Even though he was French, I can't help but feel a strong connection with Debussy's music with my Russian culture. He just emphasizes so beautifully every happy and sad feeling there is
OMG! What's up with the Valley Girl style writing? D-U-D-E.
If you knew anything at all about art and culture you have have developed a critical faculty by now...but stuck in Texas one can believe you're a stoner hick.
Debussy himself was a music critic...and often quite negative...so I guess you would have been writing to him too if you lived in his time. But then you'd have to write in French. And you can barely write in English.
@anjelica911 sorry it means the colour of Flax. With flaxen hair you can of course braid or plait if its long enough.....as with red brown and black hair :-))))))
I heard this in a Japanese movie called All About Lily Chou-Chou about a year ago. It showcased a lot of Debussy's music really well. The scene were this song plays was beautiful. And apparently Debussy called his daughter chou-chou, so there you go!

Damn, that's one ugly painting.
The figure kneeling is not holding the flute in any way that one might play flute.
And WTF does Saint Sebastian with all the arrows have to do with Debussy...or the Girl with the Flaxen hair? Is she hiding in the castle?

@Mavedalicious Wikipedia says, in its article about 'flaxen' that Debussy was referring to color of hair in his title. (A sort of blonde.)

Claude Debussy wrote some of the most beautiful music of the 19th century. Thank you for posting this work of art.
