.
2: Spend the rest of my life answering the same questions over and over that would pop up here in the comments. If I was looking for 100's of pages of comments, I might consider this route.
3: Try and be informative during the video & explain what's going on along the way. I figure why leave the viewer in the dark during the video.
It has good ballistic coefficient, and it's weight combine to give good downrange energy--actually beating some of the .25's in that respect. Unfortunately, it wasn't very accurate in my gun. (See my accuracy & energy test video above for more details)
I'll try them again when I get my new .22 barrel on.
Someone was really hungry at 9:23. That .25 cal really hammers that target. Its definitely louder, but its chucking some serious lead. Very cool video.
@autohckr Not sure why it does that, been doing it since day one. The bolt is actually rotating slightly toward the unlock position. If anything, the .22's bolt is looser, but it doesn't do that.
Nice place, nice dog, nice shooting, I like your video and explanations, very natural. Yeah, I have the marauder 22cal, it's very accurate, a very cool rifle. I'll be making a Bullpup kit for it. Good stuff, take care
Nice job on the video. Grat looking dog to. He doesn't look very happy that you are using his lunch for a rifle rest. LOL! Just a tip for quality and time saving purposes you should edit out any time you have to focus the lens. Blurry shots are not pleasing to look at and take up time that could otherwise be saved. Overall it was a great result. 25 is louder. To save on air usage in either gun, order the HDD from Airguns of Arizona. Will reduce noise and give more shots per fill.
The 25 cal sounds louder by about 40%. I have a 25 Cal Marauder and mine is pretty quiet. The hammer ping is a lot louder than the sound of the shot. I got my marauder about 30 days ago. Mine had a tag on the trigger guard stating that it was tuned for 3000 PSI. The sound of your .25 cal far exceeded any hammer ping noise. Maybe Crosman made a change in the shroud design to quiet it down. Mine seems very quiet, except that the hammer ping is louder than the sound of the shot. Hope it's lowered.
@bxvytv A good silencer is supposed to loser the noise out put by 40%. So if I was to get a good silencer would it be possible to make the .25 sound like the .22.
My .22 vs .25 accuracy video is taking longer than expected to film. It will probably be more of a comparison between pellets than of the two guns. The target will be at 60 yards along with a chronograph to give velocity readings at that point. The biggest holdup is the weather. For the chronograph to be accurate, the sky needs to be overcast, and to be a fair test, the winds must also be calm. Sometimes both conditions are right and I can do some filming.
@basketball1070 Besides the 3 .22 pellets in this video, my next video on accuracy will also include the following .22 pellets:
JSB Diadolo Exact(18.1gr), Predator Polymag(16gr), Beeman Field Target Special(14.66gr), and H&N Baracuda Match 5.53 head(21.14gr).
Of all 7 tested, the Beeman FTS has been the most accurate followed by the Baracuda. If shot placement and accuracy is your main concern for hunting, I would try those two first for your new .22 Marauder.
Nice Video...I have a .22 Marauder That is very accurate and I see all the bad talk on the forums about it performance. I would like you to please do a side by side comparison of both these guns shooting their favorite pellets @ 50 yards. on (paper)
shooting for the best groups....That is the only thing your video was missing, and also would have should how quiet the guns are because that metal target ringing overwhelms the guns sounds. ;)
@friscovet415 Stay tuned, might be a few weeks, but that is currently in the planning stages. Just got 4 new tins of ammo today for a total of 4 .22 tins and 6 .25 tins. I will be shopping for a gun rest this weekend and possibly a cheap chronograph to incorporate some velocity figures into the test also.
Thought about moving the microphone further away to represent what a next door neighbor might be hearing.
6-8 rounds and 1 paper target per pellet type, wood backstop, and LESS cow bell.
@KrisMinnear Im sorry, you answered that question in the video. I had another 2 of them though; which one do you recommend overal (.22/.25) and what is the most accurate pellet for the .25?
@Bezemkast33 Since I really don't mind working the hand pump, I like the extra power that the .25 provides. If I was having to buy CO2 canisters or pay to have bottles filled, I might think differently. The cost per pellet difference is higher for the .25, but I feel reasonable. For example, using Pyramid Air's site for reference, the per pellet price for the expensive Predator Polymag in .22 is 6.9 cents. In .25 it is 9.3 cents. After 1000 rounds, it would cost $24 more to shoot the .25
@Bezemkast33 So far, I have been happy with the 25.4 grain JSB Exact Kings in .25. I am still waiting on the chronograph to come in to do some more accurate accuracy tests. I have a tin of Predator Polymags and a tin of Kodiak Match to try for the .25's test--both look promising.

@BeyondNeptune I figure I have three options:

If you had to buy one for small game hunting and large pest control, would you prefer the .25 or the .22?
TFB82 1 month ago
@TFB82 The .25
It will do everything the .22 will do, just better for the bigger pests.

@bxvytv
your rifle may not be tuned the same way his is. This rifle might be shooting pellets faster than your rifle, thats why your rifle is quieter.

FX is quiter/moar shots/more shots per charge! ;D

@sheyon1000 You would expect that considering the large price fluxuation. Think of the marauders as a poor mans gun comparibly :)
