Taking someones property is immoral? since when. If taking others property in the context of law enforcement (or taxation) is immoral, then enforcing property rights, since they are coercive and restrict freedoms, must also be immoral.
Your argument is meaningless piffle. Rights are created by law, and enforced through coercion, just like taxes. Rights and entitlements are purely political entities, and therefore alterable by the government (through taxation and regulation for example). This by definition cannot be theft, because theft is the illegal taking of other persons property.
@Torbellicus I think the issue is then, that the rights, and how they may be altered at will (taxation), are not in accordance with how most people think they should be. Because obviously a government can be tyrannical, and it might be perfectly legal, but it doesn't mean that what it does is good in view of common-sense morality...
@radscorpion8 ...Such as, the government shouldn't be entitled to a portion of your money because you were born in that country, and one shouldn't be forced to live under the laws of the majority (which can be seen as a form of pervasive tyranny). Of course, by extension the person who upholds that view would also have some theory explaining how property rights should be enforced in an anarchy, etc..
Someone whose social behavior is extremely abnormal. Sociopaths are interested only in their personal needs and desires, without concern for the effects of their behavior on others.
Is A Tax Collector A Moral Person? of course... If you don't think so, you truely are stupid.
In the video he misunderstands.

@Torbellicus
Saying that restricting someone's freedom to infringe on other people's rights is wrong is just silly.

Prior to women getting the vote 50 years ago, government was shrinking. Since then it has grown into tyranny with the aid of Communists.
Do your homework and you to will know.

Good point, MacFall. I think the shocking part for us was that he actually spoke that thought.
